  1. Mos def. Bush will win, Not only have they raised mad money (by the end it should be aroun 200 million), but they got most of the american populous brainwashed specially on matters of "National Security". My favorite candidatefor democrats is John Kerry , if he manages to be the main candidate, he might give Bush some trouble. On the other hand it would be sad to see a corrupt zionist like Joseph Lieberman emerge as democratic candidate.
  2. lool@baaniyaal I hope beckham joins his friend McManamen on the REAL bench, but with the money there gonna be payin him, probably not gonna happen.
  3. Libaax, Mines. sounds like a nice place then sxb. Just out of curiousity though, are you one of those who took major loans from OSAP and then ran across the border to avoid paying them? Seen plenty people do that.
  4. calliba killa, you already know mine, the '94 final where Houston beat the knicks in 7 games. Thats was the tighest fought finals I ever seen. Remember Starks chooked in game 7 . It was good ball too, unlike this years finals.
  5. Nice story Bari, I'm impressed you put your differences aside to post this topic. Libaax, I have to say I disagree with you strongly. I believe the canadian social system is far more even handed and presents better oppurtunity for young somalis to get ahead. I myself attend University, and if it wasn't for the canadian government supporting me, I don't phantom how I could pay for my education. That goes for most somalis living here in Canada. Both the provincial and the federal governments pich in to lend money to those students in need of financial aid. This comparison of the superior canadian social system to that of the extremely capitalist american system goes beyond education, it can be demonstrated in health care, housing, overall living standard etc...
  6. Thanks for the article geediid. Ms.Ismail's resume looks impressive, I'm looking forward to seing her in action.
  7. Silen sistah, the brotha mentioned Ceel-Afweyn, but he aslo talked about Ceerigabo which is no small town .
  8. Something Intriguing about this subject, Wasn't the original intention of creating the Puntland State to gain independence? I look to the more knowledgeable nomads on Puntland affairs to clarify this for me.
  9. Gaashaamo, you sure know how to put Xassan in his place. To bad he'll have to read this post as a "guest" . Nevertheless it would be useful if we put all this aside, since people are being banned from the site due to the instigative comments of a few. I'd personally like to see the people who were involved in a constructive manner in this topic, to get back to were they left off. Also allowing those who were watching from the sidelines (myself included) to take back their seats, without being the target of instigated hate. I'm sure Samurai (the topic starter), did not intend for hateful messages to sabotage his posting.
  10. lol@northerner true that sxb...
  11. lol@libaax, I was gonna get into the 2nd close of the law but you beat me to it. Obviously anyone who would (let's presume) take up arms against somaliland or not recognize its sovereignty would not do well in a applying for citizenship. Kinda like the loyalist that did not recognize the American independence. A lot of them decided to move to Canada, others stayed in the former colonies and immersed them selves in American society. Personally I don’t like to see people being displaced, and if those opposed to Somaliland that might live within the borders can find themselves to accept the sovereignty of Somaliland within its respective borders, then I see no reason why they wouldn’t be able to gain citizenship regardless of their political views. But if they can’t accept article 2 (land sovereignty), then the only personal solution for them might be displacement (out of their own free will of course). I’m reasoning that they don’t want to live as hypocrites and take up a citizenship of a country that they do not recognize.
  12. Shujui, A word of advice sxb, try to stay away from CNN as much as possible, I try to do the same myself. You know why the words of pro-israeli speakers never find much opposition? its because those medias are controled by zionist from the top down (owners, producers, news anchors etc...). I'm guessin you probably already know this fact. Let me tell you a man who had the courage to oppose the wrong doing of the american government and Israel on CNN, his name was Bill Press. Shortly after 9/11 he had the guts to say that the so-called WAR ON TERRORISM was really a WAR ON ISLAM on the show Crossfire. Shortly afterwards he was released by CNN to be replaced by another so-called democrat who would not oppose the Zionist and neo-conservative point of view concerning the middle east and US foreign affairs.
  13. Nice article Shujui, But sahiib we all know Israel doesn't have to be accountable for all its human right abuses as long as they have the worlds sole SUPER power or HYPER power (as the french say) behind them 100%.
  14. Mobb, Samigyrl is right here's article 4 of the constitution 1. Any person who is a patrial[1] of Somaliland, who is the descendant of a person residing in Somaliland on 26th June 1960 or earlier, shall be recognised as a citizen of Somaliland. 2. The law shall determine the acquisition or loss of the citizenship of Somaliland. so according to the constitution you would be eligible to apply for citizenship. I hope You, Samygyrl, myself and the rest of the somalilander "diaspora" can apply for citizenship one day . As you can see, the law does not discriminate on Clan allegiance like some of the propaganda spread by anti-Somaliland patrons would suggest.
  15. I hope Klitshko wins, simply because I hate Lewis' fighting style. He's an embaressement to all the past talented and courageous black heavyweights. A man of his size and strenght should make short work of opponents. this being said, I don't think Klitshko has what it takes to beat him. So look for LEWIS to get another victory, one that should be a K.O but will probably take 12 rounds
  16. One question.. If Figo stays with Real, and Real also gets Beckham, where will Beckham play?? Zidane and figo seem to be running his normal positions. Either way I think bringing Beckham to Real will not only be a waste of money, but it will also result in a "Too many stars" scenario. Read my lips people BECKHAM=OVERATED, I think real can learn a thing or too from the AC MILAN president.
  17. lol@libaax... you're right sxb, all the credit for the war plans is due to the hawks and right wing conservatives, those in the pentagon and otherwise. They sure accomplished their plans. Wolfwitz in particular, he wrote the BUSH DOCTRINE itself, and get this: the original copy was presented to bush senior more than 10 yrs prior
  18. What can I say, the British are almost as ignorant as the Americans. The United Kingdom has always been on the outskirts of Europe in every sense of the word.
  19. AC Milan president, Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi, poured cold water on the reports on Monday, saying his club had better things to spend their money on than Beckham. he he he...I like that quote, Beckham is overated. As for Real might needing Beckham, that is a joke intself..lol.
  20. Entrepreneur, saxiib I didn't feel personally targeted by your message, I simply disagree with your statements specially the part about the flags.
  21. What about the flags and the nicknames? is this permissable? Don't get me wrong I am not attacking any region or person, but flags and nicknames do have a tribal connotation. don't you think so? I wasn't expecting that from you Entrepreneur. That is all I have to say.
  22. populace by way of voting in all regions including existing administrations in the Northern ( NW & NE) regions I sincerely hope the Kenyan conference can result in some real peace on the ground in the south. But Samurai please stay away from diminutive statements such as NW to refer to Somaliland. I feel it is rhetoric such as this that might lead to future instability. The next TNG can plan whatever they like as long as they leave Somaliland out of their equation.
  23. lazye girl, nets gettin mashed! what's happenin sis? either way this is a boring finals. Duncan is too soft and the nets can't generate their own offence whitout jason kidd. lazy girl i'm impressed with your NBA knowledge though. I give you 5 stars [ June 10, 2003, 03:21 AM: Message edited by: LANDER ]
  24. Dusty, I think the country as whole need a infusion young talented sisters like moi. Amiin, our country certainly needs us and its future lies in the hands of the younger generation like ourselves. How great of a country it becomes is directly relate to how much effort we put into it. "ask not what your country can do 4 u but what you can do for your country". I Love that quote. We should all live by it. As for the educational system, I think some real progress has been made, I have meet some students who spent a year in a Hargeisa high school. They had nothing but positive things to say, and they seem to be succeeding once they returned here to North America. In the issue of Hawd, please disregard the misinformation being spread by some anti-somaliland patrons. It all amounts to very little fact. I doubt we will ever compromise on that region. I’ve heard of all the fund raising done in the UK for may 18th, and we in North America have recently started such traditions. I hope we can all improve on these noble intentions.
