No one in Somaliland has stomach to see any more mayhem, death, and destruction on their already traumatised brethren. If you bother to think objectively, you will also realise that Somalilanders have never done anything wrong to their fellow Somalis south of their border. Indeed, we are happy to lick our still open wounds and forgive Somalia for its brutality and move on. Somalis in Somalia are responsible for the long standing problems in their country and should not blame Somaliland or others for their shortcomings.

Hargeisa used to have a public library opposite the theatre and its title was rugta kutubta. It was sadly converted to a police station by some Somaliland government officials who have no idea about the values of leaning:mad:

  5. "Rugta Kutubta MAE, Xarunta Dhaqanka iyo Warbaahinta Bulshada" is the Somali equivalent of that English title
  6. Somalis should never depend on other countries for the basics of life such as food and energy but the Grand Ethiopian dam has a great potential to provides us with another source of reliable and cheap energy. The more sources of energy we get , the better for the Somalis and their economy.

  8. I don't believe you Alpha so I have no feed back to give. The only time I will take your project seriously is when I watch its ribbon-cutting ceremony on HCTV;)
  9. It must be a tent near a heap of city trash. A good bargain indeed;)
  10. Friendship and free trade with Ethiopia is in Somalia and Somaliland's interest. Somalis should actually support the Ethiopian dam because if Somalia and Somaliland sign free trade agreements with Ethiopia, we can import cheap electricity from them to kick start an industrial economy and export the Somali made products to Ethiopia's vast market. It is a win-win situation I think.
  11. No comment until I see the male version
  12. Safe journey and may Allah protect you dear Safffy.

  14. This Jubbaland political impasse is a very sad development indeed given the long suffering of the natives of that region. This was suppose to be the time the residents of Kismaay and the region started reconciliation, reconstruction, and recovery not a time they should worry about yet another futile clan conflict. May Allah bring some sanity to all the feuding sides.
  15. I don't know why, but somehow I have always liked Boosaaso since childhood. Even its name appealed to me;)

That is true, things are not as they used to be decades ago. Ethiopia is transformed, Africa is transformed, and the Middle East is now different after the Arab Spring.

It is also no secret Ethiopia imported a lot of highly sophisticated weaponry including drones from Israel. Don't underestimate the Xabshis.
  19. What can the FG do if Kenya starts drilling in those disputed waters? I guess not much.
  20. The Egyptians are running around like headless chicken. This is the moment they feared would come all those years.

I hate it and UCID is not much different either.

  23. I believe out of the current crop of politicians, Cabdi Raxmaan Saylici will make the best president if he is elected.
