  2. When is this madness ever going to end? Its really hard to sympathies with the so called "insurgents" when they playing right into the hands of TFG and their allies, risking lives of the innocent caught up amidts this nightmare.
  3. Bokero, there wont be a point visiting these camps empty handed, why not start fundraising events, accumulate enough resource, like flitered bottled water, medicine, tents, beddings, clothes, dried foodand equipments for digging toilets for sanitation reason..etc etc I know we send money to our immediate families, but what about those whom dont have family members in diaspora? So every one at my place, this weekend? dont forget to bring your cheque books, own snacks and drinks..I am not that charitable..
  4. ^^^Loool Che,reminds me of this Somali dude with two wives in Indian, goes to see them twice a year..you can imagine the raaxo!
  5. The parents took a hell of a risk to leave three under 5's alone in a flat. Why couldnt they order a take away like many of us, housebond parents without babysitters?.Their actions was of negligence! I hope they find her, but after 12 days the chances of her being alive are slim. The British love the drama, what a sad bunch of people..hyped about anything and every thing...
  6. Pacifist, Happy Birth day!
  7. Xanthus, let me try sis to translate, but beware some of it will be lost in translation, here goes: He is such a brilliant leader, he should be our ruler, we cant manage without him..zenawi rules! although you didnt see zenawi, he called him in a somali name.. girl am pulling your leg!!
  8. Lool Roobleh, I think all that is old wives tales my dear, am sure it doesnt make a difference who is on top to determined the sex of the unborn child.I believe all that was in Allahs hands, or to do with chrozomes Y and Z? I suspect list was meant to be if your trying for a baby, I heard some of those statements before, they were given as advice on conceiving. Jacaylbaro, when did you do the censors? lol @ 50% , it could be true...

  12. "12. Call your wife with the best names, cute nicknames, names she loves to hear" Definetly not NAYA...I hate that word..not that he will dare  Where can one find a man with that chip of knowledge already installed in them..
  13. Lol@Pink elephant in the living room.. ,Is that what scares you?@Me I contribute in another forum, and the moderators take alot of advantage over post, their views/opinion or the high way,I was expecting a bit more democrasy in here..Nevermind, democrasy is still a very new concept in Somalis.I better shut up, am still an alien..
  14. Rudy, he is a mere human being..lets forgive him for being one...The dude is brilliant, ofcourse he cant be compared to Pele', the old man was an exceptional player!
  15. As I sat to watch the news yesterday,as usual I flick from one news channel to another, seeking the one that is probably alittle bit unbiased.Of course there is non, but some how Al Jazeera almost comes across as Unbiased..Anyways Pakistan Somalia Sudan Afganistan Iraq Iran Turkey etc All those Islamic countries seemed to be in turmoil of some sort, I knew Pakistan wouldnt take long before it found it self on a brick of a civil war... Turkey, seems confused..Giving the EU more reasons to not agree on its joining their Union. Iraq, the countless deaths of civilian is becoming the norm, how is maimed, dying people become the norm? Subhanallah! Sudan, and its hyped Darfur crisis...which endangers the stability of the whole of Sudan..continues Somalia- Aah one can write pages on what has been going on for 17yrs and the current events.. Iran, the west seems to be obsessed, frightened..accusation thrown left and right. Afghanistan, more blood shed, a talaben leader killed, more american solders dead..No stabilty in sight..yet! So are these the signs of the last days? Is there anything else going on in this world but the turmoil in Islamic world? Who is to blame?
  16. Brothers and sisters I have been battling with the concept of how halal are these Halal Morgages? I want to invest in a property, but ofcourse cant afford the whole price and for along time had been pondering on taking a morgage. I have been doing research and had been to the bank, but while the manager was talking, all I could hear was my moms voice, "nayaa waan kuogaa inaa galo galo iskadigtii..hadaa waxaan keentee inaad xaraantaa kudarsatoo".So I really didnt hear much of the ups and downs of Halal Morgages..I know there is Ijara, which sounds ideal.BUT,,, I want to hear your opinion on the matter, and advice. Please enlight the sister!

  20. I dont celebrate Mothers day per say, I make sure I call her every week twice, praise her, thank her for her wisdom, courage, streght and above all her kindness, the lessons she taught me through my life. My most memorable event , will have to be when I was 8,and through what was going on in our lives, I decided to be a selective mute, for a whole 6 months I didnt speak to anyone at home..just send them notes if I had anything to say to anyone..My poor mother was beside her self with worry. One day she made an appointment for me to see a specialist,as we were walking to the doctors, I spoke to her..My mother kneed down next to me, hugged me so hard, tears flowing and all she said, Alhamdulillah! We had a long discussion about why I decided to be mute, she promised she will always make time for her special little girl..Me! My mother God Bless her, she is our ROCK,our CENTRE...Our mother teresa, Magret Thacher, Indira Gandhi,Araweloo all roled into one..My MOTHER.
  21. Oh please Hunguri, Somali is my 4th language hadee , igaa daa daqayadaa... Anyways, what do one call her brother in laws and sister in laws...those married to their sisters and brothers? Hunguri, unfortunate the train left along time ago..
  22. Dabshid,Unfortunately there those whom are weak, and have very low self esteem. They believe you got to fight for what is yours, but in this sort of case, its the one that your fighting for is the one that betrayed you..so why fight for such a person. As I said, I dont usually interfer with family or friends love lives, because I once or twice did,and got my fingures burnt...it only severed my relationships with my dhumashees..so, I observe from a far..lol
  23. ^^^Loool What a sight that would be..Lool Jacaylbaro.
  24. If civil war didnt happen, it would have been my first time stepping foot on Motherland[was a dream once I finished school], so would be my mothers and grandmothers...My folks left somalia in the early 1900 and settled in South Rhodesia now modern Zimbabwe..our journeys through south africa ended on the hills of the rift valleys of the east africa.. But my father came from a nomadic family, and he is back home herding camels, after many years of being a businessman. So I would have been a nomad girl..if only my father didnt trek all the way from Hawd to the highlands of Tanzania..on his way to god knows where!!
