^^ Essian and Ramirez in the same team? With the Nigerian boy behind them and Lampard ahead of them? Aaax ya Chelsea.
  2. ^^ War adigu isku xishow dee oo cantarbaqashkan aad qorayso naga daa, saaxib. We already have to suffer the fact that you're a Chelsea fan don't make us suffer more by saying brainless Walcott is better than Arshavin or that Diaby is anything but a second rate water carrier. Arsenal were good and were actually an improvement on last season. The only thing that let them down in that game was Nasri and Arshavin's fittness (remember that when fit, this guy scored five goals in two games at Anfield). Once Fab returns Arsenal will be scoring goals for fun. The Morrocan boy was making some great runs but bloody Nasri either missed them or was too slow to give him the ball. P.S. Carraghar and Ngong (the hottest striker in Europe at the moment) were Liverpool's men of the match. Stevie G, though playing in his favourite position, was undisciplined and tried to do the Captain Fantastic thing by running all over the place and trying to do the jobs of others, leaving Macherano to do all the running in the middle on his own. P.P.S I still repeat that Almunia is not a bad keeper. He's not world class like Reina or Van Der Saar but he's not that much different (skillwise) than Cech, Hart or the Spurs keeper. His mistake on Sunday (which really nine out of ten keepers would make) was not as bad as Reina (and Reina is the best keeper in the world).
  3. ^^ War dee it's just a mosque. If it were there before or it wasn't makes no big deal. Stop getting worked up over nothing. Wax fahan.
  4. ^^ They had Nasri doing the Fabregas job dee. Once they get their golden boy back everything will fall back into place for them. The defence looks solid and this new striker they bought looks to be up for the challange.

I thought the link was obvious, saaxib. OBAMA! Norf, yours is the chest-beating kind of Islam, saaxib. A mosque is neither here nor there and all the hassle, trouble and resentment caused just to prove a simple point is really disappointing. Wax fahan.
  6. Ah, Liqaye is stacking up the excuses and labels to hide the weakness of his argument(mine is a dhaqancelis ailment, Oodweyne's is some sort of madness, etc). Worse still, he is now trying to give the idea of politics an entire new meaning. Liqaye, no need to give you a long lecture about the meaning of politics. I'll just humour you and play along instead. You say it is clan tactics and I happily accept that label(along with dhaqancelis and whatever else you wish to throw my way). I do because I am in the confident (and yes, SMUG) position of knowing that my project is nearing completion. I mean, after all, my clan tactics has got me full control of Laas Canood (a town populated by another clan – just in case you didn't know). You call that clan tactics, clan oppression or clan domination (whatever mad and pointless new label you choose to use), I and most people in the world call it politics. Pure and simple politics. Play politics, adeer. Change your approach. Shock and awe us or win our hearts and minds. As for the ladder analogy, if you had looked at the list of achievements, you would have noticed that we have been moving the ladder from wall to wall until we eventually get to the right one (all that and without a snake in sight, not even a Riyaale). Wax fahan.
  7. In last season's game when our Greek giant had that crazy come together with Fellani and was sent off, we got better with ten men and beat Everton 1-0. Yesterday's game looked similar (apart from Pepe's Sun-in-the-eye moment). This still looks like Rafa's team and I can't really point to one single thing that Hodgson did differently here. Arsenal are going to get better. Much, much better (and all the rubbish about their keeper is just that, RUBBISH - few keepers would have saved that).
  8. That mosque is not that important when one looks at the Guantanmo trials and how one can go to jail for fourteen years for simply having the misfortune of being the cook of Osama Bin Laden. The whole Mosque idea is pointless from start to finish really.

^^ Liverpool kama hadli kartid until your Russian made team can win eighteen titles and five europeans cups, saaxib. We only talk with United supporters (and even they have not won as much as we did). Anyway, my point was that it was only West Brom. We can't judge Chelsea until they play one of the big teams and win. They met one, they lost. Marka, faanka naga daa adeer.

Norf, you spoke too soon saaxib(both times). To get a point AWAY to Spurs is not a bad thing. City did ok and I suspect they will have better results against the big teams than Spurs will. I still don't think either of these two will finish in the top four. City have a crap manager and Spurs have the champion's league to worry about. P.S. Chelsea will not have an easier game than the one they had today. They'll still challange for the league though (but not sure if they'll win it). Bob, Arsenal have made it clear that they want to buy the Fulham keeper, saaxib. Don't you follow your own team duqa?

Ma waxaa leedahey Attam ama SSC qolodooda waa la gumeystaa. Aduunyoo xaalkaa ba' Disagreements and infighting shan't be construed as a colonial vs aspirations for freedom relationship like in Palestine, Kurdistan/Ethnic, and Somali-Galbeed. Ps. I'm surprised people are deploying many weird assumptions over this conflict in order to score a political point. Af lagaado ma jirto, saaxib. Adiga wax walba dhinca xun ka eega dee. In saying that some Atam's supporters will not agree with Sayid's statement above, I am only repeating what I've read on many pages here in the past (maybe even by you yourself). What is the nature of Atam's disagreement with PL (other than PIS)? What is the nature of the SSC's disagreement with SL? Is it not (in both cases) a fear/worry that the 'other' is after taking over their lands, resources, etc? What else if not gumaysi would one call that? Oodweyne Don't waste time on arguing with Liqaye, saaxib. None of his words there show any signs of an understanding of politics. He lists all the achievements of SL in a negative light yet is still blind enough (and naive enough) to hang on to that old argument of "when the south sorts itself out...."!

^^ City hold the key to so many transfers. Inter were waiting to sell that young boy so that they can use the money to buy Macherano. Now I expect that one to go in the next week or so. When Milner arrives, I also expect City to sell at least eight players. Spurs want to buy someone from Villa, Liverpool want to buy someone from Spurs, West Ham, Stoke, Sunderland, Fulham, Arsenal and even Chelsea all want to buy players but all the road seem to lead back to City and what City would do. Every time City buy a player it results in a flurry of other transfers. But I still don't think City will win the league or even finish in the top three (rubbish manager).
  13. Told you it not the PIS or Atam but rather Faroole who is causing PL all these problems. P.S. Thankful, if you were against Faroole before why the silence now? Isolated Atam (as you say) should not be getting all this attention from you (nor should his supporters, saaxib).
  14. Originally posted by Sayid*Somal: ^Soomaalidu isma gumaysato! Not sure Atam's supporters or those that suffered under the rule of Indhacade or even the SSC crowd would agree with you there. But like I alreaady told A&T above, that's the beauty of politics. Any and every type of argument could be put forward and regardless of the opposing arguments, unless the original one fails and is shelved, it remains as valid as any. If yours is done from a legal point of view, then one could easily wave it away by pointing you in the direction of Iraq and how the Bush hawks found a way to justify their (clearly) illegal invasion. If it is a moral argument about seperating a people that share everything (from the name of a tooth brush to the direction of daily prayers) then one can also point you in the direction of that fighter Jet in the middle of H town and ask you about the morality of remaining in such a union. If, however, it is about nationhood, we need not go too far. This thread gives enough examples. I said to Xiin, Che and a few others and I'll say it to you too, saaxib. To reject SL's plans for nationhood without presenting a viable, tempting and seductive alternative will only strenghthen the resolve of those seeking seperation and increase their mistrust. And, even if such a plan exists, there is a possiblity that it may come too late. This, surely, should be as clear as day to any true unionist.
  15. Previous world cup? Here are the reports of all three group games in the 2006 one: England stuttered to victory in their Group B opener in Frankfurt thanks to a third-minute Paraguay own goal. England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson will be happier with the points than the performance. But England will not complain, and rightly so with their history of making slow starts to major tournaments. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/4852606.stm Peter Crouch and Steven Gerrard spared England's blushes with late goals against Trinidad & Tobago to book their place in the last 16 of the World Cup. It had looked like being a major embarrassment for England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, with his team short on ideas and confidence. They created plenty of chances without ever being in total control of the match and can count themselves fortunate to have got out of jail. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/4853008.stm England will play Ecuador in the last 16 of the World Cup after securing a draw with Sweden to top Group B. It was an improved display from England, but they will be concerned by the way they struggled after the break having dominated the first half. England knew if they could win or draw they would avoid a knock-out encounter with in-form hosts Germany. England were buzzing, Joe Cole and Rooney in particular, and Frank Lampard and Rooney shot just over as England tried to double their lead. But they were hit by a sucker-punch six minutes after the break, as Allback rose all too easily to glance home a Tobias Linderoth corner. Just as England looked like they were on the rack, Joe Cole crossed for Gerrard to nod in at the far post. But they were denied a first win over Sweden since 22 May 1968 when they failed to clear another ball pumped into their box and Larsson pounced to poke home. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/4853282.stm David Beckham became the first England player to score at three World Cups as his free-kick earned a quarter-final tie against Portugal on Saturday. Beckham defied illness to curl home from 30 yards on the hour mark, but England made hard work of Ecuador. Again Eriksson will point to a job done, but again it was an England display which will produce more questions than answers. Playing a 4-1-4-1 formation with Wayne Rooney up front alone, England looked comfortable and clumsy in equal measure on a strange afternoon in Stuttgart. It was a Jekyll and Hyde performance from England - one minute keeping the ball with ease, the next giving it away and inviting pressure on to them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2006/4991536.stm I shall not post bits from the Portugal game, read it at your leisure. In 2002, they played rubbish against Sweden, did ok against Argentina and didn't bother against Nigeria. In the round of sixteen, they met and beat mighty Denmark. In the quarter finals, they lost to Brazil. In 98, they finished second in their group after losing to Romania (remember the former Chelsea full back scoring that goal against them? Tuujiye didn't support Chelsea back then). In the second round, they lost to Argentina on penalties. They didn't qualify in 1994 as I'm sure you remember Graham Taylor's rubbish team back then. But they did in 1990 and struggled in the group stages then met easy teams in both the round of sixteen and the quarters (I mean Belgium? Cameroon?) and when they met the Germans, they lost like they always do. This year, they had the misfortune of meeting the Germans early on.

Abdullahi Yusuf does not have a British passport, stop sounding desperate old boy. I'm sure I've read it somewhere on SOL. Or maybe it was in one of the London meetings he had when he was president. Shall I do a proper search Duke?
  17. Yes I did. It was against a rubbish team and there was nothing at stake (other than the manager's reputation). I still insist that England would have faced the same outcome with or without Capello's mistakes. War raggo waa wada fulayaal dee.
  18. ^^ Would have still lost to Germany. England's problem has never been about plans and tactics, saaxib. They 'ave no bottle.
  19. His ideas are good and interesting for him and him alone. His political agenda here is clear; he is against the TPLF and would support any (TPLF) opposing groups as long as their ideas don't veer widely from his own. Therefore, you and I are on the same side here. That is the beauty of politics, saaxib. It throws up the strangest of bedfellows.
  20. Of the above four political positions and persuasions, the first and the last are, in my view, more ideological than practical political propositions. I say this not because of a total rejection of the validity of their claim, although there is quite a bit in their respective positions that are intellectually disagreeable. A selective reading of history that exaggerates their own claim while totally ignoring or rejecting relevant history that counters their position is a very common feature of these groups. Instead, it is their limited practical value in resolving the political conflict that reduces their practical import. Their fixation with history and their unwillingness to look forward; their inability to empathize with the concerns of the other and their almost total obsession with their own pain make it very difficult to find common ground for solving contemporary, practical and urgent political problems. Their willingness to sacrifice the interest of the current and future generations for the purpose of settling historical scores; their almost religious like certainty about the rightness of their positions and their unwillingness to entertain solutions less than their ideologically defined optimum prohibits a rational give and take politics that the time requires. A politics dominated by such extremes will never lead to an amicable solution. Since my ultimate concern in this paper is to outline the possible route for constructing a more peaceful, tolerant and free political community in Ethiopia, I will not spend time in analyzing these extreme positions. Even though the author is talking about ONLF (and other groups), it still reminds me of A&T talking about SL. Oh the irony, the irony.

  24. ^^ Our keeper has seventeen clean sheets, saaxib. Exactly the same number the Chelsea keeper got. War dee kubbad ban ka hadlayna, not what you and Norf watch.
  25. ^^ Last season, Chelsea conceded more goals than Man U (32 to 28) but scored more goals than anyone else. Marka, in answer to your question: Man U ayaa ka difaac fiican. Kubbada baro.
