  10. Wa Alaykaum salaam Wa raxmatullahi Wa barakaatu Bob. Inter had their chances but to be honest I have never been more comfortable watching a CL away leg in the knock-out phases. Call it experience from the past 3 years or so but Inter offered very little apart from flashes here and there. Our normal passing game wasn’t there (no Alonso) and we were playing on the counter. When you do that you invite pressure and that’s exactly what happened. LFC invited Inter to attack. Nothing new there when a team is 2-0 up in the 2nd leg. I really don’t care about the ref’s supposed mistakes as Italians have won many a trophy in the same fashion. Ibrahimovic is over-rated. I havnt seen him do anything of note in big games. This is where names are made! The CL! Liverpool fans are the best in Europe if not the world and everyone recognizes that. Even when they are on their way out to LFC they enjoy singing our anthem with emotions running high. Besides I’m a Juve fan.
  11. I love it when over-rated pre-madonnas don't performe (Ibrahimovic, Cruz, Cambisso, Stankovic).
  12. Ngonge, I think you covered it all. Ready for next month? Also, the current drive in history and culture in the ME should be mentioned. Muscat was last year’s Capital of Arab culture and its Damascus this year. I hear it will be Hargaisa next year! Dubai has many facets apart from what you see on TV or read about. For any doubters re-read the article. All your answers are contained therein. ps I think you meant Mayed and not Majed. Dubai Cultural Authority
  13. Simple question would be why not? @ Che
  14. Gents, give me something to chew on. If not, let me watch the game!
  15. ^^Tell me of a major Arab city without an Islamic museum of some sorts. I will give the initiators the benefit of the doubt until things are up and running (as you should). Dubai might be on the map for many other things but until you visit or live here you will not be aware of the good the city, its residents and charities do for Islam and Muslims. Your on the outside looking in whereas I'm here seeing Mosques being built, books shops (McGrudy's, Borders etc) selling Islamic literature, tours of Mosques, inter faith gatherings, Holy Quran award and many charities. Forgive me for seeing things from a more informed perspective.
  16. Jimcaale, where does it say it will bring in capital?
  17. My argument is clear and is in line with the article. Surely you can come up with a better argument than 'a crash course in the life of the prophet (pbuh) and Islam is a bad idea'!
  18. ^^The problem is money and it is obvious a train is needed. The problem is getting people to agree on a train between emirates (xaga lacagtaa laga fakaraa meeshan)
  19. ^^There are plenty of Islamic Institutions. A 30 minute crash course is too little? Who says? Better than nothing for people visiting your country right? There seems to be a hint of Anti Arab sentiment in here. a) Give the shiekhs the benefit of the doubt (there is a ministry of Afqaaf who deal with religious issues) b) Where does it say there will be any commercial gain? c) Somalis should not be criticising Arab leaders who take care of their people (whatever their short-coming). The Museum is a positive however you try to play it folks.

It unlikely it will becoe a shrine.
