Political, civilian, religious leaders were killed or exiled. Under him the Somali people were brutalized, the siege and rape of Galkacyu, the Jazeera massacre of students, the bombing of Hargaysa and heinous atrocities in NW Somalia. are but a few horrid recorded actions against the people of his regime... The targeting of specific clans not to mention the promotion of simpletons like Abdi Xoosh. The scandal of Fai with Jurile and many many other incidents. Yes corruption was bad under the 9 years of civilian rule. It was institutionalized and taken to dizzying heights under Siyad Barre (AUN), he also added mass murder and silly wars that cost the lives of thousands upon thousands of souls. YeT in all the suffering he built a single road, with the help of the Chinese and Italians.
