Khaatumo movement is gone, I hated it from the beginning and professed my support for Buhoodle and other areas. Puntland is finished with the south and the dastuur, our attention is on Sool and Sanaag now. The TFG never recognized Khaatumo and never will. @Carafaat, this is a unite tactic, you don't understand.

It's so easy to write anything up and have millions of mouth pieces to spread it for free.. Whatever you call it they control more land than your movement. I support these men, they aren't trying to take advantage of the situation without doing anything, they are fighting. Tell me what Khaatumo has achieved, how many Somalidiids have they captured or killed, what land have they developed? All I hear are people in Nairobi hotels and now Swiss Khaatumo parties, look at this yesterday they are still partying. http://horseedmedia.net/2012/05/08/xaflada-dabaal-dega-maamulka-khaatumo-state-oo-dalka-switzerland-ka-dhacaysawiro/ Guul Cayn State of Somalia, may you prosper and I'll pray for your success.

Chimera is a creative thinker, he's needed when the oil flows.

Somaliland's secession has been justified for a long time, but they didn't play the right politics and surely didn't engage with the right people. But it won't be justified once the south is stable because their whole point of secession was to get away from mayhem and chaos.

No one will see it as a snub, just your love for a colonial power. Out of all Somalis across the peninsula, the only ones that have embraced their former colonial power and longed for it is by far Somaliland. I think we can both agree on that.

Please do not involve Garowe in this, this is an organic movement made by the people to liberate their lands.

Yeah, I live near Buuryaqab in Somalia. Anyway, I'm being told it is Xaglatoosiye who is behind this, the man is starting to think. This is a great move by him and I wish him luck.

Welcome Cayn State of Somalia I Support You!

Currently only Puntland has managed to unite with an unprecedented 4 large clans from Goldogob, to the village of Xaar Xaar to Garowe and beyond to Las Qorey. Hiiraan isn't a federal state, nor does it have the capacity to become a state with half a region or even 1 region. I don't understand why all of these other clans can't unite to make a state and become peaceful and prosperous, that's all I wish for every day. However, I welcome this temporary movement!

This isn't federalism, they need 2 states or more.

1 President 6 Cabinet Ministers. Soon parties will take place around the world according to the audio, it will take hold in Buhoodle soon.

Only for elders, not for the public, the public will see it when it is being debated. This is a draft constitution my nigga, not for you, not for us, for the people chosen for us. Do you know the constitution will be amended MANY times? How many times do they release it? Get the hell outta here.

Jacaylbaro, did the person who made that photo not read what he's making fun of? Facilitated: Supported/progressed by UNPOS Funded by Japan through SSI Trust So the UNPOS (Mahiga's unit) facilitated (arranged, progressed, supported) the funding by Japan.

I look at this thread, the responses, the witty remarks by Oodweyne (whom we lost track of by the way) and say: GOD DAMN TIMES HAVE CHANGED!

The top United Nations envoy in Somalia has welcomed the inaugural convening of the body tasked with selecting members of the Constituent Assembly and new Parliament as an important step on the road to ending the country’s transition. “This is a moment of optimism for all Somalis,” said Augustine Mahiga, the Secretary-General’s Special Representative and head of the UN Political Office for Somalia (UNPOS). The Traditional Elders represent the full spectrum of Somali society, according to a statement issued by UNPOS. They will nominate and select those who will serve in the 1,000-member Constituent Assembly, which is tasked with drafting a new constitution, as well as in the new Parliament. The country’s Transitional Federal Institutions (TFIs) are in the process of implementing a roadmap devised in September last year that spells out priority measures to be carried out before the current transitional governing arrangements end on 20 August. The selection of the members of the Assembly and the Parliament will help pave the way for the end of the transition, UN News Service reports. Mahiga emphasized that the credibility of those chosen by the Elders, who will meet tomorrow in the capital, Mogadishu, will have a “profound effect” on the constitution-making process and the selection of the new legislative body. “I call on all parties to ensure that this is done in a timely, consultative and efficient manner. This is an essential first step on a long path ahead, and it is critical that we get it right.” He also encouraged the Elders to “give us the best representatives to both the Constituent Assembly and the Parliament.” The UN and the international community will give their full support to this process for the successful ending of the transition and eventual lasting peace and stability to Somalia, he added.

Then why doesn't he recognize you?

Are you for it because it hints securalism?

The Independent Constitutional Committee which were very independent and free spoken and had no interference of course.

Very good and interesting article. The Road Map will end the unworkable, eight-year transition period that functioned as black hole of available meager resources without corresponding achievements in security or social development to show for. The only growth industry during the anguished transition period has been escalating corruption and runaway sectarianism. Somalia can ill-afford the continuation of this unhappy process. It needs to end abruptly come August, 2012. I agree with this part in particular. This system was chosen by the same people who today want to reject it, we can't have that. We must move forward.

Cause it isn't finished, 7 days and it will be published and ratified and there's nothing that can be done afterwards to change it for 7 YEARS! Man, I feel proud of the men who made it.
