  2. Happy independence day people of Somalia, eventhough this day is also a dark day for Somaliland. But its a good day for Somalia, because it gives somalia the strength to continue and hope.
  3. Now its getting interesting for the first time the SFG called for the removal of the Kenyan forces in Public instead of saying it behind doors. This will be interesting will they have what it takes to remove them diplomatically and replace them? What is the interest of the bigger powers sitting in Brussels and Washington how do they view it does Somali legitimacy means something in their eyes.
  4. Somali government wants Kenya Defence Forces out of Kismayo, calls for neutral force Monday, July 01, 2013 Somali government wants Kenya Defence Forces to leave Kismayo and the forces be replaced by a more neutral one. This was after the KDF forces who are under Amisom apparently arrested a commander with the Somalia National Army (SNA) and involvement in violence. “AMISOM Section Two forces purposefully arrested government appointed division 43 SNA commander, Col Abbas Ibrahim Gurey,” deputy minister for information Abdishakur Ali Mire said on Sunday. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office Mogadishu, Somalia said the government regretted the national loss of the three days fighting in Kismayo and called for the replacement of AMISOM Section Two forces to what the minister described “a more neutral African Union force.” Mire claimed AMISOM Section Two forces supported one side of the two fighting functions in violation of their mandate. “We are also informed that there was a targeted offensive against civilians and the SNA command centre in Kismayo by the AMISOM Section Two force, which is unfortunate.” He demanded the establishment and the dispatch of a fact finding mission to assess the situation in Kismayo and called for immediate release of Col Abbas Ibrahim Gure to resume his military duty in the region. He also called for humanitarian intervention to prevent crisis and assist the civilian victims in Kismayo. Kenya has repeatedly denied it is supporting any section in Kismayo. Chief of Defence Forces Gen Julius Karangi downplayed claims the ongoing factional fighting in Kismayo may affect peace and stability in the country and region at large. Gen Karangi said last month the fighting there over power is normal and that the crisis will be solved soon. He said Kenyan troops under Amisom as still in control of much of the affected areas and assured the country there will be no more insecurity. “I want to assure Kenyans that the country is safe and that the small problem in Jubaland will be solved soon. Al-Shabaab is now weakened and they will never come back,” said Gen Karangi. He added a group of leaders from Somalia central government and Jubaland are having talks to solve the differences. He said Kenya was not involved in the election of Ahmed Mohamed Islam, best known as Ahmed Madobe, as the president of the regional state of Jubbaland on May 15. Gen Karangi said the residents of the region held elections on their own and elected Madobe in accordance with their laws. Gen Karangi said Kenyan troops who are under the Amisom still control large parts of the Jubbaland and in particular Kismayo. Karangi was reacting to protests from leaders from Mogadishu who claim Kenyan military is imposing leadership in the region. Gen Karangi said the troops control more than 300,000 square kilometers of the region and that they will leave the country after the African Union orders so. A faction allied to Madobe has been fighting with another local leader who declared himself the regional president, which has left 20 people dead and property destroyed. Karangi said the military in the area would remain neutral about the ongoing political process. Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has indirectly criticised the Kenyan army for not treating well a government committee sent to Kismayo.
  5. Somalis are nomads Pakistanis are not , Somalis will move from north America to an exotic place maybe in South America. One thing i like about Somalis we do not assimilate i know some of my closest family members used to live and work in Saudi Arabia in the late 40s and 50s. But they never changed their ways. Eventually they all returned it depends now Arabia is closer to Home North America is further. But Some how Somalis will always return back home. Somalis are now scattered all over the world because of the war and it is good our youth are now educated and can give back to their communities. One day i am sure a percentage of them will return all that needs to happen is peace and stability and the economy to start thriving And than i am certain many will return.
  6. They are still strongly attached to the homeland that is good, one day we will all return to the mother land and live in our motherland. And if they dont they should still know their ancestral Home land its part of their identity.
  7. Mad Mullah know Somalis share a cultural bond this should remain and exist we have Somalis from NFD here we Somalis from Somali galbeed and we have Somalilanders. Mad Mullah i believe though the days the Koonfurians fully all accept that Somaliland is gone, there will be less Somalilanders on these boards. Than there will be no political conflict any more.. We cannot agree on a country nation nor on politics. But we should stay together in the cultural way. By the way Djiboutians care they are politically more involved in Somalia than Somaliland there are Djiboutian troops in Somalia.
  8. The coast of Somaliland is enough for Somaliland , Somalilanders can build at least 4 ports on its shores there is enough Fish in the sea's of Somaliland for the entire region. Why would we want more tell me its not good to be greedy my friend. Anas bin Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If the son of Adam had a valley full of gold, he would like to have two valleys, for nothing fills his mouth except dust; and Allah forgives him who repents to Him. Saxiix Bukhari”
  9. Wonderful Somalia and Somaliland Eritrea all in the Horn Djibouti uun ba ka maqan
  10. carafaat what is the difference between uganda an kenya
  11. ^^ There is nothing to celebrate there is no Somali unity and Somalia is under the mercy of Uganda Burundi Nigeria siere leone Ethiopia and Kenya, and Alshabaab Lunatics.
  12. Daahir aways will be handed over to the Americans and they will take him to Guantanamo bay
  13. nuune;965465 wrote: But you keep reminding us that Somaliland is neutral and at the same time supporting President Baasto, I think it is time you write only one hand at a time, because both hands are confusing you, one is writing something, the other against that something. I never supported President baasto bal waalida inta leeg eeg or any of the Presidents there. Meeshu wa meel madaxweynaayaal badan adeer.
  14. The conflict was never fair to begin with i have said it from day one that Barre cannot defeat madoobe aslong as the Kenyans are there it is impossible so this was basically expected wabaan sii sheegey. Nothing new Tilamook waxba ha cadhoon:D But Barre might be back there are others saying he might return.
  15. ^^^ Somaliland has nothing to do with this issue , i dont know who abuuna waraabe is ?
  16. ^^ He was in control he chased away much of raskambooni but he was pushed back and later he retreated to his house and let the raskambooni come and than pushed them back again. But raskambooni got reinforcement and assistance from the KDF so they pushed him out eventually. If there were no Kenyans in the game than the conflict would be different. But if Barre joins Alshabaab i dont know if this news is true but than the conflict becomes more complicated. By the way i never said Hiiraale was in control of most of Kismayo where did i say that been ha iga sheegin
  17. ^^ They would probably hand him over oday aways he refused to die as a shahiid now there is a chance he might be shipped to Guantanamo bay cuffed and wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. Allow u sahal Aweys
  18. Now its getting interesting when you thought you heard everything you read this.
  19. Kenya might not officially say they are supporting Raskambooni but raskambooni is their ally they spend over a year in the bush together, the Kenyans have the Military hardware to protect ras kambooni. The Kenyans have a dozen of AMX 10P armored military vehicles and well trained soldiers in and around and Kismayo, They control the port and the airport heavily guarded even if barre hiiraale badly hurts raskambooni there will always be reinforcement from Kenyan defense forces. Somalia is diplomatically not ready to confront Kenya you have seen how quiet the SFG was. And calling for the Amisom to be neutral in the conflict the things is hassan culusow does not control the KDF. they take orders from uhurro Kenyatta its a very difficult situation.
  20. puntnomads;965435 wrote: Xaaji That was my point. Those who cry about Kenya actions are wasting their time. Kenya liberated Kismaayo to give to their RK allies who helped them and they don't recognize other militias. I was laughing when Mogadishu said to AMISOM to treat both warring factions equally. Somali political positions may change at the drop of a hat but Kenya position is consistent. Kenya may actually go to the international community saying other militias are trouble makers and in order to restore the peace they have crush the other militias in Kismaayo. The only way the SFG can change something on the ground is if they send troops to Kismayo who hold part of the city i mean the SFG has no presence some are saying hiiiraale militia are SFG. But the SFG does little to support them. Thats why i believe Kenya is going to stay in Somalia for some time now. Also Somalia is doing nothing to lobby for the removal of the Kenyan troops, or call for their replacement. Somalia is to friendly to Kenya hassan the past 8 months visited Kenya 5 times and nothing has changed.
  21. Puntnomads yes for now Kenya has the upper hand because Somalia does not even control its territory. Also for the west Kenya is more important than Somalia, basically the Kenyans are paid to protect their own security. If hassan and Ahmed madoobe could make a deal than the Kenyan influence in Somalia would be minor. But because hassan and axmed madoobe cannot agree. They play a significant role in Somalia and their opinions weighs higher on the international stage. Kenya is actually playing it very smart now and they just recently got involved inside Somalia.
