The Somali shilling has lost ALL looks and feel of money, it is so old and just crazy it is used anywhere still. In burco last week,carrying the Somali shilling is like carrying a bag of boo around. I'm so glad to hear they are changing, however I am worried about the implications for villages/ tuulos who wont get the new Somaliland currency and their old currency will be of no use. Burco traders from the other side will also run into some difficulties. This is not Silaanyos doing, this is the markets doing, the Somali shilling has reached the stage where it cannot be used at all, wye gogesa and the smell alone can kill you.

Bus rides are so funny, but evening ones are full of men and it makes me a little nerves. lol Juxa they need your kind of lawyers here :eek: Blessed what we discussed should be done in Burco NOT Hargeisa, burco has untapped, untamed, not helped, do it yourself attitude which I so love as it can foster sustained progress and the need is more urgent in Burco for all services.

LOOOOOL I'm not sure about that, but I have noticed that because others sleep through the day, they are awake and fresh at 11pm, while I'm dead shut down by 7pm. In fact I went to sleep at 8.30pm last night, earliest ever for me I think!

^W salam; Hello Juxa, even a harder worker like here is still sleeping 4am UK time When I was in the UK, I thought starting work at 6am was nuts! but when the sun starts shining on your face at 5am, it seems perfectly natural. Still dont get the whole go home, sleep and come back in the afternoon thing though, if I go home I aint coming back :eek:

I must say Safari hotel is errrm clean, full of mosquito, beds as hard as a table, kitchen does not open till 7am (so I've been going work with no tea) :ekk: but it is a really nice and clean place. It is full of mostly men waadaads and I felt a little out of place but also safe. Charming people at the desk. Overall very good experience and I would stay there again. Summer time is eeerm a 30min wait for a waiter, 30mins wait for him to forget the order and come and ask you again and another 30mins for it to arrive and the bill arrives 10mins after that. However they have a good reer burco dude in management who can if I show my red teeth speedy it along a little. Mansoor hotel food is standard, I aint been to Ambassador yet. I have seen few westerners, but the locals are just as messed up, most of the guys are high on jaad (I see people chewing or buying qaad at 8am) :eek: and the women are very dressed up for walking on rocks/dusty roads. I have seen some nice, funny and hilarious locals and returnees and very welcoming elderly people. IT is calmer and less energy than Burco but people do still ask lots of questions. :eek:

Naxar, the fact of the matter is Dahabshill does not need to answer such allegations because his business is still OPEN and running in SSC despite the conflict, simple because normal people see the difference between a business and someone's clan. Dahabshill is in every Somali city and Some villages and many none-Somali places. Of course there are always people who are going to be upset about who or what you are but it would be silly to expect a company to entertain such sillyness. In any case they would just seem defensive, and you only need to defend yourself if you have a guilt conscious.
