  8. Jamal, Such files need to be stored on a machine that is connected to the Web 24/7, no way around that at least NOT that I know of. You are a Moderator, you can load the files into the SOL servers and create links to them. (I can hear Admin saying Not a fat chance ). Here are some options: If your machine is connected to the Web 24/7 via cable modem for example (like mine ) , then you can just configure your machine to be a Web Server and create links to these files. OR Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may give you some minimal free Web disk space storage; you can load the files into their servers and creates links to them. OR You are maybe able to get some minimal free disk space storage from a web hosting company such as: http://www.free-online-storage.8k.com/ Or from one of the common web portals such as http://geocities.yahoo.com/home http://blackplanet.com/ These are just few examples of some web hosting companies that can give you free limited Web storage. Go to www.google.com and type "Free Web Storage" and you will get tons of them. Good luck, I would offer to store these files in my machine but I will get in trouble with my ISP

  10. My girl (San Yar) of course. Jazz or R&B (both are good)
  11. Aplus, In that case and using your unsubstantiated measurement one can also say that Ali would be an average fighter too in today's standards and when compared to other recent boxers. Keep in mind, to a certain degree, it's not what Ali did in the ring is what kept him famous for so long, certainly what he did outside the ring has a lot to do with his celebrity status. Being very vocal against the US army and refusing to be drafted in an era where the civil rights struggle was at its peak and those always-catchy one-liners is what kept in the minds of fans. lool Do NOT get me wrong I am knocking on Ali, he is great but Jackie is the greatest. This is just my opinion.
  12. If it wasn't for Jackie where would Mohamed Ali be today, probably no where, . No doubt Jackie has paved the way for Ali, Jordan, Woods. Ali is great but Jackie is the greatest. This is a quote from the article in the above link. It reiterates my point. Many of today's athletes say they have heard of Robinson, but admit they don't know anything about him. Others admit they've never even heard of him -- but they would do well to learn, because if it wasn't for Robinson, we wouldn't have ever heard of them.
  13. Good point Abdinuur and so is the case with baseball when they refer to the playoffs finals as the World Series. I mean whose world are they talking about here. Frankly both sport are VERY VERY VERY boring. GOOOOOOOOOOO HOCKEY. Truth to be said though, the best talents in the world are found in the NBA (show me the money) and if there are any players out there in Europe who are more talented, then, I am sure the scouts will get their hands on them. Talent is a big money maker for NBA team owners.
  14. It's gotta be the man who broke the color barriers in the American sport seen. Jackie Robinson Find out why he is the greatest athlete of the 20th century
  15. Blossom, Well, for me I have to visit those arrogant khlig countries at least every other year to see my immediate and extended family. Sorry I was not clear, I meant Job Search Committees to fill vacant software developers positions. Our searches are independent form the HR department, IT management actually conducts the search and we do an initial employment eligibility screening but once a candidate is recommended then HR verifies the actual work eligibility documents. As far as far my boss not knowing that green card holders are eligible for employment, let’s just say, it’s out of ignorance. Something that is pretty common amongst the US population when it comes to matters related to foreigners or foreign countries. Now back to the Topic Mujahid, For the sake of privacy (FBI is sniffing this site ) Someone paid (not gonna say who) a woman $10,000 to get her to help him get a green card (not gonna say how). And she did, but when the conditional period expired (I think 2 years) and he needed to get his permanent green card she was no where to be found. Guess what happened to him? YEAH, he got deported.
  16. Blossom, Love your nickname. Those who took the citizenship of their adopted countries did it mostly for good reasons I am sure, either to get ahead or for ease of travel. Having a US passport for example can pretty much allow you to traveling to many countries with many fewer restrictions. Also many countries do not accept those travel documents you mentioned, like those arrogant Khlig countries. Finally changing citizenship does not alter your bloodlines, we are all still full-blooded Somalians no matter which citizenship we carry which I am sure for most us of is a temporary thing. BTW-I was part of numerous search committees the last couple of years, my director, a very intelligent and well informed woman did not know that a green card holder has the right to work in the US and almost disqualified a candidate because of it. So just another advantage citizenship gives you without even being aware of it. MMA, those are some funny stories bro
  17. DrRomantic, Tough day at the office recruiting losers. I can't help it but laugh bro.
  18. Abdinuur, The last time I gave my honest opinion about polygamy I was bombarded with many nasty and not so pleasant PMs. This time I would just say, love your “only” wife, live happily ever after and grow old together. Do not just steal her beauty and youth, treat her like an old crumbling car and trade her for a younger one. Peace….
  19. SouL_LaDy , You mean he cannot have a second wife to procreate with. Just kidding I hope you do not mind a guy butting in with his two cents. Not sure what Islam says about this but if that was my dilemma (God Forbid) I would never abandon my wife, won’t do the artificial insemination or the surrogate motherhood thing. I would simply adopt a Somali baby. BTW-Good topic sister. Peace…
  20. FGM and Polygamy two of the worst social and cultural atrocities committed against our women. It’s time for both practices to die. Peace
  21. Last week I attended a diversity training mandated by my employer. At some point in the training there was an exercise about stereotyping certain groups. Muslims were one of those groups, the participants were asked to jot down the first thing that came to their minds as soon as the category was revealed. Here what 30 educated and (somewhat intelligent) people said about Muslims: Scary Arabs Religious Dark Different Peaceful Islam People in the Middle East Ali (The boxer I guess) War Mongers Argumentative Extremist Have more than one wife People with lots of oil Very peaceful and certainly miss-understood (That was my two cents) Long bearded Suicidal Dress funny Crazy I guess if this is what 30 educated Americans think of Muslims I hate to know what the ignorant ones think. The sad part is no matter how much diversity and sensitivity training these people go thru at the end of the day they will go back to their white suburbia settings and get fed more and more fallacies from the main stream media about other cultures and religions that are different from theirs. Just sharing, comments are welcome and feel free to share any positive or negative stereotyping you may have heard. Positive vibrations please…
  22. Baydan, My CAN’S lost to your talented and high payroll Wings. But lots of credit goes to those CAN’S who had a Cinderella season. No one expected them to get as far as they did. The CAN’S unlike the Wings are a young team and Insha allah next year they will come back just as strong and will win it all. Now repeat after me and the dancing smiley GO CAN'S GO GO CAN'S GO GO CAN'S GO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN'S

  25. There is no dollar left loose. Why are you assuming that they paid $9 each? Each share of the bill is: $8.3333333333333333333333333333 + $1.00 got back = $9.3333333333333333333333333333. + .6666666666666667 bellboy share from each = $10.00 X 3 = $30.00
