  1. Guys, do not put fuel to the fire Trump and company are trying to ignite. In fact, Turkey is one if he few countries that are prepared for economic attacks, because, they were always expected to come. The Turkish election supposed to be held in the fall of 2019, and their enemies were preparing many stacks including currency and fueling of internal dissent. Erdogan and his party preempted the plan and held the election last June with solid majority. In terms of economy, they are growing faster than others. Their export is up double digits, tourism industry and visitors are up 20%, manufacturing and auto export are up. Almost every economic indicators are strong.as a daily follower of Turkis political and economic activity, every thing is up including weapon exports . They are taking over huge Americans exclusive industries like weapons export. They just signed billions worth of attack Helicopter deals with Pakistan, armed Deones and vehicles to Central Asia and Africa.Their domestic airline had carried 21% more people than last year. For the first time half million Chinese are visiting. Chines banks are financing billions of dollar projects. Furthermore, their biggest advantage is that their debt to GFP ration is the lowest in Europe, much lower than even Germany. Italy , Spain , Portugal and other big economies of Europe are suffering with 25% youth unemployment, and their dept to GDP ratio is 180% or more. Of course, their currency have been under attack for months and evil Gulf boys are dumping the Turkish Lira and their buying dollars will effect. Currency stability is needed for the market and investment, but it is not something that cannot be fixed. In Canada two years ago our dollar hit 69 cents dropping 30%, but the fundamentals of the economy was always stable. The Turkish economy is the most diversified in Europe. Here in Canada, 70% of our exports goes to one single trading partner—-USA. Canada is trying to diversify. Erdogan and company were preparing this sort of thing for years. It is all psychological war fare to keep Turkey for becoming independent power that cannot be dictated. Also, Turkey refused to join the sanctions on Iran and promised to trade with that nations including buying oil and gas. Folks, it is the growing pains that nations must go throug. Backward looking Somalis who live in a Small bubble and do not have stakes in the world, Who are always happy to carry the water for someone else, are already celebrating the end of Turkey that will not happen. Mr. Dahireto, your evil wish says more about you than Turkey. Turki way u Dhamaatay Kulaha.waar Soomalidan Maxaa Ka Si ah.
  2. The proud culture of the Somali nomad that roomed the land and refused to be ruled by foreigner is no more. Rather than own and rule one if the largest land masses in the continental Africa , the new small Somali is bonded with few villages, yet he is celebrating. When the colonial officer tried to visit Hargeisa, in the late fifties,The ancestors of this Ducaale kid , Barkhad Cas said, “ Aan ooyee Albaabka I xidha “ Now, the grandson is saying “ Ingriis Cadde Ayaa Sidaa Yidhi” The OG community are saying that it was the British that called the land Ogaden, but those of us who know history clearly understands that it was King Haile Salasie who encouraged them to annex the Hawd and called it Ogaden for political reasons. The rest of the land from West of Buuhoodle all the way Jigjiga, Dir Dhaba and to the Djibouti border was given to Ethiopia in 1954. It was all clan politics spread headed by the colonial powers. The same thing goes with Djibouti. The first official census done by the French in 1949, The Awdal community of the city state were the largest, and Jaamac Zaylici become the first elected deputy. Rather than join the French, we opted for freedom and pro-Somalism. A systematic campaign to weaken us got started in 1960. In 1968 when we overwhelmingly voted “No” for the referendum for the French to stay, the French went house to house and deported thousands of citizens. He put electrified fences at the Lowyacdo crossing, and even mine fields patrolled by dogs. That same year, he changed the Land from French Somaliland and made it to the territory of the Cafaar and Ciise. He issues ID cards with Afaar as number one, Ciise 2, Awdalites 3 and so on. He closed the border and deported us much Awdalites as he could, who were wanted to join the free republic of Somalia. On the other hand , he encouraged new immigrants who rode the train by thousands both from the Afaar of Ethiopia and Somalis from Ethiopia who doesn’t grasp the battle for freedom. Within 20 years the demographics had changed. If many of you “ Gaas Dhagoole”are asked about Djibouti, you would say that it belongs to certain clan ,although over hundred thousand Awdalites still live their and if fair elections are held today their strength could be exposed. Folks, when those of us who know history and culture take the helm, the Somali nation will not be only Mogadishu, Hargeisa or those villages you keep exaggerating. Keep jumping up while it lasts. There are millions of Somalis from Babili to Mooyaale; from Zaylac, central Hiiraan to Bay and Jubba who are looking national state that works for all. Who knows, they might get one day. The Oromo are the new Somalis who want get back everything they lost and the fragmented enclaves will not match that zeal and unity of the Oromo. Frankly, I do not mind joining them.
  3. Ducaake, as usual talking from the Gutter ( Bulaacad) is part of your upbringing. Do not twist my intention. Having realized how weak and corrupt the Somali enclaves are including Somali Galbeed, I have to swallow my pride and support those who want to be free. It is always better and morally correct to join a nation than a tribe. What you got is small potatoes on my side. 30 years old project and a hundred million dollars budget .famine, unemployment and chronic nepotism. Of course, you are slightly better than Mogadishu bomb factory. Furthermore, I would be even more comfortable joining the Oromo nation like many Somalis in Somali Galbreed than staying with an old dog that never learns anything new. The typical , Ehlul Naar” who beats the seventy years old grandma with stick while she is ridding the truck . Waxa uu yidhi Hassan Sh. Muumin isagoo Bisada ka hadlaya “ Magacyo Badanaa oo Basar Xumaa ma Soomaaliba “
  4. Jawaar has defeated theTPLF while in Minnesota and Washington. whi knows in few years he might even take Fingine and annex to Oromia. As they say, no guts no glory.
  5. MMA, That Somali state is not only weak but also obedient to orders from others. Ducaale, I know that you judge everything on Somaliland, but some times there are bigger fish to fry. Also, at this juncture, I do not have time to lose sleep about our local issues and Xaafad. Further more, It is the behaviour of the Somali enclaves that forced me to back down and accept the hard earned Oromo revolution and examine my priorities. You might be right that, usually when I try to fight or even argue other Somalis with pity things, we always lose on both sides. I might be harsh sometimes with Somaliland or others, but my intensity always to bring back the lost sheep to its natural flock. The Oromo are doing what we supposed to do and, I am taking my hat off to them. The Oromo did not just get a prime minister, who could come and go, they got their defacto independence without large scale displacement or destruction. Here in Sol, Some have called the Oromo dumb or peasant like backwards, yet they are celebrating an independence without going to war. Their country and homes are intact, and That is smart. They have thrown a 500 years old order upside down while holding the gavel in their hands. Very few people could claim in this day and age. The typical Somali would burn the house to save it as we have seen a cross the country. Now, those of us Somalis, who were yearning for freedom must soon throw out the despots who should have left with the Tplf oppressor, yet Some Somali want to preserve them for false Somali independence. I did talk to some ONLF members and they told me that these new kid is just stolled there to keep the transition and order, but soon he will follow his despot overlord Cabdi Illey. The Oromo revolution should have reached Jigjiga long ago, but a despot had decided to sacrifice as much Somalis as possible to preserve the dieing Tplf order. Imagine hoe the old order feels seeing the open welcoming of those they called terrorists just few months ago. My friend, I am still a fervent unionist, yet I decided not to focus anymore Somaliland or others for my greater goal.
  6. The evil and deranged Saudis think that Canada is another Qatar that they can bully. The Canadian foreign minister was tweeting to support the hasnabd and sister of a Canadian resident that was jailed in Saudi Arabia. Their reaction is not only disproportionate but also ruthless and evil. They recalled thousandsof students, people who were here for medical and cancelled Saudia flights to Toronto. That is unnecessary exclation for a tweet. Good old Canada is not Qatar, Djibouti or Somalia. Having allied themselves with Orange Bafoon at the White house, the Bedouin think they can kick people around.
  7. Just like the last King of Ethiopia who said these are my flock, despot Illey wanted him an Ethiopian hero while ignoring the great battles the Saying waged against Abyssinia. Illey and company had put many things upside down.
  8. MMA, I and others are guilty of these plunder. Instead of Jigjiga, we say Jijiga. Diri Dhaba is another example. Somali Galbeed or Somali region is the right statement and we should start right away.
  9. MMA, The larger Somal Republic is not In danger. The issue is Ethiopia.
  10. Brother, it is not a fear. We do not have any strategy other than “the Oromo want to kill us” I have never seen a nation or group united like this in the last 30 years. It is a Khamenei style mob Will focus wherever it is directed. We should buy some time and wait. This huge caravan which looks like the anti apartheid movement of yesteryear will some day wine down and distingrate. It will divide in to three or four groups in due course.
  11. I just watched Jawar Mohamed in a stadium greatedr by the queero, the Oromo youth movement. The Oromo are a proud nation these days just the way we were in 1960. . Folks, stay away from these revolution, a corrupt and backward thinking Somali will not match this nation. We must try to survive, regroup and fight another day.
  12. Oo, There are Amharized Oromo and Oromized Somali. The Ahmarized Oromo is making war among Somali and former Somali Oromo. It is simple. We are killing our own people
  13. It is a war among Somali orchestrated by the Christian Oromo to destroy among ourselves.
  14. Some might say that if they are Somali why are they killing other Somalis? Well, it is the same reason Somalis are killing each other in Ceel Afweyn, Gaalkacayo, or Shabeelaha Hoose. There is a method to the madness. Do not listen the mob, try to understand the root causes. A large group of Somalis believe that in order to prosper , the best way is avoid the Somali Rule in Jijiga. For Some, total disintegration could be a welcome relief from the Illey boys. Imagine z family sitting in Jijiga and deciding amongst themselves for the future of the Somalis. Illey had gambled for thinking that the TPLF is for ever , but Somalis are paying the price. After he lost the gambling he should have reflected. One more thing , if this Abiy guy doesn’t stop the incoming civil war he could face a military coup to bring order to Ethiopia. The TPLF media and others are calling the military to bring order anc take over the country.
  15. Jawar Mohamed is a hero to a nation, not to a tribe. There was no OLF in 1992. The first Somali regional government headquarters was Dire Dawa, the first offices were opened there, but the OG insisted and moved it to Godney. The Son of Suldan Ollol Diinle who was in this town last week, openly said that it was one of the biggest mistakes they made in early days. For the interest of the Somali community in the Kill, the OG community should leave the leadership to others. Some people believe that they shrunk the Somali territory for political purposes. They allowed the annexation of the most fertile land east of Jijiga to Dire Dawa for Oromo. Large Somali communities had decided to leave the oppression of the power hungry Geeljire to the welcoming Oromo. In fact, a friend of mine described the current war between the Somali and Oromo as a war between culturerly Oromized Somali and other Somali. Many of you here even dismissed and called them Oromo while full well knowing that they are Somali. The Jaarso community never fought other Somali in their history, yet as the war between the Tplf and Oromo started, they shut down their business and trucked them to the nearest Oromo town. In Baydhabo, people join the local tribes regardless of origin, I heard. Our friends MMA might correct me. It is similar system. Imobile farmers who spent three generations automatically become assimilated to the larger culture. No one will ask them their tribe. I was talking to the Awdal Ugaas few weeks ago, who had traveled the land extensively, and said he found over one and half million Somali in Hawaas, north Babili and other areas. There are tribes called Af Burinje and even Was Beeneeye from Puntland, Arab community from Hargeisa and Millions of Dir communities. Why would people who live in a stones throw from Jijiga decide to severe ties with the Somali Kill? Because of ruthless oppression from people who do not fear God or have any mercy. Crying about the Oromo will not solve the issue, Somalis, especially those who have greed and power has nesnerized must reflect and correct their mistakes. Babili and Harmaayo have more population than the four provances the OG community assigned it self. Awbare district have more people than combined Godney and Dhagaxbuur who are provincial capitals. For fear of other f population centres they decided to annex to Oromo and others. If you look the map, the land that is in danger of Oromo annexation doesn't belong to the Oogo region of the OG community. It is the same purpose they let it go Dire Dawa. Just look the effort that the OG community is making to preserve Cabdi Illey in order to hold to power. Ducaale from the Kenyan parliament speaker, Juba and even the ONLF and others went to Ethiopia to save the man who murdered thousands. Even when Illey ywas supposed to leave and transfer power to the vice president as the rules demand,, the tribe said, a woman does not represent us. So, Illey chose a kid who wasn't even in the cabinet few months ago. He was promoted to, added to the executive conseil and made minister few months ago. If Illey and his supporters does not change and unite the Somali, the whole Kill might go down in flames.
  16. OO, Somali Kilil is not developed as you claim, it just one man and his emediate family dictating. Illey was the chairman and the president, his sister in law was the Vice President and he has his close family members both in security and government ministers including the finance minister who became the new leader. More than half of the Somalis opposes him as much as the Oromo . compare to other Kilil. Lema Magrasa refused to step down after the Oromo uprising and the leader of the Amhara Kilil chasedvthe federal police out of Amhara region. The other zones are led by grown men and mature counsel men who have the support of their people. The battle was lost in 2016 when The Somali zone joined the efforts to save and die for the preservation of the TPLF. If Illey had allowed the Somali people to join the uprising things could have been different today. He chose to crush the uprising more than TPLF. Now, thanks to Illey an emergency rule is imposed again and Somalia will get squeezed. In the meantime the Oromo will slow down. The new president must Change the old family style of government and transform the region to an inclusive enitity that must work to get the trust of the Somalis to face long and short term problems. Mr. Ahmed Cabdi has great opportunity to create a different system that could contrast that of his former boss.
  17. Sorry, you are right. The intelligence chief is Amhara. By the way, oo you keep talking about the Djibouti trade life line for the Somali zone. Berberine e and Awda coast is ten times closer than Djibouti. The Djibouti route serves Addis and the container traffic. I know that you also work part time foe Djibouti but, the so called trade is red hearing. THEY COULD OPEN THE BORDER with Somali land with ten crossing points easily.
  18. Oo, How about the military chief, I thought he was an Amhara?
  19. I agree with Oodweyne the deep state with strong military structures are in the hands of the Tplf. Even the Tigray online guys are saying that the Tigray army and special forces could take out everyone. The Tplf had always plan be if things went out of their way, and they think that the Amhara are not people who can win any battle against them. They proudly claim to be those who liberated Ethiopia from the Derby. That sight of Colonel Mengitu being rehabilitated in probably the last thing they need.
  20. Chief of the armed forces is an ethnic Amhara, the intelligence chief is a Muslim man called Mohamed Adam, both of them installed by Abiy.
  21. By the way, the Liyu police is not entirely OG. Other comments from Moyale, Awbare and other have large numbers. They are very close group that is trained to stick to gather. They can easily defeat any forces . Moore, The Dire Dawa group is insignificant other than few districts in the Djibouti borders area, they do not have the population or the land. Most of the people in that region had already moved to Djibouti . It is the main reason Dire Dawa has has fallen to Oromo hands. Shiniile it self is shared with us and a large Dir group called Gurgure. The Awbare, Dambal, Dharwanaaje and others are organizing as we speak, we have other large Dir group who are also significantly, but at the moment , the Awdal community is allied with OG leadership, because they do not want to dismantle the existing order which could lead the collapse of the system. That is why the locals never risen up against Cabdi illey. We can also reach out the Jaarso Somalis who for political reasons abandoned the Somali Kilil. These are natural towns of the Somalis who left because of certain grievances. We must bring back the Jaarso and other Somalis who live in the middle of our region. We also believe that a fair election should be the only way to change the current leadership, and we reject those who are trying to sneak in from Dire Dawa .if elections are held the Dir can win easily by sheer number, they are not as homogeneous like the OG. Also, the ONLF is very significant in terms of the future negotiations. The Somali independent movement should be always around to comfort if Abiy starts the old order
  22. Dahireeto, some Liyu police members fled in the Djibouti border regions for fear of retaliation. The non Somali residents of Jijiga had demanded that the Liyu to vacate the city and the federal police is keeping the peace in the city. The Amhara and some Oromo are pushing the disbanding of the Liyu but the Somali Kilil leadership has refused. If they disband the Liyu, a full fledged insurgency by a well trained and ruthless force might destroy any chances of Abiy rule in Ethiopia. This Abiy guy already mishandled this Jijiga issue, and if he targets the Liyu he would get a tough battle that is 100 times bigger than the ONLF. Also, he must remove the Tigray officers who might not be stopping communal conflicts, but fueling them. He must deploy troops to Dire Dawa and other flash points.
  23. Khadaafi, He could have triggered the article 39 months ago or opened a debate inside the parliament which could have voted, but he was never been A Somali who had the interest of the Somali at heart. He was prison guard henchman who took pride in abusing his own people. The other issue is that Cabdi Illey is still the chairman of the party. That alone will handicap the new leader. They must elect a new party chairman.
  24. The new temporary president is a close ally of Cabdi Illey. He was the finance minister of the outgoing government. Tobbe successful he must distance himself from his protege and build new bridges or he could face similar problems like Illey
