Abortion?

Recommended Posts

Who embarrassing the guys are replying to this topic. redface.gif (I feel like covering my face) :(

Opinionated.

If a 13-15 year old knows that she is going to get pregnant then ama sure she knows that its haram and also in the end she might get some diseases. If you are Muslim its a "must" that you remain a virgin. All this crap about peer pressure don’t even go there. If you are a Muslim & smart enough you wont be listening to no fool even if that fool is your friend.

I know they will rebel, they will only rebel if there parents aint that strict. I do rebel against everyone including my parents but I don’t go around opening my legs. That's not the way.

Seriously all these teenage "girls" have to learn is the word: Abstention: Saying 'no' meaning not having intercourse

If that wont do then the next best thing (Which I don’t approve of) Contraception

You learn all these things at school.

Now dont tell me Opinionated that you didn’t learn things little things back in school.

Ama mainly directing this topic to the girls because in the end the guy will not be standing next to them.

Girls one last message:

Take care of yourselves don’t let temptations get the better of you. ;)

Imperial,

I'm a little disturbed by your definition of pro-choice in an Islamic context. You just said that it's ultimately the woman's choice as to what to do with that baby. My question is WHEN DOES IT STOP BEING HER CHOICE? By your definition, if she decides her 1 yr old baby is becoming a burden shouldn't she be able to drown him/her in the bath tub? And before you run off and say it's not the same, it is the same.

For whatever reason life is created, whether it's a beautiful union of a young married couple, the ********* and carelessness of a young teenage couple or the sick attack of rapist on an innocent victim, the moment that fertilization occurs you are dealing with a separate individual who has a right to live.

Someone else mentioned being pro-choice because the child might not have a good life ahead of him/her....to the person that posted that, look into your crystal ball and tell me what tomorrow's lottery numbers are. Somalis should know better than anyone else that life can change overnight. you can't predict how that child will live.

-I never wanted this baby

-I can't put my life on hold to take care of a child

-I made a mistake

-I can't stand to have a baby that will remind me of his father

-I will be disowned by my family

I, I, I, I ....you have the privilege of becoming a mother, a giver of life. get over yourself a think of the future (yours and the baby's).

But like Imperial said, it's ultimately her choice whether she can take the gift for Allah and make the best of it or she murders a defenseless child.

im retracting over and over, why cause my arguments last year were "pro-choice" why? im not sure, i guess being one who doesnt indulge in such a practice and isnt directly affected by it (and not likely to be too) you sometimes give yourself the right to give your opinion on the subject anyway. at least i did. however in doing so, my pity and sorrow was displaced. i felt bad for the women who were in situations where theyd have to opt for an abortion. subhanallah, ya allah forgive me. its the children who are dying for no reason. :(

I guess we agree to disagree on this one, I can respect that and in the end everyone is accountable for their sins. The example you gave was pretty extreme... I wonder how many of the Somali girls in Minnesota were in that life or death situation?

This is by far the saddest thing that could be happening to Somalis, since when did somali women start having abortion.

“… if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land — it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind…”[al-Maa'idah 5:32]

Under no circumstances will it be permissible to abort the child. Allah Taala in his infinite knowledge knows the circumstances, inspite of Him

Being Most Merciful, He has endowed the foetus with life. Can our deficient mercy to abort the child be compared to Allah Ta ala s Infinite Mercy to sustain the child. The heights of His Infinite Wisdom cannot be reached or comprehended. The importance of the biggest problem in the circumstances cannot be equivalent to the importance of the life.

whats bullsh!t is you glorifying the issue. what set of rules and laws do live by? or do you make up your own as you see fit. What I hear you saying and promoting is for Somali, Muslim girls to go out and do what ever they feel like doing, don't fight the urge, it's natural let your hormones do as they please. Basically throw out the window the only difference between humans and animals which is self control and knowing between right and wrong.

Unless there's a serial rapist running around Minnesota targeting Somali girls the facts are simple:

Pre-marital sex is the root cause of the problem.

Abortion is a taking a bad situation and making it worse.

Some of us may be wearing blinders and not see the collapse of society ( not just somali). But most of us see the moral bankrupcy happening around us. If you are a Muslim stick to the rules. They're not dependant on your geographical location.

Don't stand here and give examples of when it's right to bend the rule. Islamic rules have been valid for over 1400 yrs. Follow it all or renounce it and go your own way. But do it alone

Well let me come back one more time to respond Somealien, yes you have raised some concerns but hear me out for the last time, and see if you can follow this.

1-If your reason concerned health hazard and any possible danger to the "mother" or the "fetus", then the answer is simple "yes", that you could go for abortion subject to the advice of a medical specialist.

2-But The reason you submit is that: "you will not be able to take care of and raise properly" in that case always seek guidance from the Qur'an,if you go and read Sura Al-An'am verse 151 and verse 31 of Sure Bani Israel, explicitly forbid "killing" a child for fear of food (rizq). Care of all those living on the earth. Verse 268 of Sura al-Baqara warns that the fear of economic constraint is cultivated by "Satan".

So Somealien it is not we(borhters/sisters) here don't agree with abortion ,Allah is advising us not to do.We have all these sources that we can fall back and re-read over and over before you do any horrible decision. So plz let's be reasonable and try to do every sources available before making the last act, which is Killing Innocent Baby.

3-Thus Islam does not look at sex as an end in itself, but as a means to an end. The end of sex according to Islam is to have children.
