  1. Hi Paragon again,, Surely the Supreme reality offers transcendence to every one who is ready to receive it. The way is in fact prepared for us but one has to walk the walk and talk the talk. Additionally it may be useful to seek the help of people who walked on the path before who know its turns and twists. We are never alone in our journey for the universe hearing our yearnings cares for everyone of us and provides to us what we need in Life. If what one wants most in Life is to realize the Self they have a noble intention; they get all the help they need; if they want war they get all the help they need to experience it; if they want to amass wealth they get help to get it. It is natural that whatever one puts into his attention, good or bad, eventually comes to him. Therefore anyone who is engaged to realize the Self and then God should not feel frantic but should rather smile because in a bright and sunny day, in the grace of God and through his personal effort, he might come to the destination he has set for himself. 2. Reality is that which is ostensive or demonstrable. In other words, there must be tangible evidence for something to be real. This is a partial answer. Reality has an inside and outside components which are complementary when they exist together. The inside is a state of being of the things and it is not accessible to our physical senses; consciousness which is neither tangible nor demonstrable is an example of the content of the inside. The outside is a state of becoming or creation from the inside and it can not exist independent of the other state; your definition cover the later state not the first causative one. For the answer to become complete we have to take into account the role of the consciousness which without it reality would not be self aware and hence its existence becomes meaningless. We humans get to experience reality through our senses (there are more than 5, btw). Without our senses, we can't perceive reality. This has already been demonstrated with the administration of psychoactive drugs to humans resulting in their inability to tell reality from mere hallucinations. The state of our senses obviously determines how well we perceive reality. When our senses are inhibited, our perception of reality is poor. Those who have experienced lucid dreaming know when their physical senses were closed in an sleep state in here they experienced With full sensory input another reality full of wonders. How can that happen if the physical senses are masters? Of course the senses are just instrument which relay sensory information to the brain and by themselves have no power to perceive reality Reality is separate and independent from us humans. A tree that falls in a forest doesn't require human attendance to see or hear or sense it in anyway for its fall to be a reality. It fell, making noise as it came down crashing, regardless of our ability to perceive reality. And how do we know the tree fell in the forest? Evidence. Nothing is separate from anything else. You have surely heard the butterfly effect; the amazing effect the flapping of butterfly wings can have on the environment at the other side of the world. Wherever there is reality there is Life at least in essence. In your example there is life, the forest. Life in me, in you, in the birds and other animals and also in trees is integral whole. In that sense nothing is outside the pool of Life; space-time and beyond is filled by life-giving essence we call life when it dwells in form in our reality. Thus theoretically a human being who is in tune With the higher vibrations of Life could witness such an event from afar in the sense that the same life that has witnessed the event is present in the one who is remote viewing it. If somethings are imperceptible, how did you come to know that in the first place? I asked you that question and have yet to receive an answer. It is like saying no one knows where Abigail Sunderland is but she is in Mexico. If I had uttered such thing, you'd dismiss it is empty talk devoid of any logic. I feel the same about the video you posted. I belief in the power of Soul! Everyone of us has the potential to know where Abigali Sunderland is but we do not access such information because we are not responsible enough yet to access that information.. Had I access to information in that level I could be tempted to spy for example on my wife The Awakener2
  3. I need to make reality check first. Tell me if you wish where you stand with regard to the following propositions pertaining to the nature of reality. 1)The universe is a huge mechanical system of solid objects on fixed time and three dimensional space and there exists nothing else but this reality. 2)Everything in existence could be described objectively and as a matter of fact all phenomena is a result of physical interactions of all its physical parts. 3) There is no unity but rather everything is separate from everything else. 4)The human body is composed of solid mechanical parts and consciousness, mind and emotions are the direct result of chemical interactions and function of the brain. 5)What the sensory organs or their extensions like the scientific instruments can not perceive does not exist. If you check my above list and tell me where you agree or disagree with me and why I would then go back to your last posting and try to answer you to the best of my ability. The Awakener2
  4. We are heading to nationhood and a birth of new way of social inter-relationship which I may call the nation oriented culture. We are under going change from tribe oriented culture to nation oriented one but this change has been painful for two reason: first the way ahead and what it entails has not been clear for the majority of us therefore we have been struggling to embrace change; Even those who are ready for change do not know how they can best adjust themselves for what is coming. Second many of us want to stay in our comfort zone which is tribal oriented way of Life meaning we want to keep what we from experience think is best. It is common knowledge though that the traditional way of Life, the nomadic pastoral oriented way of life, is no longer serving our survival needs. In fact that way of life is crumbling under our feet and in consequence we are pushed to a new ground for change which we have yet to accept collectively; it is my suggestion thus that the pain we are experiencing is birth bang associated with the change we have to make. Nationhood is here to stay; we need to receive and welcome it with gratitude, peace and a sigh of relief. The Awakener2

    War Debate

There is no justifiable war because in the end it is indiscriminate in effect; environment, Life forms, economy, things which have taken generations maybe thousands of years to create and evolve are destroyed or damaged in the blink of an eye. People and nations begin war when they are taken over by the passions of the mind specially the emotions of anger and aggression; There is nothing holy about war when it is a means to acquire power and material goods; In nutshell in all cases war is an expression of the dark side of the human psyche. Nevertheless philosophically one can say that man himself is in evolution. Just two thousand years ago at the height of the Roman Empire and before that soldiers were not paid but had to live on the plunders from the people, towns and cities they conquer. They killed without mercy all they associated with the enemy except women whom they took as slave wives. Even cannibalism of the enemy was encouraged by primative tribes when fighting broke between them. This was the norm at that time but since then man has been progressively adopting more humane ways to treat one another. More kind and compassionate human being is where we are heading; qualities of kindness and compassion which are antidotes to war has yet to unfold in our collective psyche. But in time in the evolution of man we will come to an stage of adulthood in which we will supposedly realize that everyone of us is in fact steward who has responsibility to care for his human companions, the environment the earth and whatever else which exists in ones domain of influence. Hence when one justifies war today that person in effect is saying " let us destroy our life and life of others". When one tells us to be kind he is saying in effect " let us preserve Life". The choice is ours to make individually! The Awakener2
  6. Raamsade, What is reality then? Is it only what the five sensory organs convey to the brain or is it more than that ? The video I presented asserts that there exists something beyond matter that in its deepest layer is neither conceivable nor perceptible; in other words ineffable; besides most of the religions in the world postulate that there is power beyond matter Who creates the phenomenal world. Science theorizes that matter is energy even when it is in condensed form like you and me. Briefly the conclusion is that our sensory organs are poor instruments to tell the true nature of creation or the Creator. Would you offer another explanation to us! The Awakener2
  7. I wonder whether you watched the video because you are not addressing the content of the presentation! Why the presenter of video who happens to be Bruce Lipton is not in the peer-refereed academic journals is open for debate and personally I honor your views about him. I understand that he is crackpot for you but I may not share that view with you. See? At the end of pt1 Bruce Lipton says: ...... So every thing I gone talk you tonight is science within the last ten years and interesting part about it is this it takes at least ten or fifteen years for science to take a fact from its first inception and to get it out to the public so they can understand it..........so what you gone hear to night is the future textbook. You gone know the science that is just been released for the past fifteen years. As he claims he compiled different scientific findings about cellular biology for the past fifteen years ( before 2000) and in effect proposed new scientific paradigm namely that perception or belief governs the expression of the genes not the other way. I invite you to comment about that proposition. As to the role of Science I think its benefitial contribution to humanity specially in the last 200 years is unparalleled but still it has not been a charity organization but profit driven in its practical application. It is my contention that the full potential of the scientific findings has not be utilized for the best of humanity. Why? Because there has not been profit in some findings regardless of their benefits to man and the environment and therefore such findings have never seen the light. Just google: free energy, and you may guess what I mean. The Awakener2
  8. When everything that is tangible is my how can I then understand or explain to another person that which is neither perceivable or conceivable? It has to be vain to try to explain what the most transcendent is! The Awakener2
  9. Raamsade, thanks for your input. One may call Lipton a crackpot but he might become qualified as a genius tomorrow. It is not unusual that pioneering scientific findings are laughed at first then ridiculed and later accepted as scientific fact. The Scientific Establishment like any other modern day establishment is driven by profit. Thus the reputable peer-refereed scientific journals being mouthpiece for the said Scientific Corporate Entity will not probable alienate its beneficiary and that may be the reason his scientific findings, like many other scientific findings and new technologies, is not mentioned in them. Bruce Lipton claims that with the right perception the human biology is capable to do wonders beyond our imagination. He also promotes that we are not miserable biological entities who have to depend for their health and well being synthetic chemical medicines on the hands of profit hungry industries but rather a powerful and self sufficient beings. The central theme I'm trying to propagate in my writings is about Self Knowledge and this piece is a contribution to that end- if you misread my intention brother Raamsade. The Awakener2
  10. Knowledge is a power but the opposite is also true; lack of knowledge results in a lack of power. Bruce Lipton speaks about . His presentation though a challenge to the dogmatically held views on the subject is still worth to be watched with open mind. In his presentation he answers many questions in a new way. 11. Ilax Asks: But stil strugling to understand why this is taking too long? If you mean the wars and hostilities it is about power struggle which in this face of the war is between the Islamic oriented elite using ignorant Somalis as foot soldiers and foreign actors as financiers and overseers. Ilax asks; Where is the problem now ? The problem among other things is: 1) the clan mentality of the people which fuels distrust between them. 2) a lack of competent leadership with strong social base. 3) a lack of genuine outside actors who would help to reinstate a functioning Somali national government with functioning institutions. Ilax asks: Is it cos re-emergency of Islamist? Lately the Islamic oriented elite and their social base has not been a united and coherent force. They are now the Sufis, the Salafs, clan minded masses cloaked with wrong convictions and many others; the Islamic oriented elite is leading now all the fighting groups including the TFG and there is no doubt that their infighting has prolonged the suffering of the people and further destroyed the country and destabilized the people . It comes back though to the lack of competent leadership. how could we solve the problem `? The problem is the continuation of the hostilities. To end the hostilities is a primary solution which can open the gate for further positive solutions! The Awakener2
  12. Nur wrote: Is in it then illogical that followers of Prophet Muhammad......are in practice surrendering to other than Allah in deed and taking other than Allah as protectors and Waliyy from which they seek in their grave visitation, to aid them, give them children if they are barren, make Nadr for their needs, take holy sand to put on their forehead like the Hindu, and to believe that the dead saint has powers even when dead to come to their aid? I agree with Nur that one should exclusively surrender only to God. In the same way that a dead mother can not breast-feed her new born baby likewise a dead person can not come to the aid of anyone in this side of Life; this is not only a correct religious stand but it is also a logical one; nevertheless if a person or a group have wrong perception about a subject what is needed first is to create a conducive environment where truth could flourish and people could have peace and time for reflection. It nutshell communicating the truth to one another is more productive way than going to war. Besides all the waring groups in Somalia should work for the formation of national government instead of doings actions which may attract the headlines as the case has been for the last one and half year. Nur wrote: If for the last 30 years, Somali scholars have educated the public on the Shirk nature of these graves that are raised like Hindu Temples, and to this day, its still in practice and political groups are reviving the dormant grave worship as a tool of disruption of the peace the Shabab has established in the territories they control, how long more would you suggest the Shabab educate the grave worshipers and when can they act to demolish these graves? In the scheme of Life 30 years is nothing. Why would we be hasty when in fact our actions are otherwise destructive and among other things innocent blood has to be shed every day! Why would we be selfish by thinking to receive all the hasanaat for ourselves or wish to leave little for the generation after us! People do not prefer to be ruled but they want to be consulted and wish to become participants in the formation of their fate. You know what I mean if you have children; the same way that it is neither productive nor civilized to fight with your children when they disagree with you but have to show patience and seek to have dialogue with them so would you treat your brother in faith but also as an equal when you disagree. One should pratice to approach differences in a mental state of peace and , if possible, in serenity and in the process learn to sort out differences in dialogue even if this takes year. That is what Islam(peace) is about. The proper path is not to harm your Muslim brother or sister in word or hand. The Awakener2
  13. What is needed is removal of ignorance about how we should relate to the graves; it is about informing the people the proper Islamic way of visiting the graves; an informed Muslim citizen is the best grantee for PEACE and SECURITY for the nation. The proper Islamic way permits to visit the graves of the deceased but it is not permissible to worship the graves; all Islamic schools of thought, including the Sufis, agree on that precept. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to visit graves, and he would recite du’aa’s for the dead for example “Al-salaamu ‘alaykum ahl al-diyaar min al-mu’mineen wa’l-Muslimeen, wa inna in sha Allaah bikum laahiqoon, nas’al Allaaha lana wa lakum al-‘aafiyah (Peace be upon you, O people of the dwellings, believers and Muslims. If Allah wills we will join you. We ask Allah to grant us and you safety). As long as the intention of a visit to a grave is confined to du'aa ( asking Allah forgiveness for the deceased and others) one is legally on safe ground otherwise any other reason which brings the person to the grave including worship or digging out the remains of the deceased without the proper Islamic procedure are wrong. 14. It is the first time if I'm right after the collapse of Adal sultanate little under 500 years ago that the Islamic elite has come to sniff the national power again. Unlike that previous historical time Which Iman Ahmed Guray entered the Province of Tigray and by reaching Axum destroyed the Church of Our Lady Mary Zion this time the boys from Ethiopian highlands have come down to the coastal line of Mogadishu leaving behind a city in ruins and traumatized people. In light of what has happened now in this eventful but historically significant time one would expect that the Islamic elite would show ingenuity, resourcefulness and last but not the least leadership. Sitting at the sidelines of national power for approximately 500 years this could be their chance to show what they are worth. What we are witnessing is filan waa. Kani waa murtid kaasi waa takfiir, dhiigoodu waa banaan yahay , gaalo ama alqaacida ayey wataan iwm. has become the daily fatwas of the elite leadership. Iyagii baa kala dhammaan la'. What I'm witnessing is not encouraging but may be I have high expectations. The Awakener2

  18. Previously posted by Nur Desecration of graves is forbidden in Islam as well as Grave Worship. The above news report about the religious group that is alleged to have desecrated the grave of dead "Saints" is written by a Somali correspondent for the BBC World Service, wholly owned by the British government and not by a reliable neutral news source for this particular incidence. Allah SWT says in Surah Al Xujuraat V6 in the Holy Quraan: O you who believe, if a news is brought to you by a Faasiq ( Out Law, From Law of Allah), VERIFY the news ( get the total picture, the CONTEXT and MOTIVES etc) lest you defame a group of people with ignorance, and later regret what you have committed (your libelous statements) The British Government is on record to have indirectly supported the toppling of the Islamic Courts of Somalia, which for the first time brought the semblance of governance to Somalia in 16 years, by the proxy Ethiopian Army, which among many crimes against humanity, have desecrated mosques, raped Somali women and killed scores of civilians in a two year period. BBC did not cry for the dead, nor protest the civilian slaughter, the raped and maimed Somalis then, now that a rival group to the poodle criminal warlord government that they staunchly support is in a predicament, its understandable that their propoganda effort is reaching out for hired Somali pens who can inspire new round of civil war, this time religious in nature, between what the author termed in an inflammatory way, as a duel between the Wahabism, and the Sufi orders in Somalia. Before you get mad at any group in Somalia, do some research about the history of this rivalry, American Intervention for the past 20 years, and the creation of the Synthetic "Sufi Fighters" group of Somalia, reminiscent of Sunni- Shia Civil War in Iraq, created by British SAS to do the dirty work that Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi and the TFG combined, failed to deliver, financed with over 300 Million Dollars of indirect foreign investment to prolong Somalia's woes It has to be imperative then that we all become mouthpiece for peace. How else can we come out of this web of predicaments in which, among other things, fraternal slaughtering and destruction of the fabric of the country is justified by even many educated and intelligent somalis ! It does not make sense to say there are amongs us murtids or takfiirs whose blood is justified to take and at the same breath say foreigners are responsible for the bloodshed. By definition it has to be the one or the other because either we are the handlers of our war and foreigners are merely taking advantage of the situation or the foreigners are the real handlers and all of us are doing their job - knowingly or unknowingly! It takes two to dance tango. Peace looks remote unless tha waring groups reach out one another! The Awakener2
  19. You have left out A/B in your equation who has the same ideological goals as A but has similar political objectives as B C with his geo-political/ economic interest and religious persuasion has always been here and will continue to be. The war is serving his interest now and he stays envolved by supplying probably all sides with their war effort through many times means the brotners can not foresee. Stop the war and you will find C frantically looking for a new strategy. Now an example of the mud the brothers are merged in: A believes B to be Murtad and fights With him but still A is not good friend with A/B either; instead he alienates him and even fought with him over resources/disagreements. While B is fighting with his two brothers on the name of defence. The brothers hence are waging unjustified war in an implicit or explicit way. The prolongation of the war by the brothers regardless of who is wrong or right are serving C and in effect justifications aimed to continue the war serve his interest. When we agree this permiss can we propose solutions. The Awakener2
  20. Previously posted by Xiin. To conclude, TFG is not a dawladah riddah. Other political entities in Somalia are not kuffaar entity. The wars in Somalia are not jihadi wars. They are civil wars that killed more Muslims then kuffaars. The solution lies in dialogue and political settlements, not in endless violence and false pride. sorry brother that I overlooked the conclusion of your answer, a brilliant one. There remains little to add to this debate; the war in its different aspects and participants is not sanctioned by competent impartial Sharia Court or tried in any way which can validate it. Therefore in its present form it can be given any name except religious war.I call it a war for competition for power by political entities with Islamic names. Ilaahay khayrka ha ina waafajiyo Aamin The Awakener2
  21. Xiin, You have given voice to many points I may agree with you. But let me be sure, when you say: As far as I am concern alshabaab is not an entity that is motivated by politics. This organization is a religious in nature, and its theological dispositions are in line with the takfeeri movements of the past , you stop short here to call Alshabaab takfeeri entity. Is that right? I mean is there a legal ruling you are aware of which declares Alshabaab as an entity outside of Islam and, in your opibion, is such a ruling necessary before one calls them takfeer? The Awakener2
  22. Brother Nur, You have have given an answer to the question of Xiin; a satisfactory one I may add. It is the function of Sharia court to pass a judgement about cases for apostasy and it practically means that a Sharia Court has to hear the accusation of the apostasy and declare a verdict. Since we do not have ruling of Sharia Court which incriminates the TFG for apostasy or a group for Takfeer we can safely say that we are dealing with accusation (this last sentence is my opinion) . The answer is good enough for me. The Awakener2
  23. I will come with my last two cents on this topic by first saying to Xiin: Brother if what we need most now is peace then calling a group takfeeri won’t heal wounds. It is rather a drumbeat for war so that warriors can be marshaled into a battle field. Such an action leads to the opposite of what we are trying to achieve. When one is trying to find a solution to an intricate problem as ours it is ideal that one should not alienat the opposing person/group but rather accommodate him/it both in action and in word. Hence accommodating words and actions are expected from TFG and its sympathisers. Besides the ongoing war in Somalia now has everything to do with power and positions. we the laymen have already understood that much now and it is not easy to sway us into other frame of mind. Marka culimo kitaabo isu soo gurata oo ay qolo qiil hesho arrintu kuma jirto ee farsamooyin kale ayey u baahan tahay!! To Nur I say: I have been looking up to you as our sheikh and thus expecting that you would always give us, in your level of understanding, impartial answers about any questions members of this forum ask you. But it is clear that your answers have not been fair when it comes to the political situation in Somalia and I commend you that you now have shown courage by saying that in your last contribution in this topic. Of course you are aware that in the bigger picture such actions bring mistrust; It puts your credibility and the credibility of the culima in-line. This is no time to become sentimental brother. In this war we are all losers in all aspect of our life. This is a crucial thought to keep in mind! Now I will advice you both to speak about the solutions not the differences as you have been doing. The Awakener2
  24. Following is an incident which happened in Norway years ago. A Somali father killed his wife and two small children in Oslo the capital of Norway. He was separated from his wife at that time and she had parental responsibility for their children. The father visited the family in that fateful day in their house and killed them all. After he finished his job he called the Police and got arrested. I believe that the children were under the age of five; the Somali community understandable was and still is petrified by what happened. He justified his action by saying "I saved my children from hell; they would lose their faith". I have not first hand knowledge as to the correctness of this information but I'm using it for illustration. If the details of the story are true what bothers me is how he justified his action . . . . . . .how did he know that his children will leave from their Islamic roots? May be he could see the future but seeing the future is a quality that the majority of us lack and when someone or group is committing crimes we cannot be expected to readily accept his or their actions on the bases of predictions on the future. Now Nur says " If there is a conflict situation in which either life is lost, or faith will be lost, which one is more important in Allah's view: 1. Preservation of Life 2. Preservation of Faith". It seems as though the writer when he says " or faith will be lost "is sure about what will happen in the future but for me it is about an assumption. We can not allow our selves to take life on the bases of assumptions nor can we be part of endless wars which progressively weaken if not annihilate the very existence of a people as a nation in this case ours. The very act of waging war has the potential to become cause for someone or many to leave their faith. Just try and extrapolate the potential of how many somalis in the diaspora and their descendents could leave their faith. A somali wisdom says" Calool gaajoonaysaa waa waxwalba u nugul". My question is if faith is what we are trying to defend why is a fraternal war is the only option? The hand of God and His servants works in mysterious ways. What we need most now is compassion and mercy; qualities that are primary attributes of God. From our part we could realise that these attributes can be emulated in human level. We could be kind and compassionate to one another. In retribution the flood gates of the heaven may be opened and higher winds of the divine compassion and mercy may rain on all. It is easier for us that the peace we are longing for comes on that manner. Besides Tawakal is an important aspect of worship and it solves many problems if only we could show patience. What is left for God and entrusted to Him becomes manifested to us in most satisfying manner. The Awakener2
