the hijabis with tight clothing... i think its social pressure... on both sides. someone told em to wear the hijab, and society told them to be feminine, you gotta show yr femininity. however, i think its better than not wearing the hijab, cause at least it identifies them as muslims and in that sense they are more likely to steer clear from haram, cause they know they are representing islam. garab, what was that about aff buran hijabis? i didnt understand the rest of it, bt i felt kinda targetted.

the problem is that this society, in more ways than one, promotes promiscuity and downplays the responsibilities attached to it as well as the importance of marriage. it basically gives kids the idea that a simple contraceptive will absolve them of any responsibility, so they can go ahead and "act" married without "being" married. just today on the metro i saw 2 different ads almost right next to each other, one for condoms and another for birth control. it made me sick. i think most definitely we need to teach them, from an islamic perspective, the responsibilities and heavy sins they are loading upon themselves by conducting themselves in lewd manners, and stress the importance and beauty of chasteness and marital relationships.

the "guy" isnt being punished cause there is no proof that he commited anything. you either need 4 witnesses, or god will simply make it hard for you to conceal yr sin (like pregnancy). in her case, she cant dispute that she had an unlawful relationship with a man, bt for the guy, there needs to be more proof. hwver, if he (the byfriend in the story) is guilty hell surely be punished for it either in this world, the next or both. Allah is most just, most merciful.
