  2. Bwino Bwino my sister from bongo;). Anyways we can meet up and have grand samaki with some tropical coconut juice in bahari beach or ras kutani. Now I have been thinking about my trip all day, actually it put me in a grand mood all afternoon just thinking about it.
  3. If I could be anywhere, I would love to go home, swim in the devils pool by the vic fall. As our locals call it "the Smoke that thunders" aka Victoria fall and its paths wind in and out of mist soaked rain forest, opening suddenly into clearings with incredible views. Stand upstream on the banks of the Zambezi, hike down into the gorge. On the Zambian side, watch the sun sink over the river from the comfort of a wicker chair on the beautiful deck at The Royal Livingstone. Relax into this ringside seat, looking out over the Zambezi and plume of spray above the Falls, as zebras wander across the lawns and vervet monkeys play in the trees. If I am brave enough, try once and for all the most daring the world's third-highest bungy jump, and Over the Falls, across the gorge, down the rapids, flying, zipping, plunging, tumbling ... this really is an adventure lover's playground. Ohh I forgot about the thrilling white water rafting down a series of world-class rapids, a real adventure and the safari wild life santuary and all near my home and family. How I would kill to be Home now. http://www.stitch-n-suck.com/Stitch-n-Suck/Filters/Victoria-Falls-2.jpg
  4. Well if you guys want to lose weight I would really advise you to learn about the food nutritions. Zola sweetie I wish you would have told me about you using splenda, Don't use it anymore. A natural sweeter called Stevia and the South Americans and Asian have been using it for centuries. Stevia Read about Stevia and Weight Management here Here I have been using this since Feb and well you have seen the results. Also if you go to a Natural food store, they sell it in powder form. I would not recommend it buying it online because of fake stevia. I recently was also introduced to Flax seeds and Flax Seeds its benefits. It helped lower my blood triglyceride. It tastes like Sisiin. Another thing to add to your diet is Yogi Green Tea Kombucha it detoxifies the body, enhance the immune system, fight fatigue, and soothe an upset stomach. and you can find its benefits and buy it Green tea Kombucha I really recommend this. Losing weight is 70% how your eat and 30% exercise, so make it a life style and When you go to the grocery shop make sure you don't buy that bad food, because when you crave for it, then it won't be there for you to eat. I also really recommend you stay away from all those diet pills that can cause heart damages. Do it the natural way. Visit your nearest Natural Health Food Store and get all those goody organic vegs and fruits. Also make sure you take your Vitamins.

  9. Red Sea that is why you need to get rid of your SUV, am so glad my sister crashed my car, I used to spend $80 in gas a week. Now my little Japanese hoopti works, although nowadays I hardly drive, now I love the Metro bus. Save the environment and get rid of those big SUV.
  10. lool Urban I said it was addictive, Get some sleep dear.
  11. I love this website, actually after watching those videos, I shared this with alot of friends. So tomorrow after my lecture, couple of friends and I are meeting in our University red square for a session of our FIRST Laughing club. We will see how it goes, people think am weird already, because of my hippieness ways. Peace Peace all around, and my message of positive energy all around. Urban I feel you, watching those videos I felt so inspired, that I joined couple of small organizations, one of them being The FOOD NOT BOMBS movement, since I love cooking, I though why not join and every saturday couple of friends and I cook for homeless youth and the local food coop donates grocery, so we spend couple of hours cooking what we have available. Its not hard and its fun. The homeless youth help us cook too. Cooking for peace. Urban you don't have to get stuck, start small and get a couple of your friends and do fun things that can make a difference. It doesn't have to cost money or resources. I always surround myself with people that are active and have a positive energy. I hate negative energy, because it just puts me down and I feel helpless. We are in a era where we most people are in this phase (LETS WAIT AND SEE), that is the problem we can't afford to wait and see what happens, we need to act now. So everyone who is reading this I would like to ask you all to contribute one idea or more of how we can help the people in Somalia (Mogadisho IDP desert CAMPs) who have nothing as you have seen in the DOCUMENTARY DISPLACEMENT. We don't have to feel helpless, we can do something. Thank you for your time.

  13. Pangea Day taps the power of film to strengthen tolerance and compassion while uniting millions of people to build a better future. In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it's easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that — to help people see themselves in others — through the power of film. On May 10, 2008 — Pangea Day — sites in Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai, and Rio de Janeiro will be linked live to produce a program of powerful films, visionary speakers, and uplifting music. The program will be broadcast live to the world through the Internet, television, digital cinemas, and mobile phones. Of course, movies alone can't change the world. But the people who watch them can. So following May 10, 2008, Pangea Day organizers will facilitate community-building activities around the world by connecting inspired viewers with numerous organizations that are already doing groundbreaking work. www.pangeaday.org Check this video out this was my fav Mashallah http://www.pangeaday.org/filmDetail.php?id=73 This is what we need. 14. Bashi thanks for sharing, this is amazing. I have never spent 12 hours in a day watching videos in my life, but when I stambled upon a video about the Palestine/Israel conflict and a video made about it, I was trully blown away. Then I searched more about these video's and I found out that it was one of the main videos shared in the PANGEA DAY. Check it out, you will be blown away with some of the most inspiring videos that are also short videos. 15. Baashi I saw that on the Animal channel since its my sister fav channel. We were both watching it with so much mashallah every minute, but walahi that was something, the lioness mothering the oryx what a sight, She changed the whole game of animal nature, It was so touching, for a minute I wanted to get inside the TV and give the lioness meat and the baby oryx milk,,,even the lady tried but the lioness would not take it, if she didn't hunt it herself. This was indeed a miracle, my sister and I cried with the outcome. She later adopted more antelopes but wow, I am still in shock. The heart of the Lioness Mashallah what a miracle.

  17. Mashallah Kudos to Ayan Hersi. A sister who is making a difference real difference. Makes me so happy to hear these kinds of news. Our lovely Somali sisters all over the world are making remarkable changes. I am going to contact her and try to create a bridge for all those marvelous sisters out there who are real heroes, so we can exchange ideas. With unified ideas and real action,we can even make more changes to Somalia and the world. May Allah grant you all your wishes Ayan and all the other people who are helping the needy. Amin amin ya ALLAH. May Allah
  18. How disapointing!!! how do you expect Somalia to be peaceful, when the leaders of tomorrow are bickering and tit for tatting at each other like this. Do you guys actually know that the kind of mentality that you are using on these boards are being read and acted upon by youngsters. Do you guys have any idea how disapointing and disguisting this whole somali politics talk has become. Walahi all I feel is utter sadness because apparently, The diaspora Somalis are the ones who have had the opportunity to have a great education and skills to go back to Somalia and make a difference, but you can't even get over this bickering and non sense my tribe this your tribe that. Can you imagine the children that were born in the civil war, some of them don't even know their ABC's and if you ask them about the AK 47 they will tell you everything about it. What am saying might fall on deaf ears but please please think before you write. Even if you are joking on these boards for the sake of what ever reason, some where someone will read your comments and actually take something from what you wrote or either act upon it. Put a side your differences because I know you all want a peaceful Somalia. People have suffered more then we can imagine. When you guys can't even agree to disagree on your differences, I really don't know what is expected of those people back home we call leaders. You have already seen what to expect from them. The SYL were young men just like you and from every tribe who came together for the greater good, why can't you guys do that. Focus on the bigger picture not the petty things. This is exactly how your enemies are keeping you occupied, because they using their tactics to divide and rule you. Please think about what I said rise above this petty arguments that don't make you closer to your ultimate goal (PEACE). This is the time for all of us to come together as one, Unite for the greater GOOD. We need to heal our people. The only force that is powerful enough to subvert the force of war is love. War is manufactured and Nationalism is its tool. Think I hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears. Allah Knows best.
  19. As an individual you can save the planet and we need to be aware of what we are doing to our Planet. We need to share beneficial information as much as we can. Its the air you breath to everything else. Its the little changes we can change that can make a huge difference. What we do today will alway make a huge difference to our children and the following generations inshallah. www.storyofstuff.com Please share this information with everyone you can please please. This is our planet and at the rate we are going at we are going to destroy it. Anyways just watch this it explains all. We are using all of our natural resources and big and thriving ecomomies are dumping those waste on third world countries. Thank you for your time. Allah Knows best
  20. Serenity I have a solution for you about the tag photos, on your setting you can set it to where you are the only one and the other person taging you can only view them. No one else can view it if you set it like that. The Good like JB its an easy way to keep in touch with friends, family and classmates. I have recently found long lost friends and people I grew up with. The Bad it can be addictive and I hate the endless invites of applications.
  21. Lily dear mashallah great news and I was just informed on the other good news too. Can't wait am just over the moon. Malika dada how are you? Hope you had a restful weekend too.
  22. When I first heard this, I thought can't be possible He is male and is pregnant and then I was telling my sister, it has to be the most confused people Transgenders. Not even news worthy.
  23. Jimcaale watch the movie its was actually good and with an emotional rollercoaster of feelings. Great story. Baashi I took my nieces to see the play at the Intiman Theatre in dT seattle. I though its a great book love Harper Lee. I though the kids could learn alot of things about it and the set was amazing. Atticus Finch's sense of justice, perseverence and fighting spirit (the way he stood his ground) are most inspiring and touching. Based on what he believes in, he knows he must "do the right thing", all the more since he has 2 young children who look up to him for guidance on the difference between right and wrong. I also loved reading the precious scenes involving Atticus and his children - Atticus is really a "beautiful" person and a perfect role-model of a dad - at once loving and understanding and patience and fair. And what about the mysterious recluse, Arthur Boo Radley who hasn't left his house in years and has become some sort of a terrifying yet intriguing "legend" among the neighbourhood children? Is he really the madman or evil spirit that the children believe him to be. One of the greatest books I have ever read.
  24. Mashallah Mabruuk to LSK family. May Allah make her the one who benefits her family and her diin Amin. Libaax tigger wow what a great name for the little one CG. Babies are Allah best gift to parents walahi. Bundle of joy, and lots of sleepless nights. Blessing LSK
