  2. Dawladda Maraykanka oo markii u horreysay daboolka ka qaaday tixgelinteeda aqoonsi dawladnimo oo la siiyo Somaliland. Washington (Jam)- Kaaliyaha Xoghayaha Arrimaha Dibadda Marayanka ee Qaabilsan Africa, Mr. Charles Snyder, ayaa shaaca ka qaaday in Xukuumadda Maraykanku hadda wixii ka dambeeya tixgelinayso aqoonsi diblomaasiyadeed oo beesha caalamku siiso Somaliland, isaga oo sheegay in aanay jirin wax wanaag ah oo ka soo muuqda Dedaalkii loogu jiray Dib u heshiisiinta Kooxaha Soomaaliya ee ay ku hawlanayd Dowladda Kenya, muddo sannad ka badan. Mr. Charles Snyder, hadal dheer oo su’aalona lagu waydiiyay ayaa waxa uu ka jeediyey Shir ballaadhan oo dhawaan lagu qabtya meesha la yidhaahdo “UCLA’s Bunche Hall” oo ku taala Washington. Kulankaas oo ay soo qaban-qaabisay Xarunta Daraasadda Arrimaha Africa ee lagu magacaabo “James S. Coleman Center for African Studies” ayaa mar wax laga waydiiyay siyaasadda Dowladda Maraykanka ee Mushkiladaha ka taagan dalka Soomaaliya iyo Dareenka Maraykanka ee ku wajahan hawlaha argagixisiada ee lagu tuhunsan yahay inay ka jiraan Dalka Soomaaliya waxa uu sheegay in Soomaaliya ay ka jirto dhibaato culus oo ay sababtay Dowlad la’aanta ka taagnayd dalkaas tan iyo 1991kii markii Xukunka laga tuuray Maamulkii Maxamed Siyaad Barre. Isaga oo ka hadlayay rajo la’aanta iyo Guul darrada ka muuqata isku dayadii dib-u-heshisiinta Kooxaha Soomaaliya iyo Dedaaladii lagu doonayay in dib loogu dhiso Dalka Soomaaliya ee burburay, waxa uu Mr. Charles Snyder, yidhi; “Mar baan kaftamay, waxa uu ahaa kaftan xun. Balse, waxa uu ahaa runta biyo kama dhibcaanka ah – waxan idhi ‘Soomaali kama dambayn Siyaad Barre, sidii aanu u jirin Yuguslaavi ka dambeeyay Tito.’ Isaga oo hadalkiisa sii wata waxa uu Charles Snyder, yidhi; “Sidaa daraadeed, mar haddii uu jiri waayay wanaag ka jira kooxahii Soomaalida, Xukuumadda Washington waxa la gudboon hadda iyo wixii ka dambeeya tixgelinta Aqoonsi la siiyo Maamulka Goonida u go’ay ee Waqooyi (Somaliland) oo sannadkii 1991, soo ceshaday magacoodii duugoobay ee Somaliland, marka laga reebo Maamulkaas (Somaliland) oo cagahiisa iska taagay una dhaqmaya sidii Dowlad dhab ah, meelna kama jirto Qiimihii wadaninimo Soomaaliyeed.” Mr. Charles Snyder, oo la weydiiyey dedaalka Dowladda Kenya ee Shirka dib-u-heshiisiinta Kooxaha Soomaaliya ee uu Ambassador Kiplagat, ku hawlan yahay, waxa uu yidhi; “Kiplagat, wax badan ayuu boodhka ka jafay Arrimaha soomaaliya inta uu sameeyay in ka badan ayaanu hore u samaynay in aanu hagaajino Maamul Qabaliga aan shaqaynayn ee Muqdisho. Balse, nasiib darro wax aan isqabnayn ayaa la isku qob tolayaa.” “Hiliblihii (Dadqalkii) Hargeysa, Maxamed Xirsi Moorgan, ma suurto gelin karaa inuu Muqdisho ka taliyo, mar haddaanu ku lahayn Qabiil uu metelo?…jawaabtu waa maya, dhibaatada jiraa waa taas.” Isaga oo hadalkiisa sii wata waxa uu yidhi; “Moorgan, oo magaca ‘Butcher of Hargeysa’ uu u baxay Dabayaaqadii sannadihii Sideetamaadkii markii uu Waqooyi ka dhanka ahaa dhaqdhadhaqaaqii SNM, ma awoodi karayaa ninkaasi inuu wakhtigan Door muhiim ah ka ciyaaro Muqdisho…..Sababta aan miisan u lahayn, koox yar dhallinyaro oo dablay ah ayuun baa u haysta inuu yahay hoggaamiye militeri oo awood leh…. Sidaa darteed, marka aad doonayso in aad waajahdo dhibaatada intaas le’eg uma wajihi kartid sidii adiga oo Buskut macaan diyaarinaya. Qaabka ay Dowladda Kenaya hawsha dib-u-heshiisiinta markii hore u bilowdayna kama uu duwanayn sida loo diyaariyo Buskudka, balse Mushkiladda Soomaaliya taala waa mid ka qara weyn. Marka la doonayo in dib-u-heshiisiin laga dhex dhaliyo Qabali iyo Qaab-dhismeedyo dhaqami ah waa in uu yeesho Miisaan intaa ka qara weyn, waayo, waxa meel walba jooga aktaro, aan nin walba dabadii laga hadal degaanka uu joogo.” Sababahaas awgood ayuu sheegay Mr. Charles Snyder, in aanay arrimaha Soomaaliya ahayn kuwo Xal u helistoodu dhow dahay, waxana uu tibaaxay maadaama mushkiladda Soomaaliya ay yihiin kuwo Caal waa ah oo quus laga joogo in Xukuumadda Maraykanku ay tixgelin siinayso Aqoonsi Diblomaasiyadeed oo Somaliland ay ka hesho Beesha Caalamka. Dowladda Maraykanku waxa ay arrimaha Soomaaliya faraha kala baxday markii uu dhicisoobay hawlgalkii lagumagacaabay rajo soo celinta ee sannadkii 1993kii markaas oo Maamulkii Clinton uu ciidammadii Maraykanku ka saaray Soomaaliya, kadib weerarkii 18 Askari kaga dhinteen. Hase yeeshee, Mr. Charles Snyder, in Maraykanku mar kale degmadoodii indhaha ugu soo jeediyeen Soomaaliya waxase uu sheegay in aan Maraykanku marnaba noqonayn kuwa iyagu keenadda u haya arrimaha Soomalaiya. “Ma doonayno in aanu u noqono Darawalka Baska Wada, mana doonayno in aanu ku fadhiisano kursiga ugu dambeeya Baska, balse, waxa aanu rabnaa in aanu ku fadhiisano Kuraasta Safka Saddexaad ee Darawalka Dabaddiisa ah, sababta oo ah culays kale oo badan ayaa na saaran.” Waxase uu tilmaamay in Dowladda Talyaanigu ay aad u danaynayso in ay noqoto ta koowaad ee Arrimaah Shirka Soomaalida la wado Ambassador Kiplagat iyo weliba Dowladda Norway oo uu sheegay inay kharash aad u badan, ku bixisay shirkaa. Mr. Snyder oo la weydiiyay sida dowladiisu u aragto Arrimaha Argagixisada Soomaaliya, waxa uu yidhi; “Qaraxyadii ka dhacay Mombasa, iyo isku dayo kale oo weeraro dhawaan lala damacsanaa Safaarada (Nayroobi), ayaa keenay in aanu dib u cusboonaysiino Danayntayadii, waxa ka socda Soomaaliya iyo cidda wadda.” Ayuu raaciyay Mr. Snyder, waxa uu caddeeyey in Soomaaliya uu ka jiro Edeg firfircoon oo uu kuleeyahay Ururka Al-Qaacida. Taasoo aan dowladda Maraykanku ka indho qarsan Karin in ay noqoto Soomaaliya goob ay dib isugu abaabulaan, waxa uu ku tilmaamay Kooxo u riyaaqsan Dagaalo meelo kale ka socda. 3. Greenwich Girl, 15, is raped by asylum seeker By Court Reporter AN ASYLUM seeker who twice raped a 15-year old girl after offering to help her faces years behind bars before he is sent back to Somalia. Abdi Ali, 25, befriended the girl on a bus travelling from Woolwich, after she had rowed with her mother. When she confided to him about the argument, Ali lured her back to his friend's shared flat in Stepney, east London, promising she could stay the night. Isobel Ascherson, prosecuting, told Snaresbrook Crown Court how the girl slept one night in the flat undisturbed, but the next evening, April 23, 2002, she was left alone with Ali. Mrs Ascherson said: "She was asked by the defendant, 'Are you going to have sex with me?' which she said no to. "At that stage she started to complain she was sick and wanted and needed to leave." But she was pinned down and raped once by Ali, then again 10 minutes later. After her ordeal, Ali left the flat but his friend came into the flat and raped the distraught teenager after threatening her with a knife and hitting her. In a bid to escape, the terrified girl pretended she wanted to go with her attackers to a cafe they had mentioned. Eventually the girl was allowed out of the flat and travelled to the cafe where she told a customer what had happened and police were called. Ali, of Leven Road, Canning Town, was arrested and interviewed on July 1 but denied knowing the girl or raping her. When he was challenged with DNA evidence he claimed the sex had been consensual. He then admitted one charge of rape on the first day of his trial. Ali, who has a wife in Somalia, had been granted exceptional leave to remain in the UK for two years. The second man has never been traced. Last Tuesday, Judge Timothy King adjourned sentence until January 9 so that forms necessary to recommend his deportation after his jail term could be served. web page

As a matter of fact Lakkad's signature "BOLITIK WAA SIYAAD" is true for many somalis including me. Thew old cliché "politics is a dirty game" is a witness to how somalis debate issues. I agree with you discussing politics is contextual. But many of us don't live in the nation known as somalia anymore. We are confined to Ghettos in western europe, australia and north America- and it hurts to see many of our bright minds discuss "local" politics in somalia! Have a look at the dozen or so current threads on this board and you would discover that many of the contents lack the proper political ingredients! jaale bro we are what arabs say "Al jismu xaadir wal qalbu qaa'ib" we care our country too much and we follow its politics in very detail. its local somali politics that unite us not other countries politics although we live in different countries. i must agree with you though that we have to improve our political discussions and put forward solutions as well.

  7. why not? aren't civil war started because of injustic by the regime in mogadisho? without justice there won't be somalia again. after creating a new government in somalia then the process of justice will start. be no doubt about it one day we will have justice in this world before meeting our Allah for the best justice ever.
  8. jaale do you understand what politics means? its things we discuss here. and as they say all politics are local, well we somalis and our politics has elements of qabiil, warlordism, hatrat etc. if we avoid all those things then it becomes an artificial discussions that have no relevence whatsoever to our situation in somalia. atleast here we exchange views and enhance our knowledge of our people and our country. the more you use political section the more you understand the political issues of somalia and somali people. so don't be so negative and generalistic. some discussions are bit outdated but most of the topics are current and informative. to be honest with you this political section is my window of conprehensive somali information. i can only thank SOL for this site.

  10. this is the highligh of the interview Question: Your Excellency, What do you think is the root cause of the Somali problem? Hon. Ali A. Farah: The problem of Somalia is based in injustice and this is the area that needs to be addressed effectively. What happened in Somalia has to be a lesson and in addressing the injustice, the issue of inclusivity has to be given a critical and hard look. Question: The Somali conflict is said to have an external dimension. What is your take on this, especially as a neighbor? Hon. Ali A. Farah: The problem of Somalia is with the Somalis and blaming Ethiopia or Djibouti is pointless. If the Somalis come up with a vision and drive towards its achievement, then Djibouti, Kenya or Ethiopia will be in no position to stop them. Question: What is your advice to all actors, both domestic and external, in the talks? Hon. Ali A. Farah: For IGAD, we are committed to the talks, even though malicious information is being spread that Ethiopia and Djibouti are trying to derail the talks. Ethiopia and Djibouti want the best for Somalia, we share a long border with Somalia and our interest for a peaceful Somalia is obvious. The problem is with the Somali leaders who are protecting their short-term self-interest. I advise the Somali groups to change this and to show a commitment to regaining their dignity and they will be remembered in history for such positive actions. For the Diaspora, an overseas assignment or job, however prestigious, is not a long-term solution but the way forward lies in redirecting their skills and talent towards resolving Somalia’s conflict. The international community has to assume its responsibility and the driver seat needs to be taken by the UN. Somalia has been destroyed and the faction leaders have continued to exacerbate the situation. For this to be reversed, we ask for actions to be taken against them and have them brought to justice. Major Powers like the EU, the USA and others, have to assist in this - beginning with the peace process and the emergent structures, until Somalia assumes its seat in the international circle. 12. but we will not put up with it any longer and we are ready to defend ourselves at all costs is it worth to sacrify the peace and stability of somaliland which became the unique selling point of the somaliland government. you know the international media will only say "there is a civil war in somaliland.

  21. Gadiid I wonder sometimes when will Somalis know that a gabay is simply fadhi ku dirir of an eloquent person. fadhi ku dirir is just heated discussions full of nostalgic geographically limited but most of somali peoms travel far and fast. they also create disprate situation so their appeal is heard favourably.
  22. is this what somalis call "carab intuu ku nabuu nabiga kaaga hormaraa"
