Torres-It is simple question of are they allowed to join the war on one side or the other? Now if you wanna dispute the facts on what happaned last Saturday and Sunday, that's another story. There was no indication that AMISOM was provoked, and even if they were,there's limit to how peacekeeping force can actively participate in combat. As for their mandate, for it to be legal, they must have the consent of all the parties involved in the conflict. We all know Al-Shabaab has opposed them from day one day! I will be very surprised if they will kill these men. Al-Shabaab's leaders despite the rethoric are pragmatic.They knew these men are useful alive.I expect Al-Shabaab to hold on these hostages for long time, but I doubt they will execute them. These men are bargaining chips and tool for propaganda, disposing of them won't be useful to Al-Shabaab.
