^There's always a concern if the production area is close to human habitation whether landscape is arid or lush with green. Toxicity would always concern specially in regards underground streams if there are any. That said, if the question is does the good out weigh the bad, I would yes and any potential oil and minerals should be explored. Somalia has nine years before it officially comes under the UN as required by international law. The Italians from what I understand did suggest Somalia to be ruled by Joint AU/UN commission.
