  1. " quote:Originally posted by wacdaraha_aduunka: I wonder what made them change Oomar from the post as I see him more qualified then the one who he was replaced with " . Wacdaraha aduunka, can you substantiate this claim? Jangeli was one of the youngest ambassador's of the Somali republic. He was educated at a boarding school in Britain and subsequently went to Brown University which is an Ivy league. He must have spent in the Foreign office/diplomatic services over 15 years!. Now how is he less qualified than Omaar who has never worked in the Diplomatic services and has been out of job for donkeys years? Inkastoo ey sidaas tahay, I would still would like to know why Omaar is being demoted. Quite a curious affair!. S.
  2. Abwaanoow, I hope the little one and the mother are doing well. Meesha ragii London ayaaba qabsadey ma istiri? Damuumaaye is in Nairobi too though I guess he wont secure a cabinet post as his brother has made the cut as it were. I hope the young guys can live up to the expectation. As you know they all thought they could do better. Let us see how they can perform on the hot seat. This Idiris guy! Was he at the Merriott hotel in Edgware Road when I hosted that debate about the Asmara conference couple years ago? The tall guy with the bold head? S.
  3. Faraxbrown, I am sure mr jangali is a capable person who can discharge his duties as fm. The question we have is why oomar is demoted? The guy has been doing his job well- that is far as we can see; public perception is important. Was he moved because the illiterate boys around the sharif don't like him- omaar had no time for them and voiced his opinion on the matter!. Xiinoow- what do you think of this cabinet? S.
  4. The triamph of yariisow over tarzan has a lot to do with clan though tarzan's personality might somewhat contributed his to political demise. Yariisow is a nice guy oo lajaanqaadi kara sharif et al.
  5. Do you remember a dark skinned guy who use to make Du'a at every meeting in London?
  6. Wasiiro dowlaha Madaxtooyada Xasan Macalin- THis is just a joke! Walahi. Any illiterate who is close to the Mr Mudeey is given a post!.
  7. Gen, I think they are copying the role of Chief Secretary to the Treasury that we have in Britain.
  8. KK, as lady your spending is reasonable. CHE, When I was young lad if I wanted to save money I had to have a reason!. You need to think about why you want to save- oftentimes mine was to set up a trust fund for my future kids!. Your case, geelee aad xaaska kabixin laheyd lacagta udhaqaaleyso- mise go'aan aheyne geel mabixineysid miyaah? S.
  9. Xiinow Gaashaan waa rageedii. Waa uu ka kabashkabashsiiyey ninkuu wareysanayey!. S.
  10. This is interesting cabinet. Why move Oomaar from his post? Although Jangeli is a competent secretary of state, I would have liked Oomaar to remain this role. I guess wuxuu lajaan qaadi waayey maamulka. S. PS: I thought this was a joke when one of the inner circle chaps mentioned this to me! He even told me to leak on SOL on Wednesday!. Anyhow, congrats to Yariisow!!

  13. Galaal’s Dilemma: The Man Who Never Was By Abdul Ahmed August 13, 2009 Major General M. Nur Galaals recent description of “the gathering of the former officers of the Somali Army ” as negative and futile meeting has shocked, amazed and bewildered not only the participants of the meeting but many in Somaliland, Puntland and elsewhere. It portrayed an irresponsibly picture of what has transpired during the informal consultative meeting in Washington DC. Maxamed N. Galaal The Greeks had a name for the likes of Galaal; they declared that a coward boasting of his courage may deceive strangers, but he is a laughing-stock to those who know him. Many, in fact, most of the officers who participated in the conference would understandably choose to ignore Mr Galaal to avoid a futile a tit-for-tat argument. However Gen. Galaals recent interview, his distorted, even whimsical assertions and his claims of bravery must be put to the test , analyzed and understood for what it really is. Because the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) lacks effective institutions and logistical means to reach out for help or solicit advice, the UN Political Office for Somalia (UNPOS) has facilitated a simple consultative meeting to assist the Transitional Federal Government cope with its current challenges. Indeed the UN has assembled top ranking military experts, professors, strategic thinkers and operations experts that Somalia ever had. The goal of this gathering was to help the Transitional Federal Government plan how to build its own army, to establish and operationalize security institutions, to secure Mogadishu and its surrounding areas, defeat the new Jihadist and possibly extend this stability gradually and peacefully in collaboration with peaceful regions and the United Nations. Contrary to Galaal’s claims on BBC, the officers didn’t not propose hard and fixed time table or a detailed operational plan. They provided an informed and plausible options, preferable models and credible timelines given all policy............. http://www.wardheern ews.com/Articles_09/ Aug/13_galaals_dilem ma_abdul.html
