    No one disputes the fact that divisions along clan lines exist. Why do they exist though? And why are they so deep? Why now? These are the questions to which there are no simple answers. I'm glad it's no mystery to you though. Furthermore, to reduce a centuries old conflict with Abyssinia to a mere clan feud among Somalis is a little simplistic, wouldn't you say?

    Yes, but, as with any dish worth cooking, you have the fire, the main ingredients, and the spices that make it worth eating.

     

    The main ingredient is our divided house. The fire that's fueling it, in addition to us, includes foreign objects (Tigray, UN, US, EU, Arabs, etc...) and the spices are imperialism, hegemony, war of terror, control of resources, Islam, etc...

     

    I should write a paper on this.

    That's not fair saaxib. I never said anything about Somaliland's forward or sideways progress. I'm happy with the relative peace of that region. I argued, however, that the concept of secession was based on a fraudulent premise. Somaliland's progress to me is pleasantly immaterial.

    Don't confuse the Djibouti farce with a peace agreement. Sowdiga noqday nin daad qaaday, saaxib. This agreement is beyond xumbo. It's a mirage awoowe. Warmoog just pointed that out. It seems that you're taking her critique personally.

     

    I told you this before and I'll tell it again, you can still be pro dialogue and peace agreements but Djibouti was a still born endeavor saaxib.

     

    P.S. Warmoog is not a warmonger, saaxib. Lest you were confused by the spelling. :D
