I couldn’t give a rats assss if they served it in pink cups either;the coffee is not gay!. So how come no one said shhhiiit about the numerous faggots & bucths working @starbucks? If I get my coffee in such a cup, I tell the pretty lady, 'Lookie here girl, I aint no 'CHICHIMON', gimme a cup that don’t have that crap!

  4. being the only ones celebrating labor day Actually Goon, its only America that celebrates labor day
  5. It doesn’t? shoot! So, why does every one celebrate 'labour day' on may, instead of like 'labor day' ? Duhhh!
  6. Last year, the national guard was dispatched before the storm even hits. Fidel;Lest you forgot, the National Guard comes directly under the Gov . of a particular state. In the case of Fla, Gov. JB(Jeb Bush), called on his troops who were ready and prepared. The federal Gov.came in later, also the national guard facility was not submerged in water[as was the case in La.].
  7. What's not so clear to me is where Brown is getting the inspiration to strongly protest against the mere mention of manly man! Niyow,i am victim. I have been de 'Manlified',if you will No seriously,i never objected to the concept itself. Merely stating that some men gave up after the feminist put up a fight[a formidable one indeed].I am actually on ur side here. In any event, I politely decline to get on a program the likes of Brown are piloting
  8. ^Shes on shahi, let her be man. It equates manliness with being aggressive, insensitive and heroic Seven!;Wait! ,if this is not manliness then what is manliness?

Ok.You welc.Laakin whats the point of this?. Had it been a forum without 'opinions'and or mods that 'understand' diversity, you wouldnt have entertained the thought? Now if u were not tailgating my good cyber acquintance Miss Athena, u would have at least paid attention to the details. Actually, until she posted,i didnt read that article 'New science of sex' i thought i mustave missed it or some.Besides the pdf file was kinda slow, so you are right, she did 'raise my awareness', But that still doesnt change the fact that it still relates to the topic,no? is that the qualities that have traditionally attributed to "manliness man" are no more. To which i quiped and pondered[Which btw you havent refuted and or subsantiated], That perhaps men just assumed that role and that there were no 'feminist'back then that may have not challenged them enough? as shown by the monkey experiment. And now that the're 'feminist' who are challenging that dominance evrywhere[even in sol ],that perhaps they may have just 'lost' it and or just gave up? Edited:Horta lets take an example of sol here;for instance QacQac & co, they were outpowered by the feminazi(No pun intended you hotties] quadlets of Opi,Xquizit,Athena & Zephy[And Xafsa]. They were challenged, and frankly fed to the dogs. After loosing battle after battle of the sexes here in sol, these men just threw in the towel ,did they loose it?,did they become girlie men? mhmm...food for thought Awoowe berrigaan yaraa gabdhaha si gaara yaa raxmad iyo gacallo loogu muujin jiray. Unfortunatly[fortunatly for some of us] 'berigaad yareed' lama joogo. So get with the programme nooh
  10. ^^LOL@Baashi.Leave Dhuubo alone. Shes now the sole 'Modern woman' in the house. Anyway,Caku you and your Smart topics. Now am forced to fake smartness and use silly words. ARGHH!! Is "manliness" in decline? If the answer is affirmative, what caused this decline? If the answer is negative, how can one explain the rise of "girly men"? Could it Be: 1.That there was never anything as "Manliness" to begin with in the first place. 2.That men just assumedthat title? 3.That many a man followed social trends,so as to be Manly?[To be accepted into society] 4.That the Modern woman[Feminist?] challenged this title, thus making the men "Girlie Men"? 4That,These men who were challenged ended up being 'Girlie Men'[bTW,How large of a group are these folks?] ? Ps.Am basing my "Manly Observations on the below Quote:[ An Emory University study found that an alpha-male monkey had, as expected, high testosterone levels, but that placing him in an environment with hostile females lowered his testosterone levels to those of submissive males NarrowMinded? You betcha! . Hey i fit right in to the main stream Solites[Elites?]
  11. Originally posted by HornAfrique: Honestly black folks are their own worst enemy. We can all be angry at the Bush Administration for their slow action, or inaction for that matter, but African Americans in this country need to have been woken up a loong time ago. Black folks live in a cycle; grandparents lived on welfare, parents raised you on welfare, and you are forcing your kids to be raised on welfare! We can ALL complain about the system, but why depend on the system? If the system is treating so badly, why not free yourself from the social and financial slavery you face under the system? I will not generalize nor stereotype, but African American need to learn school is the only way they can effectively turn the system to their advantage and that has got to start somewhere! Just go to any high school in the continental US and you will see why these people continue to be forced down by a system they partly help in turning against them. We, Somalis, came here largely as immigrants and for the most part live off better then most of African Americans. Our young folks really strive to recieve a higher education, but then again alot of others don't. They are setting theirselves up for just the exact modern slavery African Americans live under. I have no doubt that in a generation or so, Somalis will be living apart from each other across town. Half will be living in public housing projects that their parents, who had no choice in the matter, raised them up in while the other half will be living in the affluent, wealthy part of town simply because they beat the system when they seeked higher education. Anaguna taas ba inoo soo socoto, waxba African Americans yaanu la yaabin. Horn, I’d have to disagree with you on the general analysis you gave out there. What you have said has truth written all over it, but its just part of the problem (Your solution is great, schooling ala all that). It’s not all about welfare. The welfare system in the US is slowly being eradicated in most states, I think there is a limit as to the number of years one can be on welfare, am not sure if that’s the case for Louisiana. Its lack of jobs, criminal records, lack of education and just plain ol discrimination (we are talking about the Deep South here) among many other social issues. How can a young African American get a job (a decent one), if he has a felony on his record? How can a young A.A man get a decent job when he has no education? How can a young AA man get a decent job when he has no role model? What happened to the role model one will ask? Well, he/she is probably in jail, Why is he in jail? Probably for a crime he never committed. When he gets out, who will ever give him a job? What will be of the sons and daughters of such fathers? Everyone wants to better themselves in America, I don’t think its discrimination per se, but it’s something else. I don’t know what it is as I am no social expert. But it’s surely something Americans need to address. If it’s about discrimination am sure no black person would have ever made it in the USA, including immigrants. Obviously there is going to be sociological and psychological effects of slavery, segregation and discrimination on a population that’s 300+ years behind the white folks. It’s a Dominos effect; one cannot entirely blame it on welfare.
  12. No, you will not be called a refugee...One would use the term migrate to describe the above...simply because you Chose to leave...you were not driven out...as the case for a Refugee But i was DRIVEN out of my county? I feared perssucetion from the local gang,i was robbed of my daily belongings  OK this is a weak argument.and also i dont wanna change the topic But,I still refuse the term refugee for the new orleanians. Its demeaning and disparaging term for one to be called a fugee in your own country. Do you agree or not?
  13. An American cannot be called a refugee Absolutly not!.Especially if its their own country. How can one be a refugee in their own country?. This shows you how black folks are not treated as Americans. Pure boloney. Also,if i for instance move from say Baltimore,MD which has a high rate of crime, and i move to say Burlington,Vermont, with a relatively low crime rate; am i considered a refugee?. I ran from violence, torture, drugs and poor lving conditions. Its just malevolent!

  18. but peculiarly bad mothers, neither loved nor respected by their children. Heres a posthumous reply to this puritan & Crank!: I Love my mother[i Love you Hooyo Macaan],i respect my mother. Every somali loves & Respects his/her mother.
  19. Sheh, the scenario is almost the same for every city in America. You would have to look this from the root cause point of view. What you see in N.O is what america is today. It is divided into thhe Haves & the Have nots, irrespective of color. The Poor [blacksLatino & some White] live in government(low income) houses that are barely 15feet about sea level, with poor drainage system. The white(richer people),moved upstream in N.O ,on higher grounds with good drainage system. Money flows "UPSTREAM" to N.O. They built strong houses, great drainage system and good barricades. When N.O was growing, the Richer(white) people moved up the stream. The poor(blacks) Were left behind. When the National Hurricane centre asked people to evacuate, the rich got into their cars and drove away from Katrina. The poor who depend on public transit couldn’t go anywhere. Why? Because someone failed to provide transportation for them. Someone should be held liable.

  25. C'mon Brown Politics section rocks! Baash, I didn’t say the place doesn’t rock. Theres a lot of rocking(back and forth on Gobol,Qabiil and warlords). I have yet to read anything constructive in that section[Proof me Wrong]. It beats me what y'all got to lose if u say what's ur on mind on the real issues of the day (Somali related issues Theres nothing to lose or hide baashi.the People are divided into two camps. Qabyaalad noise makers & Qabyaalad noise makers. A few people have commonsense(Read Bashi ). Runtii there are no issues discussed there. Its personalities(the pres,Mog warlords, wanna be's) and all the evil personalities in the middle. Besides many ppl[i for one at least] can not read those big, complicated and reeallly long news clips from the qabiil leaning websites. It’s a waste of time on my part, and to be quite honest, its all biased[and lies] reporting. I feel left out as i cannot understand the issues discussed[reported],you feel intimidated & even scoffed @ if you ask simple questions like 'Who is so and so'? I read the www.bbcnews.com website and the first place I go to is the africa section, read anything abt somalia. I occasionaly hear bbc laanta af somaliga when my uncle is listening to it. I know enough about the shitss that’s going on there. Its been 15yrs, life goes on. You cannot talk forever about issues that have solutions but ppl[selfish] fail to agree on it. I found a new home in N.America[i love it BTW], my community pretty much looks and feels like Africa. I eat canjeero & Suqaar in the morning, I use cadi to brush my teeth,I eat baris & Hilib Ari in the lunch time, I drink shah casarii &i wear macawis & dacas! I feel home, and I am quite comfortable. Same goes for most people back @home. They moved on with life. Theres nothing to hide or concerned about cyber image. I just gave up!
