  2. ibz, i thought you were at the forefront of the mission to save women?
  3. malika, privileged in relation to what?
  4. 5, being the alpha female you are, who is the lucky sappho?
  5. i have no sympathy for those who accept their conditions.
  6. i'm not a woman! and i'm in somaliland! women here are the backbone of society, no pun intended! these pathetic UN-NGO economy events are useless. they get opportunistic individuals together and parade a few ''local'' women to promote their programs. women benefit least from these types of events. here in somaliland, women play a prominent role in the development of the country. its not like other parts of the world, where women need to given the platform.
  7. somalina, do you think those people in somalia really care about IWD?
  8. this is pathetic! how can you reduce the meaning of what it means to be a women to one day. much like black history month, these events seek to ridicule and are a waste of time. why isnt there an international mens day or for that matter white history month? the prove is in the pudding, as it were, because there is a clear imbalance of power dynamics. those who have benefited from the global economic system see it that those majority-minorities are given the pedestal to celebrate their worth, while they manipulate and make profits from their containment and mental slavery. recognition comes from the self before any other individual/ group gives you self-worth. this is clearly the work of the white devil, liberals, self-hating women/men and feminist.
  9. 5, you in love or something?
  10. There is more acronyms here than you can shake a stick at..... I'm out ( with a duncan bannatyne voice) !
  11. welcome Vans. this forum isn't lacking newbies, its lacking creative and interesting posts. how do you think you can contribute?
  12. Why can't we be (together)? Can't you love me, don't hate me I don't see (why can't we live together) Maybe we could get it on (maybe we could get along) Should be our destiny There's a cold streak living (inside us) There's no rainbows... just bullets and bombs If you want to rise up We can make this hate stop Now don't you want to rise up [Chorus:] We've been giving hate a chance (We've got all this love to give, you know) And the love will be running out for us Can you feel the dreams of life We're hoping we can still survive As the wind carries every dove away So why do we see (these colours) It's only skin deep, don't mean a thing So clear (underneath this we're all brothers) Can't you see it's killing us (Can't you see it's killing us) Can't you see it's killing me Trigger happy fantasy So stand up and be (so strong now) Freedom is not so far away If you know you want to rise up We can make this hate stop Now don't you want to rise up [Chorus] [bridge:] (The wind carries every dove away, The wind carries every dove away, every dove away) Dove, dove, dove, dove, dove, dove, dove Now you've been taking our dignity for too long I want to save this sanctity that we hold And who's right and who's wrong We're not so different anyway Words are in this song Can't we stop the fighting? [Chorus/Outro] Coz we've been giving hate a chance Don't give this hate a chance We've got all this love to give, you know And the love will be running out for us (we’ve got all this love to give) (and that the love’s still alive, survive) Can you feel the dreams of life We're hoping we can still survive As the wind carries every dove away Don't give this hate a chance (can’t we stop the dove away) We've got all this love to give, you know That this dream's alive, will still survive (can’t we stop the dove away) Until no more people have to cry Don't give this hate a chance (can’t we stop the dove away) We've got all this love to give (that’s the wind carries every dove away) That this dream's alive, we’ll still survive And the love will be running out for us Until no more people have to cry Don't give this hate a chance We've got all this love to give, you know That this dream's alive, we’ll still survive Until no more people have to cry amazing song!
  13. who ever demonstrates against a militia? demonstrations like these only seek to reinforce that notion that Somaliland is an independent entity, able to conform to international pressure. ill equipped, ill-informed and poorly organised events are a waste of every-bodies time.
  14. persian women are ok! nothing spectacular compared to a ''good somali women''. though i do like that they are covered. too often the scantily clad women of ''the west'', who feel ''freer to shake it'', are off putting. what is seen counts for nothing. what is unseen or hidden is mysterious lol. @pictures - hijabocracy is empowering!
  15. ibz eedo, i literally spend my time with the ''locals''. i was merely warning you against those who claim to be modern. there is no shame if you come to see an old 'friend'' nooooh.
  16. *Ibtisam;699225 wrote: Excited enough for you to come with me I will settle for a visit after 3months Me too, I feel slightly less nervous- although I am still worried about hearing nothing but aaf Somali around me. I hope I can get use to it. Mind you I got use to hearing nothing buy Punjabi and hindi when i was in india. So how hard can it be to get use to "naw iyo chow" loool. ibz. stop acting like a ciyaal dee. you can hang with me! somaliland is very hospitable and there is amazing life - in the ''compound life'' loool. there is plenty to do, but the so-called diaspora people usually live a sheltered life, going to the local hangouts, where is there a lot of staring - usually its people speculating on whether you work for an NGO, private sector or a qurbo-joog reject. i'm now part of the community and as ''native'' as you can get. just find a nice place to rent and whatever you do have minimal contact with the ''locals'. they dont understand privacy and personal space. it was difficult at first but now i own the country. looool
  17. Cara.;699138 wrote: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama some in america have argued that its now post-racial! obama is hardly a reference point for race relations. cara, have you not read 'dreams from my father'' - clearly shows the deep psychological impacts of mix-ancestry.
  18. yes! me personally! gtfo kulaha jesus moses! jb - thats the same reaction i had when i saw it! lol.
  19. sling your hook mate! you'd think i would post such damaging information about myself. if you asked those who knew me personally, like my very good friend NORF, he would tell you that i have plenty of self-awareness and indeed high moral fibre.
  20. come on guys. she will always be half of something, never quite the full article. i'm sure thats her greatest weakness. mixed children are beautiful (thats in the early years), but research has proven as adolescents and more worryingly as adults, that a person of mix-ancestry is more likely to feel a sense of worthlessness.
  21. lol. are you gonna leak it on the site? the travesty! the shame! the reputations destroyed! the infamy!
  22. it wasn't what i said but where I was. politics can lead you in dangerous places to be exposed for my involvement in a seedy affair has indeed been a blessing!
