  1. ^^ You and your Ethiopian nightmares. Doubt there is any truth to an actual rift, Nasir (war magaca badal). At best it can only be a tiff. Siilaanyo has not spent all that time trying to get this job only to lose it because of some moral compulsions or crazy ideals (it's all about the chair). He'll rebuff Melez in areas that he can but he is not going to fall out with his biggest ally in the region (not unless he knows something we don't).
  2. ^^ Be specific with your title. It's "Islamist/pan-Somalist", if you don't mind.

Markaan difaaco, waxa kaliyaa aan ku idhaahda 'kaafir, zandeeq, etc' kadaa. Ku ma odhan waa nin fiican. gabayga wuxuu ahaa xaga 'diinta online'.

Bring it on. Our 25 man squad does not look that bad. I don't think Chelsea, Arsenal or City have eight Englishmen in their first team squad. Spurs will struggle to trim their team to 25 too. Things, suddenly, don't look that bad. With the close of the transfer window, all Premier League clubs are now required to submit their 25 man squads. Each squad must include 8 homegrown players, and thus a maximum of 17 foreign players over the age of 21. Liverpool, though, do not have enough players to actually name 25 players on their list. Homegrown Players: (8) Carragher Cole Darby Gerrard Johnson Jones Konchesky Spearing Non-Homegrown Players: (14) Agger Aurelio Babel Itandje Jovanovic Kyrgiakos Kuyt Lucas Maxi Meireles Poulsen Reina Skrtel Torres Youngsters: Players born after 1/1/89 and thus are unlimited in the squad and not required to be named in the 25 man list. Amoo Ayala Bouzanis Bruna Eccleston Gulacsi Hansen Ince Irwin Kelly Mavinga Ngog Pacheco Palsson Robinson Shelvey Wilson
  9. ^^ That communist was having a sly dig, I hope you're not.
  10. Thankful, if I did give my reasoning (and after our recent discussions) I am afraid that it would be wasted on you, saaxib. You will ONLY go looking for the SL angle in my reply. At any rate, Nassir's quote from the piece (above) is enough to show you it is total nonesense. You know and I know that the so called "clan-based regional states" were not hastily formed (in fact, in the case of PL it took eight years or so). You also know that a "national dialogue" in the case is just nonsensical (did the people of PL have to conduct a dialogue with the people of Merca before creating Puntland, for example? ). The author has beef with both PL & SL but, from his words and the feel of it all (and despite the agreement of Nassir) I don't think he's a Galgala boy. It's more like that NSPPUUPP(or whatever it was) nonesense. Haye, ma wadaa?
  11. Originally posted by Ferguson: I heard that word many times, horta caadi maha, stands for what, literally? Exactly what the poster describes I guess. Caadi Adjective Old Arabic Normal; usual; ordinary Ma Adverb Used to express denial or refusal; Not Aha Verb To be; To exist; To remain in the same state I don't believe a word of this story but it's Ramadan and I'm feeling dizzy. Talk to the kid, saaxib. Talk to the kid.
  12. One judges things according to whatever little logic one possesses, conventional wisdom or past experiences. Hippies with flowers in their hair should step out of this thread (there is no argument to be had here). As for the rest, regardless of your levels of emotion (with Maaddeey being a ten and Prometheus being a five), I suggest you all calm down and think a little about wasting time on this pointless issue. I have not watched the clip because I cannot access it at work. However, the title of the thread tells me all I need to know about the subject. I have listened to and prayed behind countless sheikhs that made similar (or more severe) ducas. It is nothing new nor is it controversial for a Muslim. In fact, on occasion, I found myself making similar ducas in moments of hopeless despair at the various transgressions in the world (I trust many of you did the same with Al Shabab, TFG or Faroole ). But is this really THAT much of a shock? Do you not run to the police when you're assaulted or robbed? Does a child not run to its parents when it feels hard done by or abused? Does a believer not seek the mercy and assistance of his creator when feeling oppressed, exploited and depressed? The sheikh there is having a private moment with his lord. Though the duca is done publically and the congregation/listeners may all say AMEEN, the intentions of the sheikh and each and every one of those listening might not all correspond. One may mean "those Americans that are killing and fighting us", another may mean "our enemies whoever they may be" and a third may mean "every last non Muslim in god's earth". It is an assumption of course, but I strongly doubt the sheikh's meaning is that last one. I am led to think in such a (generous) way due to what I know (understand) about an average sheikh's education, learning and training. In addition, and returning to the conventional wisdom I spoke about earlier, cursing the enemies of the Muslims (by nationality, faith and origin) has always been the case with many sheikhs. Yet, they would (on the whole) advocate the good treatment of people of other faiths (like in Muslim countries with sizable Christian/Jewish minorities) and specify, when asked, that their targets were only those that fight/kill Muslims. I said earlier that this is a non issue because I expected that most people knew (and were sure) of such a thing. Furthermore, even those that did not know but chose to claim the higher moral ground would have appeared much more dignified had they extended the sheikh the benefit of the doubt rather than lobbing accusations from their rickety towers. As for the xamaasad crew; may Allah soothe their hearts and save us from their hasty and endless fitna. Naga daaya dee.
  13. ^^ Adigu waliga dagaal uun ku jir. Caalimkaad sheegayso Maadeey ayaa halkan dhigay oo dadkan albaabka o furay (on something that happened years ago). Stuff and nonesense I say and you should too (unless you suffer from the xamaasad disease). This is a non topic, saaxib. Don't make it one.
  14. Wasn't Red Sea supposed to be married this August? Or is this the Red Sea that came back after the first Red Sea (or is that the second) used his name for a few months. Which one became a father again?
  15. ^^ Barca is the Spainish national side (less Alonso and Torres), of course Villa fits. I agree about Mourniho but I think he'll pull it off (he has far too many good and hardworking players in that squad). I even think he'll get the team to play stylish football this time.
  16. ^^ The whole team lost the ball. But how many times (and games) has Kuyt provided such assits and goals in the past? I watch, I don't think YOU do. p.s. Stoke want Lucas; Hodgson wants twenty million.
  17. Liverpool Man U Arsenal Chelsea (In all honesty, the prediction game should not start until December).
  18. Barca played really well in their game and Villa scored on his debut. But could they keep it up for an entire season again? Madrid looked rubbish in the first half but improved when the two german boys came on. Sami K looks like the perfect fit for Jose. Madrid are already two point behind (but I back them to win the league this year).
  19. Norf Kuyt set up the goal on Sunday. Hodgson played with two holding midfielders (something that you blamed Rafa for). Lucas played and Roy played 4-5-1 (which he should have done against City) AT HOME! Anyway, now that we bought Meireles I suspect that Hodgson will play him alongside Lucas/Poulson in the middle and use Gerard behind Torres. P.S. Mach will not be missed if Roy sorts himself out(which is something that actually worries me).
  20. I fully agree with Mr Goth. As soon as the country is recognised, I will be one of the first that supports a unionist party and objects to the arrest of returning TFG MPs.
  21. Oh Thankful, you truly disappoint me, saaxib. You truly do. I expected you to have a tad more sense than this but since you believe an online argument has the power to bring PL down, I think I shall leave you alone to your world of paranoia. Mr Somalia, This type of talk is only said to one you really know. Otherwise you may commit the cardinal sin of asking your in-law to feel shame infront of his other in-laws. Wax fahan.
  22. ^^ You're as paranoid as a chicken with a bag tied to its legs. Hadal cad baan kuu qoray, secessionist or yehoodi does not matter here. Ma khalad baan sheegay? As for PL, you are wrong. I admired Abdullahi Yusuf because of what other considered to be his shortcomings. I had no opinion on Cade but I strongly despise Faroole. I am not one dimensional, saaxib. I believe I am cultured enough to respect and admire people even if there is a history of conflict between us. Alas, I fear you are so entrenched in your defence of PL that simple common sense could never break through your stubborn defences. P.S. Even if it is as you say, I blame you for giving me such an opportunity. Wax fahan.
