Puntland Education Minister Abdi Farah "Juha" attended the conference alongside other officials from Puntland's Ministry of Education, as well as representatives from UN agencies and the Education Sector Committee, which consists of various donor groups. The education conference was held on Wednesday in Puntland's capital Garowe. The Ministry of Education presented its accomplishments since Mr. Juha became the Education Minister in Jan. 2009, following the election of Puntland's fourth president, Dr. Abdirahman Mohamed "Farole." Minister Juha noted that the Ministry has undertaken major steps, such as introducing a new curriculum in Puntland public schools and establishing close working relationships with agencies interested in the education sector. Further, the Minister said that such a conference used to be held once-a-year in Nairobi, Kenya, where UN agencies that operate in Somalia are based. "This conference is a testament of the accomplishments of our Ministry [of Education]," said Minister Juha. The UNICEF representative, Mr. Matthew Olins, thanked the Ministry of Education for hosting the conference and presenting its accomplishments since the beginning of 2009. The UN representatives requested the Ministry to present the Puntland government's budget allocation for the education sector, while Mr. Olins asked the Ministry officials to "establish a website" where foreign supporting partners can easily access information from Nairobi. Lets deal with facts, Sharif Hotel and his many nice sounding endeavors have brought total devastation to Somalia in general and to his clan supporters in particular. Today he is a laughing stock and the vindicator of the legacy of the Legend from Puntland. Yusuf resignation has emboldened his supporters, new leaders have emerged in Puntland state, and confidence is high within the base both at home and in the Diaspora. Contrast this fact to hapless Sharif and his government, at loggerheads, a man who sold his principles to wear an Armani suit. Yet the most bizarre issue is that Walid Abdalla is outlining the security policy for the TFG. Sharif hotel has not given this target, this goal and its an envoy who is clearly pulling the strengths, holding press conferences on behalf of the Somali government. He even makes offers to the likes of Xasan Dahir that “if they reprent, they can come out of the cold”. This is laughable. Now your whole agenda has failed, you can blame a retired warrior who devastated your clan militia and set your hegemonic day dreams back to the Stone Age. Or you can face facts and start looking for new leaders. From Ali Mahdi, Aydeed, Aydeed Jr, Abdiqasin and Sharif Hotel, one does not have any confidence you will chose any better.

The only problem here is, why we keep falling for the same trick? If you want to solve the issue, you create a national army and not one based on independent clan militia who later on will turn on each other. 5000 militia with 5 different comands who are now fighting Al Shabaab will become, 5 different clan militia fighting over the port and killing civilians. Thus no solution.
