Frankincense is only found in northern Somalia, Yemen and Oman. The production and trade of frankincense and myrrh have a long history in the Horn region, and some of you may be familiar with Queen Hatshepsut's voyage to the "Land of Punt" for these prized aromatic resins. Found in all Somali regions including NFD, many species of Boswelia found in dry areas not just northern Somali, Oman and Yemen.

Also u seem to be neurotic, insecure, plagued by self-doubts and jealousy, suffer from bouts of mild depression, hieghtened sense of self-importance, strong desire for power, fame and wealth. Ur weaknesses are emotional in nature. Also, it seems u are sociable and gregarious when in the right company, but standoffish and aloof when not. Oh my! We have a resident psychologist in the house! Most of what you have said though is true of people with a desire to communicate - like all SOLers i'd argue, a bit of narcissism...

I just read a book set in Ceel Afwayne and Sheikh back in the colonial days - amazing. Was tempered to post you several quotations but unfortunately it was not on a kindle but a hard copy. Pray, and how will you stop Haatu from posting a pink nigis on the new thread? Pun intended, nigis is made from thread no? Looks y'all folks have been depressed since I was away... 19. ^ What do you think your dreams mean? Have you asked the learned to interpret them for you? I am curious to know what they thought. I once saw my brother in a dream buying a suit and I was told "don't repeat that because new clothes in a dream means death" and someone else interpreted the new clothes as "either a new wife or wealth".... Well - he is still alive, he has not married a new wife neither has he become a billionaire...dude's still the same!

  22. ^ Xaaji you keep sayin "the state is an alien concept to Somalis" - of course it is, as it is to many many other peoples in the world. There was hardly any concept of the nation-state before European colonization in many countries in Africa and Asia. Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, etc are as much artificial as any other "modern" nation-state. What is undeniable is that the Somali identity is not artificial. When Richard Burton first set foot in Seylac in the 1840s as the first European to do so he clearly says he met "Somalis" just like out grandfathers in all the Somali regions were and are Somalis. The Izaks might have told him they were Habar Eunice and Habar Lover and Habar this and that, but there was no doubt as to their Somaliness. Am a bit confused by your arguments bro...You can argue that we are one nation, but don't have to have one state - we can have many states, fair enough. But make no mistake - the Somali NATION IS NOT A FIGMENT OF ANYONE"S IMAGINATION. It existed and shall continue to exist just like the Jews were scattered thru the 4 corners of the world, so are we - but we ARE a Somali NATION goddammit!!!
