    I remember this project stalling because of the a clan there objecting to it. Good to see that it seems now to be taking off.

    You making your opinion and how you see things as "facts", but it is just your opinion and I respect that. Remember we differed on on Farmaajo too where you thought he was a Somali hero and saviour, whereas I thought he was a mistake and unfit for presidency!

    Over 30 years and we still have not learned our lesson. I hear Madaale is a good guy who is incorruptible. I will have him as a mayor any day instead of my mischievous and corrupt cousin. But our Somali psyche have not reached there yet. Bal dadkaan ma waxaa u daran boqolaal qof ee maalin walba Alshabaab laynayso mise nin magac uyaal ah ay isku qabiil yihiin?     From what I got this he is saying in a long and incoherent African English: Other countries can give you whatever but it is never enough. You need Somali soldiers who are willing to fight for their country and for their freedom and not for a salary that you beg from other countries. He even gave an example of a father and his sons that their home have been attacked . They will fight to defend and die for their honour.

    He is encouraging for a Somali initiative to defeat Al Shabaab. Marka Soomaaliyeey fudeydka iska daaya oo hadalka dhuuxa.

    And in a way he is right. Wallaahi I am sure if Al Shabaab were most militant and bravest clan they would have been defeated within months. I believe Somali tribalism was made in the North and it is badly practised in South these days. Everything is about clan in the deep South. Waxaam maqli jiray dadka oo dhaha ciyaal Xamar qabiil bartay aduunka wax ka xun maleh. It is becoming true. With all the killing, bombings, and destruction caused by Al Shabaab, still people don't care much about it but they care about what Qabiil got what position in the government?? Bal what use it is to me if a clan fellow became a minister? If all of them are brothers and sisters but they are competent and capable would be 1000 times better than having close family member who is good for nothing.

    We need to move on from this psyche of where someone is from. Rather let us focus on their merits and what they can bring to the table. We must be  the only humans on earth who do not learn from their sufferings and repeat the same failed projects.

    Thanks for wishing us good luck! That must be the best thing you said today 😀. But your second line shows the joke you are!! Who is talking about Somalia's status quo and what is that got to do with a regional state striving for development, peace and tranquility? If anything it is inspires others to believe in them-self and do better things for their regions, states and ultimately to the whole country. Marka, I still have hope in you change your ways and wish well for your brothers. Criticise politicians and even clan domination all you want but coming here belittling other's progress, calling names, wishing for bad omens and trying to play clans against each other is not good and does not help anyone.

    In Puntland the SSDF reached a roadblock and  they are happy to maintaining the status quo  for now but the time will not allowed them to maintain the cast system. Boosaaso is already in edge and when garacad port open it will lose customers to Garacad.  Politicaly puntland is unstable inside and will be replaced by Jubaland politically and economically.

    First of all this is not a hate or love thing. This is a discussions about news and economic performance of Puntland.  As you know Deni hiimself recently declared that Puntland's Budget is in the red by at least 15%. So this is not something we are just making up, but rather a reality. 

    We cannot ignore it as it is something that is out there for anyone to talk about it. 

    In my post earlier I talked about some of the factors that are the root causes of Puntland's economic woes. These factors, some of which are shared across the region, but most of the factors are more pronounced in Puntland's case. 

    It needs to be explained why Puntland is 15% in the red, while Mogadishu's Budget and Somaliland's budget are both in the black by at least 8% and 13% respectively. 

    The other FMS like Galmudug, Jubaland and South West are insignificant to be mentioned here, as their economy is too small and their productivity is next to zero. 

    I am not hating just discussing. Happy to discuss with you on anything related to Somaliland. Just not low ball very lame issue like a jouranlist getting arrested. These are insignificant in the grand scheme of issues. 

     

    Btw, this is an example of the "Economy of scale" I am talking about. One of the largest Oil tankers is going to dock at Berbera Oil Terminal in the next few days. This is the competitive advantage of having the infrastructure to buy large amount of the product so you get cheaper per the barrel equivalent when compared to sourcing from Oman or UAE.. 

    What this means, is that, the days when both Puntland and Somaliland businesses sourced their products from the same markets and only managed to make profits on the delivery of those products to the market, those days are gone. Somaliland businesses are sourcing their products from around the world at competitive prices in large quantities.

    Sxb don't waste your time on this silly 'my ass is bigger than yours' thing.On the ground we have poverty stricken people looking for real change in their livelihood. This bravado does not help them with anything. At the end of the day the  measure is how many roads have you paved? How many hospitals you constructed? How many wells you dug? How many children you provided free school for? How much did you increase export, foreign investment and as result increased employment? Bal noo sheeg waxa Biixi government done all about these. Importing more and from far wide will only increase your trade deficit creating more problems than existed before as you are taking more money than you bring in.

    We can not move from Farmaajo because you and many other supporters of his have been using him as your stick to measure every movement of Hassan. So what I am saying is that if you did not criticise Farmaajo for Uhuru not meeting him at the airport, how fair it is for you to criticise Hassan for that?

Puntland people they did not stop for these people and they contineud and now, look where Garacad port is and Hobyo port is.  

    Hate never pays but it hurts his man. They can hate all they want but Puntlanders have known their jealousy especially from the wax ma qabsadayaasha D-block. Makhiri claims to be from Sanaag Allahu Yaclam, the only project that has ever been implemented in that region is the highway from El-Dahir & Erigavo. It is funded by Puntland people and its government. To this day school children across Puntalnd pay a $2 dollar levy earmarked for the construction of that high way which I must say is a good gesture to stand with their brothers. No government even Siyad Barre's strong government have ever done anything substantial in that region. The high way is now taking shape:
