Thank you all ,,, Yes the two deaf schools in Hargeisa and Borama are still operational and they provide good assistance to the deaf people. The Hargeisa Deaf School was provided a land by the governemnt and they're looking for funds so that they can build a school. They one they use now is a rented one. My organization supports the school and just last week we were discussion to have a sign language lessons to our staff so that we can communicate with the deaf people. The great project they implemented was to train the parents on the sign language so that it will be easy for them to communicate with their children. That is what i founda really great idea. I'm more interested into the integrated schools rather than special needs ones and i can't see how they can those special schools eliminate the stigma and discrimination. We're working on a Inclusive Education right now and if all goes well we will implement the project. It seems the Ministry of Education doesn't understand much abuout the issue since it is new to the country.

Las Anod(QARAN)- At least 40 former members of the Puntland militia who have deserted from their regional administration arrived in Las Anod accompanied by the Governor of Sool and senior officers of the Somaliland Defence Forces. These unarmed men, who had already surrendered their weapons to the Somaliland Defence Forces were debriefed at the regional offices in Las Anod, and expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome they had received upon their return. These are not the first ex-Puntland militia members who had decided to return and the last few months had seen a steady flow of returning residents of Sool formerly aligned with the Puntland militia. On the other hand there has been no movement in the Somaliland Defence Forces positions around the eastern borders of Somaliland. According to several senior officers, these positions are constantly being re-enforced and the intention of the Defence Forces are to hold and stabilise the area.

Hargeisa (QARAN)-The Somaliland government has issued the prohibition and burning of the false Somali currently entering the country illegally. The Somaliland minister for Civil Aviation, Mudane Ali Mohamed Waran'adde speaking at a press conference in Erigavo stated" The regional officers and members of the security forces have been given orders to halt and burn all the illegal currency coming into the country from across the eastern borders" The minister, Mudane Ali Mohamed who is acting as the spokesman for the Vice-President's delegation to Eastern Somaliland also stated "all transport used to smuggle false currency will be confiscated and those responsible will be brought to justice, the co-operation of the residents of this area is vital to securing our economy and stability" Mudane Ali Mohamed also stated " the Vice-President and his delegation have met with all levels of the regional government in Sanaag to discuss strengthening the security of the region, and we have all agreed that the business community in region can import goods into the local ports, tax-free" The Minister also praised the residents of Sool region for facilitating the introduction of the Somaliland schilling in the region, which is progressing very well. Responding to questions regarding the introduction of the Somaliland schilling in Sanaag and the alleged failure of the Civil Aviation ministry to resume operations at Erigavo airport, the minister stated "The Somaliland schilling is currently in use in Sanaag, and I assure you that my ministry will assume operation at the airport, and I have instructed my regional co-ordinator failure to do so will result in his dismissal" stated, Mudane Ali Mohamed Waran'Adde, the Civil Avaition minister.

Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed also stated "The recent visit of President Rayale to the United States of America has begun to bear fruit, the reciprocal visit by Dr. Jendayi Frazer, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, is but one of them. Dr.Frazer's call for investment in Somaliland to maintain and strengthen democracy, the economy and development are a source of satisfaction for the people of Somaliland, and a signal for the rest of the world to engage Somaliland" "The recent visit to the United Arab Emirates by the President marked a new chapter in Somaliland's engagement with our Arab brothers and sisters. The Foreign ministry has received an invitation from the Sudanese government which expect to lead to a visit by the President" added Mudane Abdillahi Duale. Continuing his statement to the House of Elders, Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed Duale, the Somaliland Foreign minister stated " I had the opportunity to meet with the Secretary-General of the Arab League to request a high level delegation to be sent to Somaliland, and this request was favourably received, and we remain hopeful that such a visit will take place" "The government of Somaliland has been in discussion with several Arab nations to permit the use of our passport, following the example of many other countries across the world, and we are confident of positive developments in this area" added the Somaliland Foreign minister, Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed Duale. Addressing the issue of the recent decision by the House of Elders regarding the extension of President Rayale mandate, Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed stated " The elections and the completion of the democratic process in Somaliland is something all of us are confident will take place. I believe the decision by the House of Elders is a constitutional decision which needs to be respected and adhered to" Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed, the Somaliland Foreign minister commented on the visit of a delegation from the European Union and stated " The Somaliland government has constantly assured the international community that the upcoming elections will be held, just like all previous elections had been held, sadly, the EU delegation appeared to have been influenced by those unable to wait a few more months for all logistical aspects to be completed, so I advise the parties and the elections commission to adhere to the recent decision regarding the elections, Somaliland doesn't need a political crisis, because the voters will have the last word and will decided who is fit to lead the country" concluded Mudane Abdillahi Mohamed Duale, the Somaliland Foreign minister. Also appearing before the House of Elders, Mudane Saeed Mohamed Nur, the minister of State at the Foreign Office, supported the decision of the House in extending the mandate of the President to allow for the completion of the voter registration process and stressed the commitment of the department in furthering the issue of Somaliland's recognition. Mudane Sheikh Ahmed Sheikh Nuh Furre, the current acting chair, thanked the Ministers for their presentation and statements. Of course it is clear the situation is out of hand and people are dying out there ,,,,, Suldaanka is right though , he wants to highlight how the ,, ehem ,, bugland cannot give any assistance to its supposedly people with all the claims that they control the area and that non-sense. But the question here is if building such schools are really a good idea. Establishing special needs schools can contribute to the already existing stigma where they will be seen out of the community. Making the existing schools accessible and promoting the Inclusive Education can be a good alternative where the students can sit side by side so as to reduce the stigma and discrimination.
