The clan system can actually be an asset for us if our people just understand how to democratise it and use it in a fair way. For instance, greater legitimacy, accountability and transparency can be brought in to the role of our clan leadership if we decide to elect our clan leaders using the ballot box. Also for the sake of equality, both men and women, and teenagers should elect their clan leaders and not just old grey-haired men. The incompetent or corrupt clan leaders can also be removed by casting a vote of no confidence.

I like many aspects of the Wahhabi doctrine especially their understanding of pure monotheism. Thanks to Saudi Arabia and their tireless missionary efforts, the Muslim world has a far greater interest in and more clearer understanding of Islam. Islamic literature is now found in almost every village and town in the world because of the Saudi press, Countless mosques have been built by Saudi money, Mecca and Medina are free of corrupted deviations from Islam and are a source of guidance for millions of Muslims worldwide because of Wahhabi puritanism, and yes most Somalis were idol worshippers( remember the annual "Awbarkhadle pilgrimage" practised in Hargeisa) before the Muslim Brotherhood movement and the Saudi trained puritans showed up. So your commentary about the Saudis needs to be unbiased and balanced because it seems you are basing your analysis on Western prejudices against Saudi Arabia.
