There are OLF flags than they are Ethiopian flags.

We lack the basic understanding of governance, whatever system of governance won't matter unless people are not fully informed and the politicians are since in the application of the constitution and laws. The most basic problem is the incomplete constitution that creates a lot of confusion in terms of responsibilities.

How would accepting Somaliland secession solved the problem in the South?

There's a difference about learning from past or being burdened by it. In the case of Somalis, the past has became an obstacle to the future.

Obsessing about history will not solve the current problems.

Djibouti president ismaciil cumar geele to visit asmara soon
Che -Guevara replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
The Kenyan president is going there as well. It will be in the interest of Eritrea and Djibouti to make good and solve their issues. I doubt Eritrea will attack Djibouti considering it's just coming in from the cold. -
Maamulka Garowe ninki ugu magacowna Buuhoodleh oo iskaga tagay xilkaa..
Che -Guevara replied to Suldaanka's topic in Politics
I think there's a better chance of the newly demoted Abdi Kheyr defecting. After Kalshaale, it would be unwise to attack Buhoodle. -

All of which doesn't apply to Somaliland as Somalia was unitary state, a founding OAU member whose constitution explicitly states the inviolability of its borders, something AU, UN and every state reaffirms since 1964 Cairo Declaration. Again, Puntland doesn't need to assert any legal claim as Somaliland is legally of part of Somalia, it is a mere regions fighting a useless war.
-
The legality of Puntland's claim doesn't matter as long as Somaliland is legally part of Somalia. As far as international community is concerned, this is a tribal/regional war within Somalia and they are addressing it as such. AU, UN and any other organization are not asking Puntland to respect colonial borders for there is no legal basis to make such a demand, IC is merely trying to avert a useless war in already volatile region.

The UAE has tasked Asmara to smooth relations with Mogadishu. Considering UAE has the ears of Addis Ababa, Asmara, Washington D.C and presence in Puntland and Somaliland, why does Mogadishu matter to them politically?
