It is sad to see these guys being killed senselessly everyday like sheep.

Wasn't the news media saying elders from Harardhere city were traveling to the scene to secure a safe passage for the four pirates without any violence? What happened to the negotiations?

It is very clear the Americans didn't want the French to outdo them and were itching for some sort of "heroic" rescue.

Sad indeed.

Ilaahay ha u naxariisto, dambigoodana ha dhaafo.

^^^This is the way US deals with these situations. All the time they were waiting for them to get tired run out of food and son on, then they made their move and killed most of them.

Tragic another Somali story.

^ i doubt you understand how it feels when you have no food, no water and live in abject misery. And the only source of income is being ransacked by european and asian fishing vessels.

No body wants to be a pirate. But when it's that or survival then it's simple choice to make.

I don't see the thing as being funny. Just another sad tragic case in a long lists of cases in somalia's history.

A nation where people are flocking to be pirates because there is nothing to live for. It's not funny mate.

It's sad

Sounds like a typical Pentagon central command talking point.........Anyone else see the mockery of a investigative report they had on CNN last night regarding piracy? How about Prof.Said Samatar providing horrendus representation of the Somali perspective, literally advocating an invasion of the region, as well as being adamant in making a connection between piracy and so called terrorism. That was very painful to watch, seems like the old man is pushing for an advisory position within the new administration on the new international cause de celebre.

Lol@Norf. Hala laayo dheh. How about Norf pays a visit to Xarardheere and Hobyo today and passes his thoughts there in front of grieving families. :D just teasing ya saxib. Awoowe, just remember that killing these pirate kids is never justified and there is absolutely no joy in this saga and how it ended regardless of how you look at the issue of piracy in general.
