Stories like this whether true or false can snowball and public anger can turn to violence. The president needs to to attack the media with media, which he has shown he can do. So he must first address the alleged jail death immediately. You seem a little confused here. Are you claiming the jail death story is not true?

  6. Osborne's production will reportedly feature English-speaking Muslim actors. It is backed by the Qatar-based production company Alnoor Holdings, who have installed the Muslim scholar Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi to oversee all aspects of the shoot. In accordance with Islamic law, the prophet will not actually be depicted on screen. "The film will shed light on the Prophet's life since before his birth to his death," Ahmed Abdullah Al-Mustafa, Alnoor's chairman, told al-Jazeera. "It will highlight the humanity of Prophet Muhammad." I'll go with that.

  9. Mr Dore told the BBC he was born in Dhusamareeb in central Somalia in 1897 - and has a traditional birth certificate, written on goat skin by his father. Our correspondent says he has an interesting history - in 1941 he joined the British colonial forces as a soldier for 10 years and then served as a police officer after Somalia won independence in 1960. Altogether, Mr Dore has 114 children and grandchildren. His oldest son is 80 years old and three of his wives have died. He says he hopes his new bride will give him more children. " It is a blessing to have someone you love to take care of you," he said. All together now,,,aaaaawwwwwww

    The Wire

Well after my last post a Chinese lady knocks on my door a few days later and has a stash of DVDs. Seasons 1-4 of The Wire. Just finished season 4 and wow what a show. They killed Bodie! Damn! That was harsh! All the characters are very good and there is some brilliant acting. Loved the western scene between Brother Mouzone and Omar in season 3. Best characters Bodie, Omar, Avon, Stringer, Brother Mouzone, Tom Cercetti, Daniels, Freeman, Greggs, Mcnullty, BUNK, Prop Joe, Cutty aka Dennis Wise, Bubbles Time for season 5 finale.

When looked from that perspective, this man to the extent he can produce sperms with reasonable speed can meet that benchmark. That is why most people in his locality will not see this as something that warrants a protest. Further more this is not a rare occurrence in Somalia. An old marrying a girl his son could have easily fathered is not breaking news. It may be in some urban centers, but not in the valleys of Galgaduud. What I find annoying is applying western standards of courting and marrying to the nomads living in rural Galgaduud. It’s not fair, I concede, for a 17 year to marry a century old man. But what about if social institutions, religion and culture included, permit such a relationship, and the girl is content with it? Lets put things in context awoowe. There it is.
