Hargaysa behind Al Shabaab Godane, Afghani mere agents

Recommended Posts

Its been clear for a long time that the anarchy in Southern Somalia sustains the secessionists project in Hargaysa. The blame was once heaped on Warlords and clan militia as evidence of Hargaysa’s progress. Today it’s the “Terrorist next door” with reference to the Al Shabaab occupied Southern Somalia.

How can it be possible that the top leaders of Al Shabaab are now mostly from the Hargaysa clans?

Also how can one deny that even a son of a “cabinet” minister of Siilanyu’s went and joined his uncle Godane in Mogadishu and within a fortnight became a brigade commander?

Todays alleged findings if true is the smoking gun.. Somaliland is playing with fire by trying to keep the South Central in a state of turmoil and trying to start a war in Puntland..

This is clear a breach of International conventions aiding a terrorist group to destabilise a stable region in a war-torn country.

It's illegal and shows how immature Somaliland is and their irresponsibility. They're playing with fire and the danger is quiet evident.

The Intelligence Agency of Puntland need to pass this sensitive information to the relevant parties in order for them to deal with these danger unparalleled.

Somaliland aggressions

Under Somaliland's former president, Mr. Dahir Riyale, Somaliland funded and provided military assistance to Atom's fighters in Galgala, according to Puntland government documents dating back to 2006.

That policy was part of Somaliland's "illegal practice" to destabilize Puntland by using proxies and to turn attention away from the real issue of "Somaliland military aggressions in Sool region," the documents revealed.

It is not clear what connections Mr. Atom might have with Somaliland's new administration under President Silanyo, but Somaliland security forces have raided houses over the past three months in Burao, seizing explosives material and arresting suspects linked to Al Shabaab, according to Somaliland officials.

Since 2007, Burao which is Somaliland's second-largest town has been the primary transit hub in Somalia used by foreign fighters and Somali militants heading to wars in Mogadishu, and more recently, in Galgala area of Puntland.

Somaliland's new Silanyo administration has publicly appealed for what Interior Minister Mohamed Abdi Gabose calls "security cooperation with Puntland," but authorities in Puntland say Somaliland must first take active steps against Al Shabaab elements inside Somaliland.

"Somaliland wants to tell the world that its peaceful, while hiding dangerous elements in major towns like Burao," said a Puntland government official who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Ahmed Abdi Godane, the elusive leader of Al Shabaab who hails from Somaliland, was quoted as saying that Al Shabaab insurgents "should not interfere in Somaliland until Puntland is destabilized first."

" Plans to destabilized Puntland have failed and so now Atom and his Al Shabaab supporters have infiltrated a major town in Somaliland," concluded the Puntland government official, whilst referring to Al Shabaab's operations in Burao.

Don't be ridiculous. Godane would destroy Hargeisa faster than he did many southern cities in order to accomplish his objective.

Thanks for making the point of the thread. Your "Emir Godane" is keeping Mogadishu in flames, blowing up Medical School Students, old men in Beledweyne, Hotel Muna and killing teenage girls in Beledweyne.

And you applaud him, why?

If Somalia is stable, SL hasn't got any excuse to get an own country..all they do is go 'look at us compared to Somalia! ' if Somalia was stable, they wouldn't have nothing.

The Hargaysa bombing aside, and that was when he was on the rise. He has never attacked Somaliland.

The PIS has stood as a major impediment to Godane & secessionist designs to destabilize Puntland as the example of Galgala clearly highlights.
