1. @Johnny B said: And the correlation between Mooge's often baseless diatribes and the trueness of what is being reported is ? Mooge is often wrong but he got this one right, or maybe he is right more than I thought but his delivery is ruined by vitriol.
2. Mooge, I apologize. Everything you say is true apparently. How can people be so twisted that they give weapons to their "enemies" to shell their own people.
3. @Holac said: Homunculus, don't you think the fight would then move to the legislative branch with each clan arguing it didn't get enough seats at parliament? Hmmm, you raise a good point. I think New Hampshire's state house is a great example, they have 400 representatives and their annual pay is extremely low.
4. If Puntland wants to be a federal state then they have to reduce the powers of the executive and increase the powers of the legislative, sub clans shouldn't be fighting for ministerial positions. I still don't know what kind of governing system PL is planning to run, try to fix that first before dividing the pie.
5. @CidanSultan said: accepted defeat...hahaha...you live on the backs of Kenyan occupation. Ahmed Madobe wrote a letter to kenya and i qoute.. 6. @CidanSultan said: ^^^ its like telling a baby: who cant crawl...please write me a thesis. hahaha... saxib these people are dreamers. and he qoutes Einstein about insanity...hahaha saxib. Somalia and hag care about Hag. Pirates care about pirates. your people are the most disorganised, divided people there is. its not something recent go back even during the time of the dervishes...what did the British call them. Somaliland Ismaelilies - refering to the unwanted islamic sect. hahahah... I'm starting to think that this guy is a troll to make Somalilanders look bad, or maybe he's a somalilander and they have to work harder because he is dragging the national IQ down.
7. @burahadeer said: hellhole Somalia can't make such satire against SL.Thats the point. They can't even control Mogadishu and running their big mouth about others.Look like human being first then have right to criticize .Clean your butt or you get smacked again & again. Thin skins is a sign of the truth being too much to bear, how can you handle a country if you can't handle satire? and where is this superiority complex coming from? It really baffles me the lengths people go to feel good about themselves.
8. 8 Al-Shabaab fighters die after Somalia car bomb blast: witnesses At least eight Al-Shabaab fighters were killed and five others injured after a car bomb they were making accidentally went off in the central Somali town of Bulo-Burte, witnesses and officials said. The explosion was heard around Bulo Burte close to the main town of Beledewyne, which is controlled by government forces and African Union (AU) troops. "The explosion was very huge and I saw people fleeing from the area. Eight dead men were taken out of the house where the vehicle was constructed. Five more severely wounded fighters were also taken away," Ali Muse, a resident, told Xinhua. The military said the vehicle was intended to target the government forces and AU peacekeeping troops based in Beledweyne, 300 km north of the capital Mogadishu. Speaking to Radio Mogadishu, Hiran Regional Deputy Military Commander Mohamed Amiin Adam said Al-Shabaab has increased attacks on civilians and that the officials were aware of "other plots" of the group. "We have reports now that a tanker full of explosives is headed towards Beledweyne from Bulo Burte and was sent by the plotters," Adam told the state radio. This comes as two separate explosions hit Mogadishu killing one and wounding five others including a government official, who was injured after a bomb planted in his vehicle exploded as he was driving along the main Makka Al Mukarama street in the capital. Hiiraan ----------------------------------- 21 Iraqi militants die after explosion at bomb-making class Iraqi officials say militants accidentally set off their own car bomb at a training camp north of Baghdad, leaving 21 dead. A police officer said the militants were attending a lesson on Monday on making car bombs and explosive belts at the camp near the town of Samarra when a glitch set off one of the devices. Guardian
9. @CidanSultan said: Nervious laughter from your part: I can feel it even though i cant see you. If i could defeat your forfathers and take all their land up to East Sanag and East Sool. If i could destroy your uncles government and army and take on your entire clan and the entire Somali speaking peoples and i can keep you under my boot till this present day. That is not fragile. That is strength, fragility is you who lives under my boot and mercy for the past 300 years. Sheesh... This guy has an inflated image of himself. You don't know anything about Eastern Sanaag or Sool, so please keep quiet and let the grown ups discuss matters in a more cultured way. We don't need fake machismo.
10. @Mooge said: xaaji, niyoow ninka wa jeceshay kal iyo laab. lool. what if this terrorist slumboy was wrecking havoc on the imaginary republic of somaliland. would you wish for his wellbeing? Is this a rhetorical question? His days are numbered and his followers are abandoning him, the frequency of the attacks means that his organization infiltrated. I can't wait to hear the story of his demise.
11. @Miyir said: deliver to who? Qoslaaye Why? they owe you nothing I'm only saying that the west like to make promises and they rarely deliver. That's a common complaint.
12. Despite all the corruption and ineptitude of the SFG I still think that the donor nations had no intention of helping Somalia, all they wanted is to dangle a carrot and offer excuses every time they had to deliver.
13. @Xaaji Xunjuf said: Homunculus i thought u were a maakhirate , the maakhir folks are very dissatisfied with cabdi cawars new cabinet. Read this I dont believe u have allot of trust in him http://www.wardheernews.com/open-letter-new-president-0f-putntland-state-somalia-dr-abdiweli-mohamed-ali-gas/ I try to be as neutral as possible, I don't wish bad things to happen to Mogadishu or make fun of them, I don't cheer when bad news emerge from Puntland and I'd like Somaliland to have success but not secede.I lived in two federal countries (well Canada is a confederacy in name only) and I like the system. Most people here prefer that their faction wins and the rest loses, I'd like everybody to win and that's obviously not possible as you highlighted in the article.
14. @Xaaji Xunjuf said: it doesn't look to good since cabdi cawar was elected president the galgala movement is on the revival lets see how it goes. Wow... The guy just got elected and a whole movement just sprung to life. I'm waiting for other exciting breaking news, SOL correspondent Xaaji will be provide live reports.
15. Xaaji is back and he doesn't disappoint. I think surrender is not enough to pack a punch, kisses the ring maybe or Gaas is the new Neville Chamberlain, not that I want to be facetious or anything.
16. These ID cards are better than the ones I have here in Canada. Look at that chip! I almost had tears in my eyes when one of them said that after 22 years of war things are changing to peace and development while he pointed at his ID card. Such a simple but meaningful thing.
17. I think this is linked to the economy. Sweden from what I know became less socially democratic during the recession and inequality is rising fast since they can't compete with lower wage countries. When you have multitude of people who are perma-unemployed then they will turn their frustrations to the "other" and who is more different than an African immigrant.
18. isn't Juba"land" a fait accompli, they should woo the people of Lower Shabeele to their side but I think they will be out maneuvered and Banaadir state will become a reality first.
19. Poor Bay and Bakool, as a landlocked state they will be marginalized again and be dependent on the goodness of other states.
20. I remember reading a similar article from nationalist newspaper from India. They had harsher words to say about Somalis.
21. I thought Somalis were doing the environment a favor by remaining backward, the country consumes less electricity than a hamlet in Canada.
22. Let's call it as it is, Somalis treat each other badly, Muslims, Christians whatever. Christians are not doing someone a favor but trying to convert him/her in Somalia, they are just adding another layer to the problem.
23. Hmmm, why didn't they adopt the kid before all this? or do they prefer that the kid remain a ward of the state?
24. By Mohamed Osman Omar Midnight, 16 Sept. 2016 – The story you read is partially fact and partially fiction about what would happen at the end of the tenure of the present Federal Administration and the term of office of the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia and if the promised election fails to take place in September 2016. One can say it is difficult to imagine that. But take one thing for granted. The covert plan by the African Union, supported by the United Nations and the International Community is ready for implementation. The signs are that the African Union, supported by the International Community will not remain idle and let Somalia fall in a vacuum in case the present Federal Government fails to organise free and fair elections in 2016: A perfect pretext to execute a well planned takeover. Back for four more years of “Transitional” government, will not happen as that has been replaced by “a Permanent” government whose mandate is to end by 2016, the date that the tenure of the Federal Government will also end. Rest of the article Where did this notion of trusteeship come from?
