Arsenal sign Reyes in £20m deal

Loool Norf...Nostalgia wont do you any good bruv....but I can see where you come from. Bitter pill to swallow seing how Houlier is hoofin it. The Houllier game seems to be "pass it around at the back until approached by an opponent. Then hoof it up high and long to the smallest attacker in the League knowing he hasn't a prayer so the opposition get the ball. Then defend again until you get the ball back and the process starts all over again. Interesting variations on the theme include, when confronted by a 'Van Nistleroy' or King 'Henry' get ten red shirts into the Liverpool box, create confusion and hoof any loose ball as per above. Play the passing game only in your own half, another classic over the last two seasons. Any wide balls automatically go into touch, a cornerstone of the Houllier era. And, of course, buy in as many nationalities and cultures as possible to better team communication both on and off the field. .

We keep getting better and better by the minute. With ManU drawing with Leeds hmmm who knows what can happen next.

Lehmann 7 Solid

Lauren 7 Caught out a couple of times, but raised his game in the second half.

Campbell 7 Solid defensive display

Toure 7 Strong in the air today

Clichy 8 VERY good performance by our young LB. Good interceptions, very lively and still composed.

Gilberto 7 Worked hard, but should've scored.

Pires 6 Not up to his own high standards today.

Paddy 8 A terrible mistake led to Chelsea's goal, but the way Paddy took the game by the scruff of the neck was incredible.

Edu 8 Best player along with Paddy and Clichy. Strong in the tackle, imaginative passing, scored a goal, a very good all round performance.

Bergkamp 7 Brilliant pass for Paddy's goal, but tired a bit in the second half.

Henry 6 Like Pires.....

Blackburn did 'the double' over us last season in the Premiership, but there was no way we were going to let it happen again this time around. Rovers battled hard and we failed to get the opening goal from open play, relying on that man Henry again to put us ahead from a free kick. Pires bagged the second at the death to give us all three points. No midweek game this week - The calm before the storm that sees us play six games in three weeks against top opposition. Next up - Bolton Wanderers at Highbury next weekend.

Arsenal have equalled the top-flight record start of 29 games unbeaten set by Leeds United and Liverpool by avoiding defeat against Bolton Wanderers, battling to a 2-1 success.

The Gunners took another step towards the title with Robert Pires's outstanding strike and Dennis Bergkamp's second from Thierry Henry's assist proving sufficient to see off the visitors.

Arsenal 2-1 Bolton

Aston Villa 0-2 Blackburn

Chelsea 2-1 Fulham

Leicester 1-1 Everton

Liverpool 1-0 Wolves

Man United 3-0 Tottenham

Middlesbrough 5-3 Birmingham

Newcastle 3-1 Charlton

If there was anytime Arsenal could be beaten its this easter week. The schedule is pretty hectic for our thin squad.

Arsenal's squad strength is set to be tested to the very limit over the next fortnight after their Easter games against Liverpool and Newcastle were both moved forward.

We are due to face Liverpool at Highbury on Easter Saturday, followed by Newcastle at St James' Park two days later.

However, what was already a packed fixture schedule has become even more difficult, with four vital games now crammed into just nine days.
