Race is nothing new but its always on the periphery ready to jump out at anytime (usually every year or so). In UK/Europe, race is hardly an issue! Not as regularly as in the US. What is wrong with America? Media's infatuation with Islam is very young compared to the race issue.

9/11 and shoving religion in people's face? Man shoots kid and gets 2 years? I don't see the correlation,,,

What is it with America and race? Everything seems to revolve around it at every opportunity presented to the media.

You know, the more I see, hear and read about Obama the more I remember Tony Blair just before the 1997 British elections. Exactly what I was thinking when watching that speech. All he needs to do now is play 'soccer' with his kids and have it beamed on all the News Hours The speech was OK. He simply said what people have been afriad to say in the past. A clever speech at a good time.
