    Prior to latest events, the Somaliland Army never even crossed paths with the locals. The local never even knew there was a huge army just stone throw's from the town.

    What took place in the North before 1988, can be classified as genocide. What took place during the 1988 can be classified as ethnic cleansing. The Gov't left no stone unturned to exterminate a whole clan.  

    If 1% of what happened 1988 took place in Sool region, then the army is guilty as charged. 

     

     

    You have not answered my question was Siyad right to bomb Hargeisa and Burco to flash out what he considered a rebel and danger to the state? Don't digress.

    I saw demonstrations in Burco about a little girl who is apparently a YouTuber and has been infuriating the secessionists. Now this militia soldiers are complaining about her and want to bomb mosques because of her kkkkk. It says a lot about psyche and temperaments of the secessionists.

In the end the death tall will take its toll and you will see fragmentation similar to the one we saw few days ago.

    Like I said, there has not been any major conflict so far. The Army's approach is softly softly and its aim is not to kill anyone but to force the Garaads to come to the negotiations table. 

    If Army's brief included destroying the town, it has the capability, it can bombard the town night and day 24/7. At the moment, the army is only sending messages to the Garaads to come to the table.

    Something does not add up. What was he doing Mudug so far away from frontline. The Yagoori corridor where Somaliland logistics pass could be another frontline that would be a game changer in this war.

    With regards to the photos you mentioned. Truth is the first causality of conflict and certainly that also holds true here. The clan melitia and terror sidekick have nothing else going for them but to exaggerate everything and photoshop or whatever it takes. I don't blame them, because that is how they can sustain the momentum.   

    The photos that still circulating among the melitia's media outlets including Signal/Telegram/WhatsApp are from the early days of the conflict. The deadliest day was the 2nd day when formerly friendly local clan melitia surprised the army and killed more than 20 soldiers. That is the only day the army left dead bodies on the field. 

     

    The pictures I saw were not few days ago and  certainly were different from the ones I saw in the first two days. The truth be told infantry wise Somaliland are vulnerable. The only thing that is going for you are the big artillery weapons and technicals that you got from Djibouti and those can only go so far. The longer this war goes on and you do not get result you want ( capturing Laascaanood), the lesser the chance of holding on to the rest of Sool. If there is another frontline in Tukaraq that would even be harder for you to hold on both frontlines. In the next few days I am predicting that Muse would vacate one of the frontlines to put up any fight.

    It is not the locals that are preventing voter registration. It is small nasty group called Aaran Jaan who likes to pull the strings behind the curtain to gain economical gains. I would have Dani any day than this group. They did not want to have their own political party because it is against their philosophy of our way or the high way.

    If the plan is to play spoiler, then I think you are in for a rude awakening. The time for spoilers is long gone. It is in my opinion that Puntland has chewed this time more than it could swallow. 

    HSM has pacified the Mogadishu Clans - the main problem for any leader in Mogadishu. If he continues that path, he surely will do a lot of changes to South Somalia. 

     

     

     

     

    Nothing new here sxb. As I told before, time to time when those in villa Somalia become dictatorial and try to grab power, the mother comes in and stops her children on their tracks  from misbehavng, a case in point the political novices Farmaajo & Fahad thought they could sideline Puntland and do as they pleased but they failed miserably. Before them this same Hassan and Sharif thought they could have their way but the mother always kept them on check! HSM knows he is wasting his time by trying to sideline Puntland, and I know he will come round in no time. What he is doing right now is just posturing and trying to negotiate from high bar so that he meets in the middle ground. That is one of his objectives. The other objective for him is to consolidate his power over the weak and inept states in the South central first, get them to sign and agree to a centralised power agreement that is just federal by name. He knows these states mostly are not economically viable and they already rely on the federal government on security, education, health and on monthly hand-outs. Puntland has a head-start and has working government institutions that are well ahead even the federal government. Big and important infrastructures are taking shape and diaspora are investing in the country. The state has one of the most resourceful people in the country and could use them in its advantage anytime need be. So comparing the mother to the secessionists junta who have no strategic foresight other than digging graves and wailing to the international community every time the going gets tough is an insult my brother. Puntland has an agenda to push and pull when and where it wants so that country could be saved from unruly and intoxicated lots. You just watch and keep commenting 😂
