  1. Bismillah Salamu Calaykum Wa Raxmatullah May Allah show us all the right path and guide us all through our lives/aamiin To My brothers and sisters in Islam, who regard them selves as Muslims and attest the first pillar of Islam, do not praise men who have rejected faith, do not praise men who have rejected faith, indeed it is not fitting for a Muslim and a Muslimah to show affection and praise men who have preferred kufr. May Allah forgive us all for our sins/aamiin wa calaykum salam wa raxmatullah
  2. Bismillah Salamu Calaykum Wa Raxmatullah I think this topic is a waste of time, Insha Allah Ramadan is coming up, we should instead devout our time to fix our own selves and try to correct whatever it is we are lacking Islamically. Indeed being a woman is not easy; I used to think when my teacher told me, a woman will enter through any door in paradise if she obeys her husband, that to be the easiest thing on earth. But then I read a book called Sifahaat al zawjah saalixah (merits of a righteous wife). I realised it is not easy, and to be frank, life on earth is not meant to be easy, and our predecessors used to fear tribulation and punishment in the life to come if they were not going through hardships on earth, that obviously teaches us that we all should know this life is a test, and the graduator is the one who passes this test. So let us pass it, insha Allah. And to my sisters, indeed, having your man marrying another woman is not something painless to the heart or on the confidence, to save your self from that trouble marry a man because of his deen, base your relationship solely on deen and insha Allah things will work out fine. And taqwa is a provision we all should enlist and have. Taqwa is really the key ingredient to passing the test combined with sabr and thankfulness. And to my brothers, I advise you to be upfront and honest to your self. If you can handle marrying more than one wife, and being righteous towards them and dealing with them justly and rightly in regards of material matters and allocating time etc, than go ahead there are many sisters today, good sisters who needs to be married and who’s not married of several reasons. But if you know you can’t handle it don’t put your self in that situation, other wise you will be among those who are resurrected with half the body “paralysedâ€, on the judgement day and be severely punished. Carefully consider you are dealing with humans, and especially women who are mostly controlled by their feelings. May Allah subxanahu wa tacala, guide us all to righteousness and make us among those who have Taqwa and those who often turn to Him in tawbah/aamiin Wa calaykum salam
  3. May allah subhanahu wa tala, guide you to His straight Indeed Hidayah, comes from Allah, and he guides whom he pleases... I am sad on your behalf Callypso, indeed doubts is a human trait, and the best cure for that from islamic point of view, is to study the concept of God the monotheism of God. In that way you'll come to know who Allah is,and what he really wants from us as human beings. I remember how I was when i was 17, I couldn't understand the virtues of Qadar, I couldn't apply it to my life and accept it inside my heart. It lead me to doubt so intensly, I believe I thought I didn't belive there was a creator. But I remember even to this day, how my soul was hurting more of doubting God than being so confused and "turned off" on Qadar. But Allhamdulillah what I can say is that was 5 years ago and Allah guided me, and I pray that he never leaves me to my self even for a second. wa calaykum salam wa raxmatullah
  4. MONTH OF RAMADAN, ERUPTION UPON ERUPTION Sheikh 'Omar 'Abdur-Rahman (from behind prison bars) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alhamdulillah was Salatu was Salamu 'ala Rasoolillah O Youth of Islam in every corner of the earth, we are receiving the month of Ramadan. We are to receive wonderful nights and prosperous days, and we will encounter in it exuberant and dashing Iman, which fills the heart and outpours upon the limbs, and we will encounter taqwa of ALLAH: SO THAT YOU MAY ATTAIN TAQWA ; taqwa which is the sensitivity in the hairs and the alertness of the conscious. So fasting takes us to the ultimate grades of taqwa through zuhd (abstinence) and piety after we have reached, through the other ibadat, to the initial grades of taqwa through moderation and steadfastness. And when all the wajibat (obligations) have born fruit from taqwa: restraint from evil prohibitions, then taqwa itself bears fruit from fasting; broader and more encompassing, since it teaches us how to refrain from some halal and mubah (permissible) and from the necessities of life. Thus the beginning of purity is purity of the righteous ones by leaving off the prohibitions, and the conclusion of purity is purity of the excellent ones, by freeing one's self from luxurious ways and a life of enjoyment, until when tomorrow comes, he finds good fortune; the caller calls to the great sacrifice; that of jihad in the way of ALLAH, and we are there. We have made preparations for the matter since we have practiced patience and its hardship, and on that day we will be pleased with thirst, fatigue, and hunger in the sake of the wajib. And we will not be pleased to return to luxury, and enjoyment under humiliation and in the grip of the usurper. So if you fast, O Muslim youth, then you have trained in patience and have become accustomed to it. You have learnt not to degrade yourself for a morsel of life. And you are prepared at any time to suppress your stomach by leaving food in which there is humiliation and weakness. You train yourself upon dignity and strength, upon steadfastness and patience, so you are not humbled to creation whatever its location, and that a morsel of life does not affect your nobility and honor, and you do not bow your head because of it, for verily you only bow your head to One to whom faces are humbled: , AND FACES WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES BEFORE AL-HAYY (THE LIVING), AL-QAYYUM (THE ETERNAL), AND HE WHO BEARS WRONGDOING WILL INDEED BE A FAILURE. Fasting trains you to reduce your food as much as possible, and as long as that happens, it will affect your dignity and strength. Taqwa, taught to us through fasting, comprises firstly of restraint and dissolution, then secondly that of setting up and building. So the matter does not end with silencing the voice of desires; verily it is silencing the voice of desires whilst establishing the voice of truth and guidance. You must release your tongue with the word of truth and da'wah to constancy upon it, and you should raise your voice in forbidding the evil without shyness or fear. Do not be taken aback for the sake of ALLAH by the blame of those who blame, then the world will shake and the distant lands will tremble whilst you are speaking the truth and exposing the oppressor. Indeed the month of Ramadan will give you strength and steadfastness and will grant you a strong determination, a sure decision and relentlessness in speaking the truth. Indeed the fasting of Ramadan is eruption upon eruption; eruption from which you can take generosity, and kindness. The Messenger of ALLAH (SALLAHU 'alaihi wa sallam) was the most generous of men and was even more generous in Ramadan; you take du'a AND WHEN MY SLAVES ASK YOU CONCERNING ME, THEN INDEED I AM NEAR, I RESPOND TO THE DU'A OF THE SUPPLICATOR WHEN HE CALLS UPON ME ; you take from it rukoo', sujood, qiyam and activity: Whoever spent Ramadan with Iman and hoping for reward , is forgiven for his past sins. . You take from it i'tikaf in the last ten days; 'Aisha (Radi'ALLAHU 'anha) said: When he entered the last ten days of Ramadan, the Messenger of ALLAH (SALLAHU 'alaihi wa sallam) would tighten his izar (waist wrapper), spend the night in prayer, and waken his family. And the fasting of Ramadan is an eruption which trembles and shakes the thrones of oppression and tyranny, annihilates and erases the palaces of rebellion and rancor. Across the range of Islamic history, upheavals occurred in Ramadan and Jihad used to increase and multiply. In the heart of Islam, the day of Badr was in Ramadan, as well as the day of Conquest, during it were heard words of upheaval and strength, and disassociation from weakness, cowardice, and lassitude; such was Miqdad bin 'Amro from the companions of the Messenger of ALLAH (SALLAHU 'alaihi wa sallam), saying words which were ringing out in the world: Continue O Messenger of ALLAH for what you will, for we are with you. By ALLAH we will not say to you as the Bani Israeel said to Musa: 'Go you and your Lord and fight, we will sit here’, but we say ' Go you and your Lord and fight and indeed we will fight along with you, we will fight on your right and on your left, in front of you and from behind you. By the One in whose Hand is my soul, if you were to take usto Bark Al-Ghamad we will still fight resolutely with you against its defenders until you gained it. The Messenger of ALLAH (SALLAHU 'alaihi wa sallam) became pleased and made a du'a for him for good, then he (SALLAHU 'alaihi wa sallam) said: Advise me O people by which he meant the Ansar. Then Sa'd bin Muadh said: By ALLAH, I feel you want us to speak ? , he said Oh yes. . So Sa'd bin Muadh said: O Messenger of ALLAH we have believed in you and have attested to you, and we have born witness that what you have brought us is the truth, and for that we have given you our pledge and covenant for patience and obedience to you. So proceed O Messenger of ALLAH where you will, for by the One in whose Hand my soul is , if you were to ask us to plunge ourselves into the sea, we will do that most readily, and not one man from us will stay behind. We are experienced in war and are trustworthy in combat. We hope that ALLAH will show you through our hands those deeds of velour which will please your eyes. Lead us to the battlefield with the blessing of ALLAH. Cut ties with who you wish, join ties with who you wish, make peace with who you wish, show enmity to who you wish, take from our wealth what you wish, and present us with what you wish, and that which you take from us is more beloved to us than that which you have presented us with. These words of truth were heard by the world and by history during Ramadan. Similarly we heard the speech of our Noble Messenger SALLAHU 'alaihi wa sallam in Ramadan on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, a day he entered triumphant, victorious and came the Victory of ALLAH and the Conquest. He said to the people of Makkah whilst they were sitting beside the Masjid al Haraam: There is no deity but ALLAH, the One, who was True to His promise, gave victory to His slave, and defeated the confederates on His own. O people of Makkah, what do you think I am to do with you? , they said, good, a noble brother, son of a noble brother. He said: Go for you are all free. And whilst Ramadan is eruption upon eruption, then indeed Ramadan is also a fire and a light- fire which rages in the hearts of the enemies and inflames and ignites them; and a light which penetrates the hearts of the awliyaa (allies of ALLAH) gently rocks their souls, anoints their limbs, illuminates their path and implants in them determination, zeal, and power. So O Muslim youth in every corner of the earth, rush to it with a tremendous, strong and thundering eruption INTIMIDATE WITH IT THE ENEMIES OF ALLAH AND YOUR ENEMY, AND OTHERS BESIDES WHOM YOU MAY NOT KNOW, BUT ALLAH DOES KNOW. Chase from behind them with strength and force so that they may remember; announce the Islamic Jihad in every land of Jihad, and multiply the effort; ask for ALLAH to shower His mercy, and He will bring you His help and send with you forces you do not see. O Muslim Youth, in every place, you must move, expend blood and sweat, work night and day in the way of ALLAH and to make high His Word. Eliminate the thrones of the kings and leaders, those who see the wealth of the Muslims and their lands as permissible and its squandering inherited; the kings and leaders for whom it is not matter to gather the wealth, power and authority in their hands. Eliminate these thrones of falsehood, causing the truth to triumph, and bringing the falsehood to nothing. THAT HE MIGHT CAUSE THE TRUTH TO TRIUMPH AND BRING FALSEHOOD TO NOTHING, EVEN THOUGH THE CRIMINALS MAY HATE IT. Erupt upon the people of oppression and tyranny, remove them from the surface of the earth, and bury them in its depths. Cleanse the life from this impurity and filth, those who make people taste distress, and cram the Muslim youth into prison camps. So it is upon you, O youth of Islam, that you should wake up, and rouse from your heedlessness, for the period of sleep is over. Truly the period for sleep is over, and the time for Jihad and fighting has started; sacrifice, generosity and Jihad in the way of ALLAH. Proceed with the blessings of ALLAH: you will be guarded by the care of ALLAH, and His attention, and ALLAH will send down upon you his succour.
  5. Bismillah Salamu calaykum Why do you need to prove to the world anything? Manny have left the sunnah of our prophet (sallahu alehi wa salam) and the muslim countries are not exceptions, rather we should start with our self if we want some changes. Try to implement the shariah and sunnah in your self, and in your household, you family and relatives etc before taking upon you self to change the world. My personal view( don't jump on me for saying it, it does not have to be a fact) is that, the reason why so many Muslim countries don't give the woman her fundamental rights could also depend on her not knowing what her right is. Many women don't look for knowledge they are rather pleased with listening to he said so, and she said so. Insha Allah we as women of this ummah, the majority of this ummah, need to go back to Al Rahmans book and learn and adhere to it. wa calaykum salam

  7. Bismillah Salamu Calaykum I just checked the site again, and it is another man reciting . All I know from the previous one is that he recited surah al Qalam. wa calaykum salam
  8. Bismillah Salamu calaykum My brother Mutakalim, the site you posted http://www.qquran.org/ I would like to know who the recitor on the first page is? Subhana Allah the way he recites it's amazing you really feel it. It moved my heart completely really. I would appreciate if you could tell me who he is. Baraka Allah Fik wa calaykum salam

  10. Bismillah Salamu Calaykum wa Raxmatullah Wa Barakatu Know my brothers and sisters, if you say something to be halal which Allah Azza Wa Jal has made haram for you, you have indeed erred and commited KUFR. Insha Allah Be careful, know that legislation is only for Allah, and the Muslim is the one who Obeys Allah, and abstains from that which He forbid and enjoys that which he made halal. A muslim can’t pick and choose from this deen, you either take it wholly our leave it, don’t be like the jews or the Christians. Indeed it is those who are without knowledge of this deen, that utter thing that goes against this true deen. I would advise my brothers and sisters, starting with my self, know that knowledge comes before speech, so learn your deen in order to avoid committing shirk, kufr and etc, and to command the macruf and forbid munkar, and really fear Allah, because every soul shall taste death, and with death comes the reckoning every soul shall receive what ever they have earned of good or bad deeds. May Allah subhanahu wa tacala make us amongst those who have knowledge of this deen, and act according with its teachings/ aamiin
  11. Bismi Allah Salamu Calaykum Wa Raxmatullah Wa Barakatu One thing I would like to say to those who's trying to become better muslims including my self, is I would advise you to use your time before you get busy, and use your youth before you reach old age... Wallahi it is not good for a believer to delay a good action for tomorrow when he/she can do it today. You never know when your time is due, our salaf during zuhur time didn't even consider they would live when it was time for casr. When you remind your self about your own mortality and that you don't know anything about your time of death, it would really cause you to use your time and make the best of it by dedicating it to true cibaadah. Just look at our salafs The salaf were people who were sincere in all of their actions. If they were to eat, it was to gain energy to worship Allah. If they were to visit a friend or family member, it was to strengthen the bonds of relationship as Allah had ordered them to. If they were to joke and jest, it was to give the heart and soul some relief so that it could strive even harder. And even if they were to debate amongst one another it would be for the sake of the truth being reached, not for the sake of putting the other down and claiming victory over them. Just look at how they lived, their entire life was Islam and Cibaadah. May Allah make us amongst his rightouse servants, May Allah help the muslims where ever they are /aamiin

Bismillah Salamu Calaykum wa Raxmatullah ................................................. “O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa’ (friends, protectors, helpers), they are but Awliyaa’ of each other. And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allaah guides not those people who are the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust)†[al-Maa’idah 5:51] “You see many of them taking the disbelievers as their Awliyaa’ (protectors and helpers). Evil indeed is that which their ownselves have sent forward before them; for that (reason) Allaah’s Wrath fell upon them, and in torment they will abide. 81. And had they believed in Allaah, and in the Prophet (Muhammad) and in what has been revealed to him, never would they have taken them (the disbelievers) as Awliyaa’ (protectors and helpers); but many of them are the Faasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allaah)†[al-Maa’idah 5:80-81] “O you who believe! Take not as friends the people who incurred the Wrath of Allaah (i.e. the Jews). Surely, they have despaired of (receiving any good in) the Hereafter, just as the disbelievers have despaired of those (buried) in graves (that they will not be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection)†[al-Mumtahanah 60:13] “Let not the believers take the disbelievers as Awliyaa’ (supporters, helpers) instead of the believers, and whoever does that, will never be helped by Allaah in any way, except if you indeed fear a danger from them†[Aal ‘Imraan 3:28] “Indeed there has been an excellent example for you in Ibraaheem (Abraham) and those with him, when they said to their people: ‘Verily, we are free from you and whatever you worship besides Allaah, we have rejected you, and there has started between us and you, hostility and hatred for ever until you believe in Allaah Alone’†[al-Mumtahanah 60:4] “You (O Muhammad) will not find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred (people). For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with Rooh (proofs, light and true guidance) from Himself†[al-Mujaadilah 58:22] “O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists) as friends, showing affection towards them, while they have disbelieved in what has come to you of the truth†[al-Mumtahanah 60:1] ................................................. Allah Azza Wa Jal has already said what we can and we can't, and the muslim is the one who hears and obey. wa calaykum salam wa raxmatullah
  13. Salamu alaykum Sister Ameen to your duah, I must say your idea is very romantic you are calling for the assistance and support of the Mujahedeen yet we do not who these mujahideen your refering to are. perhaps your refering to Alqaida. Bismillah Wa Calaykum Salam wa Raxmatullah I have stopped entertaining any romantical thoughtsof this world, I guess it's part of becoming an adult . But I can see where you are heading, my brother, with your question, Allahu al Mustacaan, but khair insha Allah
  14. Bismillah Salamu Calaykum Wa Raxmatullah Wa Barakatu Insha Allah Khair, was never my intention to turn this topic into an Al Qaida thread. Allah is sufficient for the mujahideen, and May Allah aid them and not against them, May Allah plot for them and not against them, May Allah preserve them on the straight path, aid them on this path, and take them as shuhada while defending this path/ aamiinn
  15. Bismillah Salamu Calaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatu Since this is not math or logic debate, I can't give you a 'prove', I can only provide evidence/s. Insha Allah, I asked for evidence/s Muslims were never united as a single Ummah, if they did can you point out under which caliphate? When I look Islamic history, I see muslim fighting muslims were as frequent and common as muslims fighting non-muslims. Right after the prophets (pbuh) death, half of his closest and most trusted campanions were killed by other muslims. Arab tribes who prior to the prophet's (scw) death fully embraced islam, revolted and had to be crushed, violently, by Abu Bakr. From Abu Bakr to crusaders time to today, we muslims have been our biggest enemy. Without a doubt one cannot argue about the ummah being one when the prophet (sallahu alehi wa salam) was among them. But after his death many was stunned and the news of his death seemed something far fetched to many, even Umar farooq ( the living shaheed) couldn’t belive it, he told the people if anyone told him that the prophet ( sallahi alehi wa salam) was dead he would kill them. That was something extraordinary, indeed, the people never could imagine that the noble prophet would leave and depart from them, many thought he would outlive them all. Definitely it left them all in a state of worry and confusion, yet that was not something long lasting. The Helpers met with the helpers and discussed the Khalif issue, and so did the Emigrants, and they all, came to the conclusion that the Sadeeq was the one most appropriate to be their leader, and they all came to give him their pledges. And indeed the ummah was for this choice, but you know there’s always place for munafiqeen so let us not discuss them. But what happened during his caliphate? Firstly he carried out the prophets last command, which was: the army of the young Usama bin Zayd should go to Syria the reason can insha Allah be read in the sira. There is no reason for me to go into details about that expedition, I’m just merely pointing what abu bakr did at first hand during his caliphate. You mentioned above that Abu Bakr, had to suppress the arab tribes who revolted. One must ask one self why this happened. Those arab tribes you are talking about are Bani Asad; Bani Tha'lba; Bani Ghatafan; Banu Marrah Banu Abbas; Banu Dhanayan and others. They during the battle of the trench sided with the quraish and fought against the Muslims. They came to give their pledges when the prophet (sallahu alehi wa salam) conquered Makkah, and this was an act of diplomacy and not on the basis of faith as one can see in their actions. It was expected that they would renegate against islam after the death of the leader and prophet (sallahi alehi wa salam) of the muslims. They honoured their pledges and agreements as long as the prophet (sallahi alehi wa salam) was amongst them, but as soon as he departed from the world. The wanted to renew their agreements, by forgoing to pay zakaat and they would be on friendly terms with the people of madiina. Abu Bakr ( radia Allah anh) remembered how the prophet (sallahu alehi wa salam) dealt with the people of Taif on their request to be relieved of the obligation to offer prayers. How the noble messenger (sallahu alehi wa salam) refused to accept their demands on the basis that he was in no position to modify the command of Allah, as salah being one of the pillars of islam. And Abu Bakr considered the Zakat being a very important command ordained by Islam, and was equated with prayers. Abu Bakr's judgment, therefore, was that under the circumstances he had no option but to refuse the demand of the tribes. It was on these grounds Abu Bakr refused their demand, and it was due to this the tribes waged war on the Islamic state in medina. They could not stand to pay zakat to medina, and very carelessly left the fold of Islam. There for my brother to say Abu Bakr waged war on the muslims on the basis that they only revolted is not correct, as he fought apostates. They turned to disbelieve after having believed, by not respecting the demands of Allah and Allah is pleased with Abu Bakr Sadeeq. What does this tell us? That we muslims are more violent towards each other than others? I argue not. It only shows that we are humans like all other humans. We'll kill, hate, discriminate and indulge in intercine conflicts. To think that we'll somehow live peacefully and happily one day as united nation is wishful thinking. There is nothing from recent or distant history that gives us any confidence to hold such vision. My brother with all due respect, I don’t know in which history books you read the history of the Muslims. For what I have read and what you are stating are not matching up. Our ummah was one during the time of the 3 calips, things started to go wrong during the time of the third Khalif, and fitnah started for the muslims at that time. Even though there have been disagreements during those Caliphs era, the people was goverened and ruled by one leader and their affair was in his hands. It is not my brother wishful thinking, its is part of our faith, and part of our belief in the signs prior to the Judgement day i.e. in the coming of Mahdi and Isa (alahi salam). We all should know that, we Insha Allah will be one ummah once again according to the sayings of our prophet (sallahi alehi wa salam). That is simplistic thinking. If what you list are reasons for muslim problems, then why haven't 1.5 billion muslims figure out how to solve them? Islamic world's decline has been proceeding for a long time now, several centuries at least. The answer is very simple my brother, not many really want to return to the sunnah of our messenger, many have innovated in this deen of ours, and many is contented with those innovations even though the proof stands firm against them. It is due to these deviations from the right path, Muslims today are in a position of humiliation. There is a hadith which is of this point In the hadeeth of Hudayfah (ra) in which he said: "The people used to ask the Messenger of Allah (saw) about the good, and I used to ask him about the evil out of fear that it would reach me. So I asked the Messenger of Allah: "O Messenger of Allah, we were living in ignorance and evil, then Allah brought this good to us. So will there be any evil after this good?" He replied: "Yes." I then asked: "Will there be any good after this evil?" He replied: "Yes, but it will be tainted." So I asked: "What will be its taint?" He replied: "A people who guide others to other than my way, you will approve of some of their actions and disapprove of others." I further enquired: "Then is there any evil after this good?" He said: "Yes! Callers at the gates of Hell - whoever responds to their call, they will be thrown into the fire." I then said: " O Messenger of Allah! Describe them to us." He said: "They will be from our people and speak our language." I asked: "So what do you order me to do if that reaches me?" He said: "Stick to the Jamaa'ah (the united body) of the Muslims and their Imam (ruler)." I further asked: "What if they have neither jamaa'ah or an Imam?" He said: "Then keep away from all those sects, even if you have to bite upon the roots of a tree, until death reaches you whilst you are in that state." [9] Which mujahideens? There are hundreds of them today, fighting all over the world. Personally, I'm against violence unless used as last resort. It usually doesn't solve your problems only compounds them and possibly create more enemies and newer sets of problems. Hundred of them are very little indeed; Muslims are around 1.5 billion, to have only hundred of mujahideen is really a shame on the rest of the Muslim population. Last resort? Muslim blood is spilled everywhere, should you not think this time is the time for action on our behalf? And I certainly wouldn't raise any sword to 'eliminate' any kufrs and 'hypocracy'. Instead of eliminating, we should be building bridges, making friends and showing tolerance and civility towards the rest of the planet's inhabitants. Afterall, we are MINORITY. We must cleanse our hearts from all hatred. It is not on the basis of hatred the sword must be raised my brother, I never said that. I am only saying when muslims leave their obligation in jihad they shall suffer humiliation. Jihad is one of the highest levels in worship, and Jihad was legislated to keep the religion of Allah free from errors and to safe guard it. But today there is no jihad, and there is no safe guarding of Islam, today everyone can have a bite of this religion without being reprimanded. And today everyone can oppress and kill the Muslims without being stopped. What do you mean by hypocracy? Hypocracy is human trait, you can never 'eliminate' it. It will be with us as long as we are here in this world. With hypocracy in this regard I meant, the so called muslim leaders who side up with the kuffars and who sell their religion for worldly matters and who support kuffar against their brothers. I meant them. If I have said something wrong insha Allah, I would want you my brothers and sisters in Islam to correct me. Surely this deen of ours is nasiixa and a muslim is another muslims mirror. wa calaykum salam wa raxmatullah wa barakatu
  16. Bismill Allah Salamu Calaykum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatu My brother, I would like you to give the evidences for your claim that the muslims have never been one ummah, even at its earliest stages. Indeed after the death of our noble prophet (sallahu caleyhi wa salam) our noble predecceors the sahabas amongst them was Ubaydala Al Jarrah and Omar bin Khattab, they gathered around one leader and the pledges to support this companion chosen as Khalif was made. It was during this time that apostacy increased, the famous dajjal Musaylamah claiming to be a prophet, the diffrent groups who abstained from paying zakah, the pre opening of bysantine etc. He Abu bakr ( radi Allah canh) dealt with the numerous problem that the ummah faced the little period of time he was in power before his death Radia Allah canh. Even after his death the succesor Umar Bin Khattab another noble companion, reigned with justice and equality and indeed the ummah was one apart from the munafiqeen and in my opinion they can never be among the ummah of Muhammad (sallahi alehi wa salam) and Allah knows best. Much can be said about the four khalifs and the state of the ummah, yet during the first 2 caliphs the ummah was indeed as one. But diffrences araised during the time of the third khalip Uthamn bin Caffan and the fourth Ali bin abi Talib, Radiallah canhuma. But indeed their difrences was never about aqeedah, and much of the problems could be solved, and at that time the hadiths that we have today was not availabe for the vast majority of the ummah, due to the diffrent narrators being far away from Medinah and etc. But what we have today amongst us is lack of proper Aqeedah, you will see today in the majority of the muslim countries people who worship graves, awliyas, support the kuffars, ruling with man made laws etc. It is due to these problems that our ummah today are in a state of weakness and humiliation. But Allxamdulillah, Allah has raised amongst us, people who are pious and who love Allah and his messenger, they are the mujahideen. They are indeed few, but insha Allah, their hearts are filled with Imaan, and how many times have small armies but with believing men win over a supremacy of kufr. Indeed Allah is with them. What we should do, is not to sit around and wait for a change, indeed Allah Azza Wa Jal does not change the state of the ummah unless they change what is in their hearts. We should all ask our self what have I done for the best of this ummah, and what can I do. May Allah forgive me if anything that I have said is wrong, and if I have said anything wrong above correct me brothers and sisters in islam. Indeed a muslim is another muslims mirror. Once again I would like to emphasise the importance and value of the ansar al muslimeen, our noble mujahideen of today, aid them any way you can, with your wealth, your self, or use your tongue propagate for their cause indeed it is for this ummah they bleed. And blood is a must in this case, just look at the history of Islam. The sword must be raised in order to eliminate kufr and hypocricy. Wa calaykum salam wa raxmatullah wa barakatu

    If

Bismillah Salamu Aleikum, Kruella your answer made me come to think of an article I read almost a year ago, and I thought perhaps it would be of benefit for all of you to read it, because of the good lessons to take from it. A brother wrote it and had it posted on the old forum of muslimcreed.com All praise is for Allaah, and may peace and blessings be upon our Prophet. I was reading Madaarij as-Saalikeen by al-Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim (Rahimahullaah) – a book full of benefit – some points I decided to note and summarize, due to their value. Of course, these are not Ibnul-Qayyim’s words, rather they are my attempt at summarizing different benefits gathered from the book in my language with some of my own thoughts and reflections (not from the book). Love of Allaah: I will not dare to attempt to define love, for as Ibnul-Qayyim said, it’s a word that’s impossible to define. It’s meaning is clear and obvious enough. If one cannot understand the meaning of the word, then insanity is feared. We live in an era whose materialism has killed hearts and darkened souls… a moderny-day Jaahileeyah that calls to enjoyments of only the self and body… most people are not able to escape the destructive influences of this gross innovated onslaught of Shaytaan. One of the effects of this onslaught on the heart is it hardens them like rock, dries them like a drought, freezes them like icicles, and kills them until they appear like dead, decapitated, mutilated, and rotting corpses. May Allaah Protect us from this evil. The hearts are left with emotions and feeling that are dry. So that love becomes a statement, rather than an action and motion. You see many people, they love their family and friends, not because of the bonds between them of mercy and affection, but rather for the worldly benefits they attain from them. So if a child dies, the eyes might shed tears (if they even do), but the cause of the tears is not mercy, rather sadness over the loss of the expected gain from the child. Some find tremendous difficulty in expressing their emotions to their parents or relatives. There are many examples of this hardness. If one were to reflect on the condition of today’s people, you’d see those with warm hearts are strangers amongst the rest. The greatest tragedy, though, is that this dryness and coldness has even affected the love the slave has for his Lord, Allaah (Jalla Fee ‘Ulaah). Their act and motion of love is dry. Its as if it’s just a statement, rather than a motion of the heart. The heart is merely acknowledging the obligation of love, rather than feeling that love for its Lord. This is likely the result of the Jaahilee onslaught against the hearts and souls. So love has become more of a dead feeling. What is worsening this situation is the methodology that some parties and sects use when calling people to Allaah. They focus purely on what is referred to as “rationalism†and “intellect.†It is true, there is no contradiction between the authentic Islaamic texts and beliefs, and between sound rational and intellect. The problem though is to distract the slaves with rational and intellectual proofs for the obvious (such as the existence of the Creator, His Perfection, Lordship), and abstaining from trying to heal their sick hearts. So instead of reminding them of Allaah’s Beautiful Names and Lofty Attributes, they remind them of the fact that the creation cannot exist without a Creator, the scientific proofs of the authenticity of the Qur’aan, etc. Of course, these things are good, but to make them the major focus of a group’s call, that is what is being criticized. This has left an effect on the hearts, almost similar to that of the Jahmeeyah, who said that the slave can not love his Lord, and that Allaah does not love His slaves. Rather they falsely interpreted the slave’s loving of his Lord as his loving from Allaah to reward him, and Allaah’s love of His slaves as his desire to reward them (not love). This was due to their disgusting philosophies that in reality destroyed the servitude of the slave, since the basis of worship is love and humility. If there is no love, then where is the worship? They have contradicted many of the texts of the Qur’aan and Sunnah with these gross philosophies, that led to them denying one of the loftiest Attributes of Allaah, His Love for His pious slaves. As for refuting them, that is not the purpose of this short piece. Love, like we said, cannot be defined. It is not just a statement. “I love Allaah.†It is an action and motion of the heart. It has real effects and results on the person’s actions, even on his heart itself. For example, a sound person, whose heart is not dead, he loves his parents. Is that a statement of his heart? “I love my parents.†Or is that a warm action and motion, that one can feel as it moves in his heart? Is that action and motion due to purely intellectual and dry rationalism, or is it due to more than that? The fact that his parents did much good for him, and he feels grateful and thankful due to that? If his parents are described with good characteristics, this is also a force in his love. As for the Creator, Allaah, the love of Him enters the heart due to two primary causes. Either because the slave realizes the blessings and bounties of his Lord upon himself, so he loves his Lord, Allaah, and the more he reflects over these bounties, his love increases and increases. Or the overall driving force in his love is his hearts realization of Allaah’s Good Names and Lofty Attributes, knowing that his Lord is perfect. So it causes a strong attachment for his Lord. This love is loftier than the first, because it is related to Allaah’s Self and Attributes, whereas the prior love is related to the good the slave receives. But both loves are real love, with real motion, not dry and hard. So worship that is done out of love of Allaah, wanting Allaah’s Pleasure, Face, Closeness, etc. is loftier than worship whose overall push is the want of created things in the Jannah, such as the food, clothes, wives, etc. Although the latter intention is also a valid one. This is for the same reason, the first drive is attached to Allaah’s Self and Attributes, whereas the latter is attached to other than that. Some people will quote the Prophet (Sall Allaahu ‘Alayhi wa ‘Alaa Aalihee wa Sallam) asking for the Jannah. They don’t realize that Jannah includes all delights of the Afterlife. Part of this is to see Allaah’s Face, receive His Pleasure. Since this occurs for the slave in Jannah. In the end, I hope I have clarified that this love for one’s Lord should not be dry and motionless. Rather it is a real motion, that leads to greater motions, such as the slave’s longing to meet his Lord. Like in the authentic supplication, “I ask You the delight of looking at Your Face and the longing to meet You.†Try to judge your own love of Allaah, and reform it. Reflections Over Events in the Dunyaa: Many times we hear statements of the Prophet (Sall Allaahu ‘Alayhi wa ‘Alaa Aalihee wa Sallam) but we are not able to appreciate their realities, or grasp them. For example, how many times have we heard the Hadeeth that a person with all the worst hardships will be dipped once into Jannah, and be asked “have you ever felt any hardship?†And he will respond, “No, I have never experienced any hardships.†And vice-versa, a person with the greatest worldly bounties, will be dipped once in Hellfire, and be asked if he experienced any good. He will respond by saying no. Have you ever reflected over the realities of these meanings? If you felt it, what a great bounty that is for you, O slave of Allaah! For sure, you may have yourself went through tremendous hardships in your life, or known someone else who has. Either he was afflicted with depression, anxiety, bad events, etc. Then something occurred in his life that was able to almost cancel out that hardship! Like marriage, for example. So you see this same person, almost free of those thoughts, free of those hardships, if they exist in reality, then for him they are non-existent in comparison to the delight he receives from this event, like marriage. His love for his spouse and her love back for him, converts his hardships into happiness. He might talk to her about them, as if they are jokes to laugh at, although when he was experiencing them, he would have never imagined to laugh at them, rather he wept due to them. And to clarify the opposite, imagine this person that he loves betrays him? She hurts him, in some way that he least expects. She leaves him to suffer on his own. Do you realize that each memory he had of her, such as her kindness to him, her smiles, etc. will be turned into sorrow and sadness? Every time he remembers those good thoughts, he only increases in sadness? Although when he experienced them they were from the highest degrees of happiness attainable in his heart? This is in the Dunyaa, now think of what is possible for the Afterlife! Don’t rush to deny this, for it is true. As in the Saheeh Hadeeth, when the people of the Jannah look at Allaah, they do not turn to anything else of the blessings they have, until it is over (since they look at Him when He Allows them). So all the food, treats, beauty, wives, etc. are forgotten when they see their Lord. So if this is true regarding the greatest goods that they obtain – they are almost non-existent in comparison to the bounty of looking at their Lord -- what of everything else? Worshippers and their types: Ibnul-Qayyim discusses that people of worship are four categories regarding their outlook towards worship: Those who focus on worships that are hardest on the self. So they always look for acts of worship that cause the most amount of hardships, pains and difficulties, so that they can rush to carry them out. Since they believe that the harder the act, the more its value is in the scales of the Lord. The second group is those who focus on solitude, ignoring this low worldly life, reducing its importance, not giving it attention, etc. So they give priority to deeds that are of this nature, over other deeds, for they see that the farther they are from this Dunyaa, the closer they will be to their Lord in the Afterlife. The third group: those who focus on deeds that benefit others in addition to themselves. They say that the deed is more valuable, when its benefits surpass themselves. Examples of such deeds include spreading knowledge, helping the sick and poor, caring for orphans, commanding the good, forbidding evil, etc. The fourth group: those who work to please Allaah in every time according to the implications and job of that time. So if it is time for prayer, they go do Wudoo’, approach the Masjid, and pray in Jamaa’ah. If it is time for Hajj, they do Hajj. If it is the last third of the night, they busy themselves in night prayer. If the enemy is attacking, they busy themselves in repelling his aggression. So they busy themselves with what is most appropriate for that time. Ibnul-Qayyim then goes on to say, that the first three groups are ones whose servitude is limited. The last group’s servitude is complete. They are the best group, since they worship Allaah in every type of worship when it is most fit to do that worship. They do not restrict themselves to one type of worship over others. Rather they share with all the other groups in their deeds, when its time is most appropriate. They have used their time most efficiently. He says about them, in a later section of his book, that they do not name themselves or ascribe themselves to anything other than the Sunnah. They don’t have a specific act of worship with which they differentiate themselves by with others. If you were to ask them, whose your Imaam? They’d respond the Messenger. What’s your Tareeqah (Usually a Sufi term meaning path)? Following the Messenger. What’s your Madhhab (school of thought)? The Sunnah. What’s your uniform? Clothes of Taqwaa. So, I wanted to clarify, to my brothers, that when many of us use the term “Salafee Jihaadee,†its meant more as a clarification regarding our positions towards the Taaghoot rulers and their allies, as well as our position towards Jihaad in our times. It is not proper to use the term in a sense that leads to partisanship, sectarianism, or as a full replacement for the terms Muslims, Mu’mins, ‘Ibaad-Allaah (Allaah’s slaves), or Ahlus-Sunnah. Nor does it mean that we should make the only worship of our concern Jihaad, since this will lead to horrible consequences. Many Muslims are excused from Jihaad, such as women, children, the handicapped, etc. Or some are in situations that they cannot participate, due to lack of means to travel, or due to responsibilities that one is prohibited from giving up, such as a person who’s parents are elderly and in definite need of his services, in such a sense that they’d die or some great harm would befall them, if he didn’t serve them physically (or financially, if they are poor). So if these types are only addressed with “Jihaad is Fard ‘Ayn,†how will that benefit them? Their personal practice of the religion will be all theory rather than practical reality. They may cut down in fulfilling other good deeds, or be lax in their attention and concern towards their sins, thinking that their love for Jihaad is sufficient to save them. So it is a birth of a new form of Irjaa’. As if: “No sin can harm one’s Eemaan as long as he loves Jihaad!†Allaahul Musta’aan. This person has a Jihaad that is also obligatory upon him in all cases, the Jihaad against his self and against the most evil Taaghoot, Shaytaan. These enemies don’t depart them, until his soul departs his body. So let him use his time wisely and worship his Lord properly. Let him also prepare what he can of strength and means to weaken the Shaytaan and the evils of his self. Living Dreams not Reality: I am sad to say, that many of the youth, live a dream world… we’ll call it the online world. Their effort is only an online practice, that doesn’t stretch out towards reality. Allaahul Musta’aan. I don’t mean to accuse anyone in particular, but look at how many speak about the obligations upon this nation, such as the obligation of manifesting and publicizing one’s hatred and enmity towards the Kuffaar with one’s pen and tongue (for example). Like Hamad bin ‘Ateeq an-Najdee said (paraphrasing) this is done by making known one’s position towards the specific Kufr of the Kuffaar of his locality, for which they are most infamous for. For example, if the people of his locality worship idols, then he manifests hatred of them making it clear that it is due to their idol worship. If they leave the Salaah, the same. If they practice democracy, the same. If their Kufr is in believing in the trinity, he manifests his hatred of this false belief and of them due to their false beliefs. This is one example of an obligation that is discussed online a lot by the youth. It is a real obligation, that we all are lax in implementing and sin due to that laxity. Yet, many come online to manifest this hatred amongst the Muslims. I mean, for example, coming online to a Muslim discussion forum to declare that one hates the Kuffaar. Although there is nothing wrong with that, why is the manifestation restricted to online? Why not in real life? Why not towards the Kuffaar themselves, like is obligatory, rather than just alerting the Muslims who have your own beliefs? I think the problem is related to lack of group work. I mean many people are afraid of Da’wah, commanding the good, forbidding the evil, etc., because it leads to conflict with others. They don’t feel like they have backing and support when they wish to implement this. So rather than working on forming a group that can unite for Da’wah and declaring Baraa’ah, they come online to escape reality and the state of the Ummah. A solution to that problem, I believe, is firstly in avoiding any jobs or situations that give position to a Kaafir over one’s self. The Salaf disliked working as employees for the Kuffaar. Of course, in our times, this is very difficult, but with effort one can obtain it. Here is a scenario, imagine working for a Kaafir boss. So after giving him Da’wah (that’s if he allows it, cause many of them will say none of this talk at the workplace), you decide to let him know you hate him due to his specific Kufr. I’m sure the situation will be very unique. This is one issue. The second part is unifying as a group for the purpose of Da’wah, commanding the good, forbidding the evil, declaring one’s Baraa’ah from the Kuffaar with speech and writings. This is because when one feels he has brothers on the same path, he is willing to deal with the hardships that result from opposing the people in what they are used to. These are some suggestions. So if the youth in a locality get together, for example, to command the good and forbid the evil as a group in a local Masjid, they will feel stronger and more at ease in doing that activity. Or printing out very short Da’wah pamphlets that focus on the fundamentals of Islaam and are free from the spirit of the deafitist-mentality. Or pamphlets refuting and denouncing the specific Kufr of these people. Or occasionally (after giving Da’wah) printing out pamphlets titled, “Why do we hate you.†Also, to keep their Eemeen and spirit alive, they can get together as a group, regularly, with a constant leader, to learn, or study, or read the Qur’aan and reflect. It is also important, for those youths who aren’t married and still live with their parents and siblings, to focus on those close to him. How can one come online for Da’wah, but forget those closest to him? Didn’t Allaah Command us to fight the closer enemy? Similarly in Da’wah, one is more responsible for those closer to him than those distant from him. Allaah Knows best.
  19. Bismillah, Salamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barkatu, Sheikh Ibn Baz stated (Al-Fatawa 1/274): "There is a consensus amongst the scholars that whoever supports the disbelievers against the believers (Dhahar Al-Kuffar 'Ala Al-Muslimeen), and assists them by any means of assistance, then he is a disbeliever just like them (the disbelievers he supported)…" Saudi Arabia's help during war was more extensive, officials say By Associated Press Published April 25, 2004 WASHINGTON - During the Iraq war, Saudi Arabia secretly has helped the United States far more than has been acknowledged, allowing operations from at least three air bases, permitting special forces to stage attacks from Saudi soil and providing cheap fuel, U.S. and Saudi officials say. The American air campaign against Iraq was essentially managed from inside Saudi borders, where military commanders operated an air command center and launched refueling tankers, F-16 fighter jets and sophisticated intelligence gathering flights, according to the officials Much of the assistance has been kept quiet for more than a year by both countries for fear it would add to instability inside the kingdom. Many Saudis oppose the war, and U.S. presence on Saudi soil has been used by Osama bin Laden to build his terror movement. But senior political and military officials from both countries told the Associated Press the Saudi royal family permitted widespread military operations to be staged from inside the kingdom during the coalition force's invasion of Iraq. While the heart of the ground attack came from Kuwait, thousands of special forces soldiers were permitted to stage their operations into Iraq from inside Saudi Arabia, the officials said. These staging areas became essential once Turkey declined to allow U.S. forces to operate from its soil. In addition, U.S. and coalition aircraft launched attacks, reconnaissance flights and intelligence missions from three Saudi air bases, not just the Prince Sultan Air Base, where U.S. officials have acknowledged activity. Between 250 and 300 Air Force planes staged from Saudi Arabia, including AWACS, C-130s, refueling tankers and F-16 fighter jets during the height of the war, the officials said Air and military operations during the war were permitted at the Tabuk air base and Arar regional airport near the Iraq border, the officials said. Saudis also agreed to permit search and rescue missions to stage and take off from their soil, the officials said. Gen. T. Michael Moseley, a top Air Force general who was a key architect of the air campaign in Iraq, called the Saudis "wonderful partners," although he agreed to discuss their help only in general terms. We operated the command center at Saudi Arabia We operated airplanes out of Saudi Arabia, as well as sensors, and tankers," Moseley said He said he treasured "their counsel, their mentoring, their leadership and their support." U.S.-Saudi cooperation raised eyebrows last week after it was disclosed that President Bush shared his Iraq war plans with Saudi ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan before the start of the war. Some lawmakers have demanded to know why a foreigner was brought in on private war planning. When asked about the briefing, Bandar played down the extent of Saudi help. "We were allies. And we helped our American friends in the way that was necessary for them. And that was the reality," he said. U.S. and Saudi officials said Bandar was briefed several times before the war as part of securing Saudi assistance, and received regular updates as U.S. needs changed. Preparations for U.S. operations inside Saudi Arabia started in 2002 when the Air Force awarded a contract to a Saudi company to provide jet fuel at four airfields or bases inside the kingdom, documents show. When the war started, the Saudis allowed cruise missiles to be fired from Navy ships across their air space into Iraq.A few times missiles went off course and landed inside the kingdom, officials said. The Saudis provided tens of millions of dollars in discounted oilgas and fuel for American forces During the war, a stream of oil delivery trucks at times stretched for miles outside the Prince Sultan air base, said a senior U.S. military planner. The Saudis also were influential in keeping down world oil prices amid concern over what might happen to Iraqi oil fields. They increased production by 1.5-million barrels a day during the run-up to war and helped keep Jordan - which had relied on Iraqi oil - supplied. Saudi officials said they provided significant military and intelligence help on everything from issues of Muslim culture to securing the Saudi-Iraqi border from fleeing Saddam Hussein supporters.
  20. Salamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullah Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him. It was related by al-Bukhari.
  21. Bismillah Salamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullah, Brother Ayoub_Sheikh, Jazaka Allah kheir for your input, I advice the rest to read it Insha Allah.
  22. This is our condition, what is your advice? – Shaykh Haamid al‘Ali We are a group of youth, who consider themselves from the people of practice and jealousy over our religion, and having zeal for it and love for Jihaad and the Mujaahideen and hatred of the tughaat and transgressors, and for long we talked about the issues (affecting) our ummah and its condition and about Jihaad and love for martyrdom in the path of Allah, but we didn't find to it (i.e. Jihaad) a path, but the issue didn't stop at that, but took a reverse effect on us and our practicing, until our condition became as follows: - As for our manifest practicing, like having beards and shortening the thiyaab: We started not caring much about this, the important thing is that we disbelieve in the tawagheet, and some claim it is permitted to shave or shorten the beard and calls that tuqiyah with knowledge that we were not coerced into doing that and many of the youth (other than us) still holds firmly unto his principles and does not face any problems, and likewise there is neglect in our salah and not holding unto the sunan like the hats and head covers and siwaak, and this is in opposition to what we were like before. - As for our meetings: They have become meetings for gheebah and talking about the honour of scholars and meetings for dunya, and nothing of the aakhirah is mentioned in them; or have become meetings and assemblies for joking and trivial talk and laughter, until one of those people, whom we consider to be from the fusaaq said of us: “I attend your assemblies to benefit from you and to strengthen my imaan, but I didn't see a difference between you and the rest of the youth who do not pray. (You) talk about the dunya and laugh, backbite and trivialise too much,†and by Allah these words of his were like a strong slap in our faces, and we were unable to reply to him, and how can we reply to him, and we are - as we described - or even worse than what we mentioned (so far). In fact, sometimes people who smoke attend our meetings, that we call - falsely - ‘Islaamic’. - Our ideas and discussions: Our thinking has become like the thinking of the murji`ah who, for so long, we were mocking; so one of us now, (and he gives his birth control pills without limits), and says about himself that he can't provide for them and can't have more than two children, and says that this is from taking precautions (alasbaab), and that life is hard, and so on, and unfortunately others excuse him and even support him! And another (person) says, when we he is advised to leave some prohibited work, “Provide me with such-and-such an amount every month, and I'll leave my work,†and another begins his married life with sins, by talking to his fiancé by phone, even before he became her fiancé and sometimes in the street and he argues that that he's giving her da'wah and is teaching her! And another (person) wants to marry and establish a house with prohibited money and he knows that it is prohibited, and another (person) continuously sins and doesn't even notice it, and thinks he's doing well! And the worrying matter is, that after all this, we still consider ourselves practicing, and what is this practicing? The dangerous matter is that we sit as described, and about six metres away are other assemblies for youth who do not know (anything) about salah, or some of them used to pray then left it, and didn’t find anyone who will strengthen their resolve to return to it. And we pass by them daily and sit in front of them and never have we spoken to them or called them to Allah and (caused them to have) desire and fear (in Allah, paradise and hell)! And me, and the rest of my brothers are certain that in them (those brothers) is much good, and that they are prepared to respond to the call, and they are only lacking in having someone grab them by the hand and push them with lenience to trek the path of safety (an-najaat). We know that we are not better than them, as we were once like them, and as soon as someone reminded us (with a good reminder) and we heard a tape or two, guidance entered our hearts, so what delays us from calling those (youth)? I don’t know! Rather (our condition is) that we are (sufficed) with stating that the one who leaves salaah is a disbeliever and we forget our responsibility of calling to Allah and we ridicule them for leaving the prayer and we do not ridicule ourselves for neglecting the da’wah, and yet, despite all this, we consider ourselves practicing! The summary is that the shaytaanhas gradually lured us and time has passed us, so our hearts became hard and we have become faasiqeen (corrupt) without (even) realising, as though a coating was placed on our eyes – nay, our hearts - and we cannot see, and we consider ourselves prepared for Jihaad in the path of Allah! Nay we even argue about it! And we know (well) the siyar (biographies) of the Mujaahideen and what they were upon of ’ibaadah (worship) and practicing (iltizaam); so Allah’s help is sought! The questions are: - Does us, disbelieving in the tawaagheet, and loving Jihaad and the Mujaahideen, and (our claim) that if the call Jihaad is made that we would be the first to respond permit, or give us a pretext what we have mentioned to you above? - Is (the circumstance) that if we cannot go to Jihaad that we leave everything, even da’wah to Allah? (And) please also clarify how the shaytaan has entered upon us through this door. - What is the ruling on calling those youth, whom we sit close to, and will Allah ask us about them on the day of judgement; and our knowledge, what we did with it? - Is calling those youth, collectively in groups, legislated or is it from the innovations? And may Allah reward you! Answer: Praise be to Allah, and I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Him alone with no associate, and I bear witness that Muhammed is His Prophet and Messenger. That, which you have described in your question, is from the deception of Iblees on many of the people; he distracts them with anticipations, busies them with words rather than actions, and he attaches their hearts to fantasies, and seats them from acting. (So that) if one wishes to do something to change his condition, his shaytaan halts him by whispering to him with the following: “Allah has granted you tawheed, and distinguished you from others by giving you knowledge about at-Taaghoot and (the ability to) disbelieve in him, and with this alone you will be saved, and your level will be raised by Allah†and he might lure him into committing minor sins, nay, even committing major sins, with this Iblisite deception. And this poor man does not realise that he has become a victim of the greater taaghoot, and he is the shaytaan, the caller to every sin; and what are the tawaagheet except soldiers (i.e. servants) for this Satanic taaghoot. So let the intelligent person ponder upon how he has been deceived by the taaghoot - and he is warning from it – and later, he takes as enemy the human taawagheet and curses them, whilst, befriending the head of the tawaagheet when he obeys him in sinning, in secret! The shaytaan has distracted him with anticipation and hope, and battled him with this plot, and kept him seated from seriousness (in actions). It is, as Ibn al-Qayyim, rahimahullah, said: “The lowest of people in determination and the most dejected of individuals is he who is content with false hopes instead of realities, and his self fascinates and enjoys them, and they are – by the life of Allah – (like) the main wealth of the penniless man and the false trader; (and all this is nothing but) the strength of the empty self, which has been convinced with dreams rather than persevering, and with false anticipations rather than truths. “It is the most harmful of things to the man, and it gives birth to disabilities and laziness, and (also) gives birth to extremism, wastage, anxiousness and regret.†And he, rahimahullah, explained that one of the main indications of success, “is when a slave is guided to thinking about the momentary-obligation and his job, (when) all his goals are gathered for it. So the knower, is the son of his time, so if it (the time) is lost, all his interests are lost, as all interests are established in time, hence when time is lost, those interests will not be attained. ash-Shafi’ee, radiallahu ‘anh, said: I accompanied the Soofiyyah and did not benefit from them except two statements, one of which is: Time is a sword - you strike it, or it strikes you. The other being: Yourself, if you don’t engage it in truth, it will engage you in evil. Thus, the time of man is his life in reality, and it is an essence that leads to eternal bliss or eternal depression in the eternal punishment, and it passes quicker than the movement of clouds, so whoever (makes) his life for Allah and by Allah then it is his life and time, and other than that is not (really) considered to be part of his life, even if he lives the life of animals, for the one who ‘strikes’ his time with negligence, desires and false-anticipation, and the best of what he does is sleep and inaction, then the death of such a person is better than his life, (for) if the slave has from his salah only what he comprehended from it, (then likewise) he does not have of his life except as much as he was conscious of Allah, and other than that is from the (wasteful, useless) thinking or the whisperings of the shaytaan or from the false-anticipations and untrue deceptions, (which are) akin (in value) to the thoughts of the drunken or mad one. In summary then from the indications of success for the slave of Allah is when he is constantly worried about the hereafter and manufactures his time with time, if he is in Jihaad, he is in Jihaad, and if he isn’t, he busies himself with the worshipping in that time. So he is: Either calling to Allah, the Most High; for Allah has made the one who calls to Him, the best of people in speech and what a great commendation this is: the Most High says: “And who is better than he who calls to Allah and does good and says ‘I am from the Muslims’ †Or (he is) commanding virtue and forbidding vice; or remembering Allah; or busying himself with (other) types of worship and kinds of (actions that bring about) closeness (to Allah). And the Messenger, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam has made the remembrance of Allah the best of actions and better than the one who has his neck strike in Jihaad, as is in the hadeeth: “Shall I not inform you of the best of actions, and the most commended to Allah, (that) which is better than giving gold and silver as charity, and (that) which is better then for you to meet your enemy and for you to strike their necks and them to strike yours? The remembrance of Allahâ€, collected by at-Tirmithi and al-Haakim from Abud-Dardaa`, radiallahu ‘anh. Likewise, he made awaiting the prayer after a prayer, similar to ribaat (shielding) in the path of Allah, as is in the Saheeh: “Shall I not lead you to that by which Allah erases mistakes and raises in ranks? They said ‘Yes O Messenger of Allah,’ he said: “Covering (with) ablution dirt, and walking to the masaajid and awaiting the salah after a salah, for that is ribaat.†And in the hadeeth of Shu’bah there is no mentioning of ribaat, however in the narration from Maalik there is. And he made worship in times of unease akin to migration to the Messenger, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam, as is in Saheeh Muslim from Mi’qal bin Yasaar, radiallahu ‘anh: “Worship in times of unease is like migration to meâ€. That is, the one who busies himself with worship during tribulation, then he has a reward similar to the reward of migration to the Messenger, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam. And if the slave does a good action and has determination to do it, and ‘throws an arrow’ at every gate of good, (consequently) his heart becomes attached to the hereafter, (consequently he will) treat greatly what comes to him from the Messenger, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam, and will rush to imitate him, then he is upon good, and if he doesn’t do anything except have wishful thinking and hopes, then he is on a level that is not higher than (to have) regret, for he has been mislead by the shaytaan. And I advise the brothers to trouble themselves with remembrance of the hereafter, for its trouble is the greatest (and best) of troubles (that one can have), and to hold firmly unto the Quraan, (so let them) fill their abdomens with it, and let them moist their tongues with the remembrance of Allah, and to make apparent their gripping of the sunnah of the Messenger, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa salam amongst the people, and from the greatest of that (sunnah) is al-Jihaad, and for their condition to be in constant Jihaad against Satan, the ego and the desire, and in the hadeeth, the Mujaahid is the one who does Jihaad against himself for Allah, collected by at-Tirmithi from Fudaalah bin ‘Ubayd, radiallahu ‘anh, and Allah knows best.
  23. Bismillah Salamu Aleikum Wa Rahmatullah Brother I don't think the noble scholar Ibnul Qayim ( rahimuhullah) forgot the hadith of our beloved rasool (sallahu alehi wa salam) the one about when one having intercourse with his/her spouse they will be rewarded. Rather I think the noble scholar in this context talks about, when all the things he listed stands in the way of Allah's love, when ones love or desire towards those things is greater than the love one should feel for Allah. That is how I understood it.wa Allahu aclem wa aleikum salam wa rahmatullah
  24. Imam Ibn ul Qayyim al Jawziyyah Excerpted from the translator's footnotes to "An Explanation of Riyadh al-Saliheen" by Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen Translated from al-Fawa'id by Sajad ibn `Abdur Rahman, © 1998 Sajad Rana The slave is not afflicted with a punishment greater than the hardening of the heart and being distant from Allah. For the Fire was created to melt the hardened heart. The most distant heart from Allah is the heart which is hardened. If the heart becomes hardened, the eye becomes dry. If four matters are exceeded in quantity, beyond what is necessary, the heart shall become hardened: Food, sleep, speech and sexual intercourse. A body afflicted by disease does not derive nourishment from food or water, similarly a heart diseased by desire does not benefit from admonishment or exhortation. Whosoever desires to purify his heart, then let him prefer Allah to his desires. The heart which is clinging to its desires is veiled from Allah, commensurate to the degree that it is attached to them. The hearts are the vessels of Allah upon His earth, hence the most beloved of them to Him, are the ones most compassionate, pure and resistant to deviation. They (the transgressors) preoccupied their hearts [in the pursuance] of the Dunya, would that they preoccupied them with Allah and the Hereafter, then surely they would have reflected upon the intended meaning of His poignant Words and Verses. Their hearts would have returned to their masters with a wisdom, marvelously curious and [in possession] of the rarest of precious gems. If the heart is nourished with remembrance, its thirst quenched with contemplation and cleansed from corruption, it shall witness remarkable and wondrous matters, inspiring wisdom. Not every individual is endowed with knowledge and wisdom, and assumes its character is from amongst its people. Rather the People of Knowledge and Wisdom are those who infused life into their hearts by slaying their desires. As for the one who slayed his heart and vitalized his desires, then knowledge and wisdom is naked upon his tongue. The destruction of the heart occurs by security [in this Dunya] and negligence, its fortification occurs by fear and remembrance. If the heart renounces the pleasures of the Dunya, it settles upon the [pursuance] of the pleasures of the Hereafter, and amongst those who call towards it. Should the heart become content with the pleasures of the Dunya, those pleasures [of the Hereafter] cease [to continue]. Yearning for Allah and His meeting is like the gentle breeze blowing upon the heart, extinguishing the blaze of the Dunya. Whosoever caused his heart to settle with his Lord shall be in a state, calm and tranquil, and whosoever sent it amongst the people shall be disturbed and excessively perturbed. For the love of Allah shall not enter a heart which contains the love of this world, except as a camel which passes through the eye of a needle. Hence, the most beloved servant before Allah is the one whom He places in His servitude, whom He selects for His love, whom He causes to purify his worship for Him, dedicates his objectives for Him, his tongue for His remembrance, and his limbs for His service. The heart becomes sick, as the body becomes sick, and its remedy is al-Tawbah and protection [from transgression]. It becomes rusty as a mirror becomes rusty, and its clarity isv obtained by remembrance. It becomes naked as the body becomes naked, and its beautification is al-Taqwa. It becomes hungry and thirsty as the body becomes hungry, and its food and drink is knowledge, love, dependence, repentance and servitude.
