Relocate TFG parlaiment to PL

Recommended Posts

One must be rational at all times, the emotional outburst here and irrelevant analogies and explanations will not mask the desperations of those who supported and marketed the failed caravan of nonsense. Puntland should invite any Somali who is seeking refugee from the Sharif mess, but these Somali’s should recognize the state already has a government that functions very well.

If the status of the republics capital is on the table, then yes, we have something to discuss, if you want to run away to Puntland after ignoring its needs, denying its governments existence and reneging on the Galkacyu agreement, then you and those who support you are more delusional than we thought.

:D

Amazing that political orphans want to negotiate with Sharif as if Puntland admin is buying into the bring-the-capital-over-and-we-will-help proposition. :D

It's silly indeed

Its terrible contradiction to be a Puntlander and still have a man crush on the likes of Sharif Hotel an utter failure. Though its clean no real puntlander trusts such creatures, every society has its weaklings, that’s not a big problem. Puntland will take what is its right, which is to lead all of Somalia. This talk of Sharif is just time wasting, and the weak minded still have hope, the rest of us have moved on. :D

Puntland is on the right track, its developing its capabilities as a state, this is one of the great hopes for Somalia. Sharif Hotel has lost the whole south and condemned the population to the foreign stoning and beheadings of Al Shabaab, this is not what we want in the last bastion of hope.

Those in love with a failing man, need to reflect themselves, a bit of soul searching is required and then move on.

It's not one man that failed. It's somalia that failed. The reasons are many. Clannish zero sum game contianed in the negative sentiments of the few posts above are some of the reasons Somalia is failing.

Oh my, now its Somalia’s fault this moron Sharif Hotel can not even rule a single village? Its Somalia’s fault for his lack of leadership skills, his greed, his clan centric politics that made him declare a Jihad in 2006 against the state? :D Yeah right...

Its amusing that those who claim to be from Puntland and have a man crush on Sharif Hotel do not have the balls and the honesty to admit they were wrong in supporting this man, that their passion for the man overpowered their logic. How on earth can Janagow admitted that he and Sharif were wrong and you are unable to do so? :D

^^One can never sufficiently address the psychological scares of yesterday's conflict adeer. If one chooses to be a prisoner of the past, one has that choice indeed though it didn't do much to advance the aspirations of the Oodweyne's of the world who long ago embarked on that road.

2009 is not 2006. Times has solved many things, exposed deviants and allowed Somalis to see the challenges they face in the benefit of hindsight.

Move on, I say.

Indeed time has changed but to us the deviants of 2006 are the same in 2009 and their leaders of 2006 should not be spared because they changed shirts, their weakness was evident then and its clearer today. Somalia needs change, and to be honest Sharif Hotel failure has exceeded all and any expectations we had that he would fail.

Now should Puntland be used to cover up his shame and incompetence, I say no. I can clearly differentiate the failing man and his hapless supporters, they have hope of redemption he does not.

Sharif is the president. Puntland is a federal state and falls within the jurisdiction of TFG. Puntland has not seceded from Somalia. Little squabbles here and there are inevitable but they are not undefeatable. I am glad those on the lead know this fact very well and appreciate the political nuance.

^^^Sharif is a President in name, Somalia is a unique country, the fact that Puntland leaders public outburst and Sharif’s failure to visit the state while he has visited Uganda, Kenya, Qatar USA, Turkey[Twice] and other areas should highlight the depth of understanding between him and Puntland leaders.

One needs to move on, the solution to Somalia is Puntland everything else is hot air and passion for men. :D

You are focusing on one man probably for the reasons I outlined above if not why do you ignore the fact that a large delegation of TFG not only visited PL but signed an Accord with it Gaalkacyo.

There are two models in Somalia one that says we are seceding because Somalia failed, and the other one that asserts that we will do everything we can to fix somalia for we are part of Somalia..and that is Puntland's opproach, the rest is strategic mauvering. Sharif will not be a president for Somalia for ever he will go away one day for those who wish him resign, but Somalia will not go away

Lets address a few points, Puntland will not secede, it does not need to, those who cry secession when it makes a positive move I have no time to indulge, it will have its own symbols of state and should work to create a real deterrent in order to secure its vested interests.

The Galkacyu agreement is very important in shedding light into what type of organization this TFG is, who went to Galkacyu and who stayed behind? The delegation was led by a son of Puntland, contained key Yusufites like Jurile. None of the key Sharif support base went, Sharif Xasan, Ibbi, and Abdulkadir Ali Omar and Abdishakur Warsame were left in Mogadishu sulking and bitter. Not only that, the PM was given a hard time by the Mogadishu media, we then had the rushed Djibouti deal and after that Sharif completely rejected the agreement and had a public spat with Faroole. Thus even the key moment for you is no more than a broken promise, which highlights to the Young Turks just what a political creature Sharif Ahmed is.

One can be resolved to oppose anyone he wishes but what we wanted to correct (and corrected we did to a large degree) is the fact that PL is not out of sync with TFG. Those who lead TFG were selected precisely as an acknowledgement of PL's political position and stability.

Puntland stability and power has nothing to do with Sharif Hotel and his gang. The topic is should the Parliament move to Puntland, the answer is no, they should be dissolved. A new reconciliation conference should be held in Puntland and Garowe should be the capital of all the Somali’s.
