  1. Is this not what precipitated the rise of Al-Shabaab in the first place ?
  2. Not too long ago there was a Serb doctor on NPR who claimed Radko Mladic was a good man who did not commit crimes in Srebrenica. Also, some think Charles Taylor of Liberia was a decent and peace loving man. Marka, it is understandable if Oba thinks Gen. Caydiid was alright dude.
  3. ^ In any case, my best to Khaatumo state and it's people. I only aspire to move on, and not held back by petty politics and skirmishes. We all shall overcome!
  4. ^ I dhageeso ina adeer, even if we were to go by the logic "one camp started the insult, and the other defended itself," I would be more inclined to think that all insults started with the "Bintyland" comment......just saying yacni.

    Ramadan is..

Can't wait for some major Saum, and believe me, it has nothing to do with the spicy sambuusaas.
  6. ^I do not speak for Faroole, only thought I would pass my opinion as matter factually on Dr. Galeyr's latest.
  7. The former PM, Dr. Galeyr, should be able to make his case of SOMALINIMO or for Khaatumo without having to bring down Puntland. Is it not enough that he tried that once and failed miserably. Folks usually resort to cheap rhetoric when they find themselves losing control of the same situation they create.
  8. May Seeraar and the other victims rest in peace, Ilaahay ha u naxariisto.
  9. Xaaji, Lesson to be learnt here : No man/woman is to banned from there hometown regardless of the prevailing politics of the day. Would you have him not welcomed like Omaar, Buubaa & Ina Xussein Carab ? If we are to claim democracy, we must at least not ignore its basic tenets- Rights of the people & civil rights.

And besides, body size, humongous or petite, is not always directly proportional to waxaa aad sheegeesid. Thank you, Chimera.

  12. Ilaahay janada Fardowsa ha ka waraabiyo Khatra, Ilaahay ha u naxariisto. We are Somalis and "family" is our last name, and I certainly hope folks do not fail those young men.

  15. This Godane person is "mental non-grata." Do not understand how he still remains relevant. Listen to the below, and we should all have good understanding of the person.
  16. I am confused here ? Who is exposed ? AS for having to admit the killings of innocents, or AS for for having to admit the killings of innocents with the help of others ?
  17. The bigger issue should be of his defense of Hafiz Saeed, Saeed causes more divisiveness and bloodshed within Pakistan. He should have been tactful enough, and I am sure he is, to condemn and not support Hafiz Saeed, while blaming Bush and Blair for war crimes.
  18. MMA- Mahadsanid! I get it now, food as in ciyaal elvis. Nice song!
  19. I am proud of them regardless, Hashemites & the non-Hashemites, and the Habros & the Hersies, and all the Xashies & the Xalimoos.
  20. Wax jirra ma aha Oba. The actual story---- Gen. Samatar recommended Col. Sheikh Salax, knowledgeable former colonel in the SNA and the head of Hogaanka Siyaasadda in the SNA. It is also said that the colonel was relieved of his advisory role few months after accepting the position. Samatar fell out with the president after the removal of Gaandhi from the MOD, and then the colonel removal. I think it would be highly unlikely for the good general to submit his name for advisory role, given his health conditions as well.
  21. I am still interested in the "Foot" part of her name, the usually Somali neeynaasyo have stories behind them, wonder what her's is ?
