  1. He might not be safe with his masters either. We will see.
  2. Indeed it wouldnt be suprising but he wont be able to outrun his crimes no matter where he goes.
  3. Now that the region has a new president im hearing that iley is fleeing to Kismayo to hide under another criminal Axmed Madoobe.
  4. Gedo can be its own admin&region. It has two rivers, vast lands and if connected with roads it can be a major trading hub. Reer Gedo does not need anyone or anything.
  5. Because Madoobe claims to represent us while he is doing something that we dont approve of or want from him. You dont know what I wish for so dont make assumptions like that.
  6. Who said Boqmadow is from Gedo? Jubbaland proves everyday that its a project that is not in the interest of reer gedo and the upcoming elections will mimic the previous ones with bribes, and intimidations afterall what would one expect from a warlord?
  7. Praying for peace in the north inshallah. There is no winners when brothers fight.
  8. Well I believe something needs to be done and logically its better to fix one place then to try fix everything at the same time. Its minimizing political friction and maximising development basically.
  9. Im not sure about the numbers but Gedo is tribally mixed altough one community have the political power but this would change with a state and fair representation. If MMA is from Gedo then I consider him family aswell.
  10. Sure Gedo is not alone but my focus is on Gedo and with its resources properly managed it could be a different place to what it is today.
  11. It has the same colours but its not the Cuban flag and I know the history of Gedo region but I dont see your point walaal. Noone will care about gedo unless we do it.
  12. As Reer Gedo is hard to watch Gedo region being so underdevoloped and not fully liberated yet from Alshabab and this whole Jubbaland crisis is taking away attention from what really matters in Gedo. Progress and development and these things will not come from Xamar or Kismayo but its up to us make our region better. We should have a autonomous region with its own army, flag and constitution however its coming under the Somali gov umbrella and when it comes to foreign issues Gedo state would allways back the central goverment unlike Madoobe who sided with UAE. Madoobe does not represent me. I dont know if its possible for Gedo state to fit in the current federal constitution but you never know what will happen in the future. Basic info about Gedo. Gedo Region, the second largest region in Somalia, lies on the Somalia borders with Ethiopia and Kenya, and shares borders with four Somali regions of Bay, Bakool and Middle Jubba and Lower Jubba. It has an estimated total population of 590,000. Gedo has six administrative districts: Garbaharey , Baardheere Ceel Waaq in the south and Belet Xaawo, Doloow, and Luuq in the north. Two major rivers run through the region, the Dawa and the Juba. The Dawa River runs along the border of Ethiopia into Somalia’s Gedo region. The Jubba River starts from Doloow, just north of Luuq district, and flows to Buur Dhuubo and Baardheere .
  13. This treatment have been going on for years and its wrong but the difference now its that people seem to think that this is ammo to be used to undermine the goverment. Its no secret that these states have been sending hundreds of people to Ethiopian jails and sadly not many people cares about it.
  14. I think people give this story more credit than it deserves. Most people have forgotten about Qalbi Dhagax but in my opinion it was big error on the gov side. And just making it clear the gov dont concist of two people only.
  15. Wikileaks is goldmine when it comes to information. for example Ghandis fear about a certain clan. Ironically Ghandi and Madoobe played this clan game with the help of foreign armies yet after all this time their efforts have not paid off. Gandi" said that President Sharif fully supports the plan, and that it remains closely held within the TFG. "Gandi" said the offensive must take place before mid-October in order to take advantage of current weather conditions that complicate al-Shabaab's efforts to re-supply through the port of Kismayo. The force in Lower Juba will consist of Darod/Kabalah clan militia but will not include Darod/Marehan militia from the Gedo region. Gandi said Marehan involvement in the effort to take Kismayo would be "horrible" and stated firmly "the Marehan can not go to Kismayo." https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/09NAIROBI1732_a.html
  16. Not suprising at all. This PM is just another puppet as the one before him and the continuation of TPLF policy towards Somalia.
  17. You might not have realized it yet but Somalia is at cross roads. There is no point in having a national goverment if it keeps being undermined.
  18. Im so tired of these never ending political crisis, federal leaders that they think they can ignore the Somali gov and deal with foreign states as they wish. I would say to my people reer Gedo to kick out Madoobe, hold grandconference for all people there and declare independence.
  19. Most of them where very pro Madoobe and the creation of this buffer state so I dont really blame you on having that view.
  20. This was posted on May 19 2013...and you can see my responses in that thread.
  21. Im Dblock and I resisted the creation of this state from the very start and I have made threads here about it aswell. Madoobe presence in the region stands on KDF tanks and nothing more.
  22. A tense of fighting is running high in Somalia's southern port city of Kismayo following the arrest of an opposition lawmaker who lost his immunity last week, Garowe Online reports. Heavily armed soldiers blocked the main streets of the city on Sunday morning and halted public transport and people's movement in protest of the detention of Ahmed Abdi Hassan, known as [Ahmed Tajir]. Last week, Jubbaland Security forces arrested the regional MP barely a day after the state parliament has stripped his immunity over alleged motion against the state cabinet. The mutinous forces cordoned off Fiat prison run by Jubbaland Intelligence Agency in Kismayo, where Ahmed Tajir is currently being held, according to a local security official who spoke to GO on condition of anonymity by phone. The situation has been deteriorating since the arrest of Hassan last Wednesday. He was accused of proposing an impeachment motion against Jubbaland cabinet and President Ahmed Madobe. Sources said more than 5 MPs fled Kismayo after Jubbaland forces began the crackdown on opposition lawmakers working on the motion wanted to oust President Madobe accused of poor leadership and nepotism
