  1. Well, the girl is seeking for advise not for critisims! Conscious Manipulation said it all and said it wisely. Alah said: "Udcuu Ilaa Sabiili Rabika bilxikmati wal mowcidati Xasanah" Meansing: "ugu yeer dadka Ala xagiisa si xikmad iyo wanaagleh" First of all the girl doesn't state clearly that she commit Sina so Why some of U making the assumptions she did? FirstLady if U indeed commit the sin, U still have chance to repent and remember Alah loves those who commit sin out of ignorance and repent to him. There are 3 requirments for proper repentance according to Xadiiska Nabiga: 1. In aad danbiga farakalabaxdo(joogiso) 2. In aad ka qoomamayso samayntiisa 3. In aadan dib danbe ugu noqon danbigaas Isha Alah will forgive U if U follow his diin. I also think U should stop seen this guy, if indeed U commit sina with him unless he himself repents to Alah and comes clean, otherwise he doesn't deserve! Who knows when U drop for Alah's sake, out of curiousity, he might start runing after U.

  5. Indeed, Sayid Mohamed was a super-hero, very well known not only by Somalis but internationaly as well. this local University offers couse called" Islam and East African" and Sayid Mohamed was a major figure in the class. The text book has many of his peotry both Somali and english. It was a great feeling and I was so proud of him. here is one of his gabayo in respond to critisims he received from his opponents "Nin Ilaah yaqaan oo sharciga,ku isticmaala Ashahaado loo qoray nimaan, kala allaaweynin Oo aan ankirahayn xaq waa, la oggolaadaaye Nin salaadda awqaadda faral, u addimoonaaya Oo dagada oofinahayoo, ugubka dhiibaaya Oo aan bakhaylnimo abkiis.lagu ishaareynin Nimaan diinta aafo u geleyn, aakhiruu sabanka Oo aan amxaarada sidii, obo u yaacaynin Oo gaalka ooradu ku taal,u askaraynnaynin Nimaan abuurka Soomaliyeed,ka anfi taageynin Oo aan ajuurada kufriga, ugu adeegeynin Oo aan ardiga beesadeed,u ashtakooneynin Nin jahaad ohoominahayoo, ubaxa loo saaray Ingiriiska eygaa ninkii, ugu uneexaaya Oo libin ajri leh soo heloo.or iyo geeraar leh Nimanyahow aqoonxumadu, waa ardaalnimo e Asaraar ma fiicnee runbaan.lagu arooraaye Ninkii aynigaa lagu yaqaan,aw islaan ma aha Shir aguugay waayeel abyamay, tala ashaaddowdey Irda jiqa albaabo isku xiran, eel la bixin waayay Xaajadaas afraha duubatee, loo olmami waayay Nin aqoon leh aw iyo haddii, odaygu loo saaro In kastoo ayaan iyo ayaan, lagu aloollaado Ninkii maalintaa ka aarinsha, aaqil aw ma aha? 6. That is noble thing to do Zaylici. I have seen many things written about Somalis's history but sadly mostly if not all are written by nonSomali individuals and not suprisingly they have contradicting theories about us.
  7. JazakaLah Nur, this is very informative islamically yet with murti. I personally found your postings been highly educational and guidance. Siiwad shaqada wacan.
  8. AlayarXamahum, and samir iyo iman his family. I am pissed off with these ignorant radio personels(KQ station)who made fun of Somalis in a time of tragedy. I think Taxi Drivers should start carring guns. After all, it is legal to bear firearms in Mn.
  9. JazakaLah, Br. Nur. This is very enlightening piece.
  10. There many sites but for me these two stands out: www.islamicity.com www.boqolsoon.com
  11. ..Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of the goal. ... ..They steadfastly refuse to see that "TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM)! They do not understand that they are no better than each other...... WHO YOU THINK THAT APPLIES TO?? SOMALIS, am I right? Honesita, Walalo U misunderstood me. I meant Somalis in general not neccesary those in the US. These are some of the reasons we are homeless for 13years.
  12. Whoever wrote the letter and whatever their intention was, there are some element of thruth in it, but in my view, it perfectly applies to SOMALIS not African Americans! African Americans tirelessly strived for their rights in the face of brutal oppression. Of course they lack behind in many areas of life, but who wouldn't given their dark history of past slavery and institutionalized and systematic modern form of slavery that African Americans have been living under. ....Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of the goal. ... ..want to promote their name without making any real change in their community. They steadfastly refuse to see that "TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM)! They do not understand that they are no better than each other...... WHO YOU THINK THAT APPLIES TO?? SOMALIS, am I right?
  13. 1-keep privacy: I would never talk about things between us to others(even if we are going to divorce and people ask me why, I would never revail anything happen between us) 2-I would try not to get Angry when he is angry even if I know he is wrong, why, b/c if both of us get angry simultaneously, we wouldn't be able to resolve anything. I would wait till he calm down and rational again and I would make him accountable. 3-I would ever compare him with other who might be more successful than he is.
  14. Cheating and unfaithfulness come in when there are some uncertainties about what the individual wants in his or her life/relationship. If the picture of what the person wants is clear in their mind, they either get it or they are in search for it, but know exactly what they are looking for and if they are lucky enough to find what they r looking for, no room for looking beyond their mates (of course there could be temptations and momentary appeallings even if one is in their ideal relationship, but these are temporary and short lived) Unfortunately, we are not in a perfect world and most of us don’t have a clear picture of what we want in life. My advise to you is, figure out what exactly U want. It is far more rewarding to be alone than to be in a relationship that you are not fully engaged in.
  15. quote: ------------------------------------------------- The treacherous Brits faced more resistance and lost more men than Italians and they had to use planes to save their skins. ------------------------------------------------ Youp-Shiekh, British Used air planes to eliminate Sayid Mohamed and Darawiish, are U telling me Sayid Mohamed was Norther/Somalilander? Please read the Somali history. Who were they Somali freedom fighters for over 20 years? Infact it was the fear of Sayid Mohamed that British wouldn't sold U out to the European market!!!!! Posts: 12 | From: Meel Geel leh | Registered: May 2003 | Identity: Logged -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and one more thing Mr. Youp-Sheikh, The primary armforces/tools British used to combat agains Darawish were now So called "Somalilanders" Just read the peotry of Sayid Mohamed and U would get enlighen with facts __________________________________________________ Really...........
  16. opinionated wrote: "Why don't you stop acting like you are more civilized and calling other people from other region names! I think it's pathetic to boast something you haven't yet received...your very own country! Personally, I don't care too much for Somali politix..nor do I care if Somaliland doesn't want to be a part of Somalia..but what I can't stand is too much pride and disrespect for others because of that pride!" __________ The answere is, people who take extra effort to show off pride and brag themselves, have (according human psychology)fear of inherent INFERIORITY. The true of the matter is if U are confident and self-assured, they would be no bragging and no external pride!!!!!!!
  17. Well said Baashi, I couldn't agreed with U more. I don't consider myself Norther or Souther for that matter, but I notice here the the pro "Somaliland" folks don't have a rational argument..........
  18. To: Angel-Dust, LANDER and all the others who are talking big about Somaliland, before U make any noise or brag about Somaliland and keep away from Somali, stop for munite and think the word: Somali-Land. The name was invented in the 18 century by British colonist to denote the Somali country as a whole, here U are some hundred years later using the same name for few cities in the Northern Zone of Somali. Practically, we, all Somalis, are from the land of Somali in short Somaliland. May I suggest to U if U want to be separate( I don't know how that is possible) to come with a new name. one could closetly resemble to what U have in mind when U say "Somaliland"(Burco iyo Hargayso, maintly). Don't drag the this great name( Land of Somalia) which encompasses all Somalia to refer to such small Territory. If U need any help with naming let me know...........
  19. Superman, it very creative of U to take time and find the best way to approach her since the first impresstion plays significant role of how she will perceive U from there on. Rules: 1- do not be explicit and upfront 2- get to know her more through other people U may find out she is not what U though she is or she could already be taken. 3-Go places she goes more often, if U go same school, may be the library or comp labs.. some public places U know she will be. Then Say: SalamuA.. Make sure U say her name when U are greeting her, that would show that U care for her enough to know her name. Try to have light conversation with her, nothing personal. DO NOT talk about yourself, ladies generally hate men who breggs about themselves. 4- find common interest, things U can both be involved, in other words, try to be just a friend until she feels comfortable with U then U can go ahead and tell your story or at that point if she would wants U there will be all kinds of green light signals. otherwise, if she is not interested U could read that off from her too. This may be long way to go, but it is worth it if ur really serious about her and want to know who she is before U open yourself up. I hope that helps, Siman
  20. The guy is going to bear greater butten of involving with U after U left his cousin. Check his motive first.
  21. Libaax, did U consider perhaps holding some seminars for the fellows nomads it seems they are in dark understanting how to deal with S.women. The phrases like" naag Somaliyed asxaan maleh" became cliché for them. When if fact they fail to assess the situation correctly and handle it according. They are quit in blaming the lady and generalizing to the entire S.women population.
  22. did U had the present guy in mind when U left ur ex- or was it just pure coincident that U happen to involve with him after gis cousin was done? If the reason U left him was to be with his cousin, I would say that is little bit immoral, but if the deal with the cousin started way after ur-Ex was done, then go for it.
  23. Geelaay, It is easy to command on things when one is removed from the real experience, but the fact is only U know the real the case, just follow your best judgement and instinct. If U are not betraying anybody and the story btw U and the cousin is over, I see no problem having relationship with his cousin. I agree though, it is little slipery having to deal with someone that U view as "dumaashi" before!
  24. Explain little more, are they first cousins, how deep the relationship was U had with his/her cousin?
  25. I just want to take a moment and remember the great founding father of Somali. It was May 15, 1943 when Somali Youth League(SYL)was created. I wonder how these young people were differrent than today's Somali youth? here is the names of the creators of SYL: 1. Cabdulqaadir Sakhaawe-Diin 2. Maxamed Cali Nuur 3. Yaasiin Xaaji Cusmaan (name of my favorite school) 4. Dheere Xaaji Dheere 5. Cali Xasan Maxamed (Verduro) 6. Xaaji Maxamed Xuseen Xaamud 7. Maxam'd Faarax Hilowle (Farinaajo) 8. Khaliif Huudoow Macalin 9. Maxamed Xirsi Nuur (Sayiddiin) 10.Cusmaan Geedi Raage 11. Maxamed Cusmaan Baarbe 12. Daahir Xaaji Cusmaan (Dhegaweyne, only one alive) 13. Maxamed Cabdullaahi Faarax (Xayeesi)
