  1. Allahu naxariisto to her dad. And masha'Allah for all the work she and her mother are doing. I told my mother about her, and she said she knew her dad, and that one of my cousins, wiil ilmo adeer aa nahay, saw when he was killed. Subhanallah.

I guess that's one thing you learn there as well, how to effectively steal a bike (not that I would know, I was always the victim)

I thought you said to me you were <10 What's this all about? Bal, talk yourself out of this

  10. I was born in 1990 in Mogadishu, raised there till I was 5 years of age, then travalled through Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia. I came to Holland in 1997, by that time I was already 6 years old. I've lived in Holland for 13 years, until I recently moved to the UK in 2010. I speak Somali, Dutch and English fluently. And a little bit of Deutsch and French on the side, lool.
  11. I have some guys friends. But I don't hang with them outside the usual environment I see them in. But personally, I find it inappropriate to hang with the opposite sex, single or not.
  12. Dutch-Somali-English > in this particularly order, mixed.
  13. lool, dude have you seen the stack they have. Well prepared, all nighter
  14. Asalaamu Alaykum Aaliyyah! Long no time no speak! Hope you're still doing well Yes, I do agree, at some point you do have to focus more on your family and put your career aside.
  15. LOL what is happening here? Why can't women have both? A successful career and their own family? I find it really strange why it has to be one of the above.
  16. I only say aboowe to my actual brothers and (male) cousins and abaayo for most Somali sisters. Macaan & Qalbi for one specific person. P.s. I hate using walaal, it sounds so, qofka inaad iska fogeyneysid. Impersonal.
  17. I read about this on twitter yesterday, and was beyond shocked and at the same time somehow not surprised. Drunk muslims disgusts me, whether they're Somali or not.
  18. Lol, thanks Juxa, JB and KK =D I shall enjoy and appreciate insha'Allah. I love Tuesdays. My day off I wish I could say this day was productive, but with the fasting and all I felt sleepy all day lol
  19. Hellooo Solers, Hope everyone's okay. I haven't been here in ages!! I'm feeling good alhamdulilah. Today is my 21st birthday and everyone keeps telling me that I'm getting old, and such a 'big girl' now. Hmm, can't say I feel any different from yesterday though lol
  20. When does the New year start exactly? Saturday or Sunday?
  21. I heard you're not allowed to say Jummah Mubarak, can't remember the reason though. Anyways, I'm grateful that I woke up this morning and blessed with another day, alhamdulilah - count your blessings.
