  2. Have you read your link? Go back and re-read. 39% 1st cousins and upto 80% are related. ok... 4-6%.... happy?
  3. ^ 5-6% chance means IT HAPPENS to that much of the population. duh. Stop being tedious now n playing with words.
  4. Haddad…are you proving my point? Because it looks that way. With 26 million population, 40% of which are 1st cousins (another 40% somewhat close related) … and 5/6% chance of birth defect = significant risk. 40% of 26,000,000 = 10,400,000 6% of 10,400,000 = 624,000! I would say that’s alarming - from birth defects alone! Half of which can be prevented at least. p.s. All approximations.
  5. Send me the name and the place to send the money to and I'll have my mum do it. Tis heartbreaking.
  6. Animal Farm, you never know really. But what would be the point of bringing together people with strong opposing views? They wouldn’t get past their differences to bring any meaning. SOL get-2-gethers have worked against the forum actually. After meeting, people have formed silly alliances and misplaced loyalties. Bah I say! p.s. None of these points should be used against me, should I decide to show up in one of those meetings. It will entirely depend on my mood mostly.
  7. Aaaaaaaaah …Friday at last. I feel so good today. Really good. Exceedingly Good. Super duper good. I don’t really know why… I have only had 4hrs of sleep and a nightmarish meeting at 9… but its all over now. 2.5 days of doing nothing. No plans. No responsibilities. Nada. Life is good. And so looking forward to the BB FINALE. Makosi to win. (I dont mind Anthony either). I suppose its one or the other, so couldnt be that disappointing. Eugene has already had his share of the cake and the likelihood of Kinga winning are just about the same as me growing wings.
  8. ^LOL. That’s just too funny. I can help but snigger at the name of their ‘morality’ Police – Police for the Promotion of Virtues and Prevention of Vice. What a catchy title eh? KSA’s ultimate quest for the separation of the sexes knows no bounds. I cant even begin to wonder the number of close cousins wedding and how the reshuffling of genes effects the wider society.
  9. Gone-le, I’m in good terms with my weight, my love handles and my jiggling arms and thighs. And I would showcase them any day...any occasion [E].. Tuujiye... I have no idea what 'buujimeyso' means.
  10. 'Arab bashing' is an acceptable mental exercise. . . . . . . . Jokes!
  11. Animal Farm, I’m going to say this is a bad idea. A forum meet-up i.e. Why? Because there is nothing to gain from such a meeting. You write, “promote progressive ideas, brainstorm solutions, and critically analyze prevailing social issues in the Somali community†Isn’t that done in the forum? How is doing it face-2-face better? I would go on to say that people actually feel more free to express themselves on the internet and a fierce debate is less likely to erupt into a fist-frenzy. Besides, nomads are engaged in all sorts of fields and unless it was a ‘specific subject’ meeting, there is nothing more that a biologist could discuss with a beans counter to help or improve their community. Not to mention the likelihood of some1 showing up for the sole purpose of spotting the ones they dont like …. (have you checked the politics section? People actually get threatened.. YIKES!) I also think meet-ups defeat the purpose of foruming. You no longer feel free to express yourself, safe in the knowledge that whoever wants to get offended can get offended or the possibility of future repercussions (Imagine wanting to be Prime Minister and having your evil-online persona exposed!… oh the shame!). I personally find it difficult to address people I’ve met in real life… not to mention effectively gagged in exposing the same people to the weird and unusual workings of my mind. There is also the issue of safety. Its particularly risky for females. I’m more than sure some faarax’s will come with the sole intention of ogling the women (case in point – Tuujiye)….heh.
  12. J n J, R u two having a dig at me? ... I was referring to SOL get-2-gethers..free for all kinda thing..which is what AF is talking about I blv...where you dont know who is coming and who isnt. I dont think I could get comfortable in such a setting. I prefer to know who I'm going to meet and if I actually do want to meet them. You two regulars are making it seem like a bad thing laakiin..its a matter of preference.
  13. There r plenty of SOL meet-ups. Usually behind closed doors.... .... or so I hear On a serious note, I know there have been many (3-4 atleast) meetings where SOL nomads from London met up. I personally didnt go to any.. 'cause its not my thing.
  14. G'morning All Haddad, how is your day? I didnt mean to use your name in the previous post...I just figured mentioning your name would get NGONGE more angry. Foxy, I'm a scorpio too. Its a fairly pleasant day...I'm struggling to write a letter informing my boss of my leaving date...I cant decide if I should leave on the 16th of Sep or 20th of sep...and I'm not sure how to distribute the remaining 6 days holiday? Perhaps take 2 fridays and mondays off and have a long weekend? and then two other fridays? hmmmmmmmm. There is my dilemma today. *7 waves at the one-line-wonder-kid Caano-geel* .. Howdy?
  15. LOL@NG. Maalmahan waalagu wataa. You're too angry. Damn that Haddad must have really got to you!!
  16. Sheherezade, another bad day dear? or are you naturally anti-order and anti-organization? Foxy, you've? Thats nice I suppose.. So who do you think is going to be the next target for his sexual aggression and harassment? [E]... I'm a Scorpio. I sting.
  17. I'm sorry for your loss Stoic. Sabr iyo iimaan. May Allah forgive their sins and may they rest in peace. Its really sad to have to deal with the loss of youth who have everything to live for.
  18. Afro  … how did I forget you? I resent the connection with the dreadful Baro family. We are different -We are organized Fidel, I just asked around and found out its true. . Luckily, even if I get the sack…I’ve 4 weeks left…and then tis back to being a smelly student.
  19. Stoic, SOL aims to provide a platform for people to express themselves.. even emotionally. So bring on the sob stories buds…I’m all ears and a large toilet roll. Foxy… you go girl. Give us something to nibble on.
  20. Good.. now that I've some of your attention, lets set out the agenda. Our mission, should we choose to accept it is to make this the longest thread on SOL. Our objective is to bypass ngonge's boredom one and laugh in his face. Our aim is to have fun, endless, mindless fun. And our pledge, is to stop trolling in every topic. Are you with me people?
  21. By restoring credibility, I dont want to compromise our ‘Troll Jolliness’. Besides, some troll accused me of being a party pooper… ! Now get back from your holiday and start trolling Orgi. Tell aunt 7, how your morning is going so far. Farxan...pretty  .
  22. The deafening silence of my fellow trolls is shattering…. I’ve refreshed my browser twice this morning and there were absolutely no new posts! Zephyrine, Fidel, Orgilaqe, Jacaylbaro, Foxy, Lexy, Stoic, Haddad, Farxan, Northerner, Sheherezade and Animal Farm… this is our spot. Now say something people… How is your morning? Who is feeling ill and who is being forgetful? Who wants to b*tch and who is in love? *Recruiting new trolls too*
  23. This man was awesome. A truly inspirational character. A man of immense talent as a public debator and one of the most humble muslims I've ever seen. I've had the pleasure of watching tapes of some of his debates with Christian preachers and he truly made me proud. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him jannah. Amin.
  24. I don’t mean to be a wet blanket lads (and lasses).. but some of us (including me) have hijacked a lot of topics (however trivial they were) lately. And while this is fun for ‘us’, its just as trivial and annoying to the rest of the readers. Personally, I don’t mind but its nice to be considerate…. Wouldn’t u say? *7 gives the guys flowers and bread crumbs as peace offering* Now lets restore some credibility to the General Section…
