LoL guys easy on old' Southall. It is my vacation zone, thats where i hang out when i have few days to spare. Idil...Lol that shop is called Towfiiq and the owner was called Cusman dheere (who now owns another shop in Elephant and Castle), now owned by Ahmed Dheere from Norway. I know alot about the shop coz i helped open it in 1997. I remember even painting the decor Blue and White... earlier days when the internet connection was AOL and not DSL/broadband, there was one computer to start with, so I and Cusman (who is a good friend of mine) had to add 3 more lol. Oh those were days, short of cash and very inventive. In fact the shop was my second Job. The picture where you see Xawaalada Dahab shiil use to be Jubba Afro-Hair Saloon, jubba later moved to Wembley Square. And D.H took over the place. On the lefter shops there use to be the famous SNOOKER-shop owned by Cusman Xuti and run by a late friend who suddenly died in 99, AUN- amiin. On the right to what is now D.H head quater, there Star-Telekom owned by C/casiis and still owned by him, once use to be run by another C/casiis...now others do. The onwer of this shop introduced the cheapest Intl calls in Southall, i remember Somalia 0.29, Kenya 0.29p and this has had an impact on other call-shop owners. oh.... I can write a book about Southall lol Laters

Tribute to Edward Said It is with heartbreaking sorrow that the Palestinian National Initiative announce the tragic death of Edward Said who passed away today after eleven years fighting leukemia. At this time our thoughts and love are with his family. We wish them strength and courage and assurance that Edward will be a man forever remembered not only for his incredible achievements but for his remarkable qualities as a friend. Though words may do little at such a time to assuage the pain and grief something must be said to pay homage to a man and a life we should truly celebrate. A man with great courage and clear conviction Edward Said was a shining light in a confused world. As a true intellectual giant, Said inspired all fields with his accomplishments. The passion which infused his intellectual abilities presented him as a man with clear visions to be greatly admired, trusted and respected. Though his beliefs and commitments presented him with many challenges his statements and many testimonies of outrage at the hypocrisies, contradictions, and indignities so rife in the world gave him the integrity and honesty for which he was renowned. A prolific writer Said addressed all issues of culture, colonialism, imperialism, language and literature. As a Palestinian exile much of his political writing came from personal memories yet he remained objective and grounded not only affirming the Palestinian presence but also pointing toward a future where peace is possible. Among spokespeople for the Palestinian cause surely there was none so articulate, so inspiring, so admired. For the Palestinian National Initiative, a movement striving for democracy in Palestine itself co-founded by Dr. Said, the death of this unique and most prominent leader, a man of values and integrity who truly believed in freedom and justice is a great loss. The Mubadara remain determined to follow in his foot steps, and remain committed to his vision, conveying all his hopes and values not just of a free Palestine, and free Palestinians but of freedom for all, the world over. The sense of loss felt by the death of such a great intellect, gentleman and friend is immeasurable. His eminent work of decades and all that he stood for will remain forever a monument for justice, and human rights. As a man of courage, graciousness, hope and dedication, his memory will remain forever in our hearts. Mustafa Barghouthi Secretary Palestinian National Initiative

feng shui (pronounced "fung shway") is the Chinese discipline that teaches us how to attract and enhance our life energy (called chi) according to how our homes are arranged. It takes abit of time to explain but in a nutshell it idealises your home and divides it into sections. These divisions could be translated as different aspects of your life.... so every section of the home deals with....an aspect of your life....these sections are said to be nine....called something like bagua! or the map of feng shui ... it looks something like this... it is abit of nonesense some of it... but ...i like the desin without associated anywhre to anything.... they say your front door opens into your skils and knowledge, career and helpful individuals....... for more infor....check this page out .... Change your life with Feng Shui

Deadly, LoL I guess you are right, but remember poetry isn't confined to what one feels! Sometimes there could be a far-reaching poem with hidden intent in its lyric. There could also be the poem in which one recites or writes for the sole purpose of getting a certain reactions or attention... Each occasion has its own type of poetry, anger/rage, love/joy, imagery/metaphor, and many other occasions tend to conjure up a lyric with difference! However, I can understand your point, and to some extent i think i know the type of poetry you're talking about. -----Types of Poetry: Narrative Poem - A narrative poem is a non-dramatic poem that tells a story or presents a narrative. A narrative poem may be long or short, complex or simple. Some Types of Narrative Poems: Epics Ballads Metrical Romances Dramatic Poem A dramatic poem is a poem that employs dramatic form or technique. Satiric Poem A satiric poem is a poem that treats its subject with irony and/or ridicule. Didactic Poem A didactic poem is a poem that is intended primarily to teach a lesson. Sonnet A sonnet is a lyrical poem of fourteen lines, highly arbitrary in form and following one of several rhyme conventions. Ode An ode is a ceremonious lyrical poem marked by exhaltation or feeling and style. An ode has varying line length and complex stanzas. [/b] Elegy [/b] An elegy is a sustained and formal poem setting forth the poet's meditiations upon a grave theme (usually death).

Me Vote Is for None But Thee

It's really NOT that complicated, Jamaal. Opinionated, I am not sure whether debating about Religon and faith is complicated or not, but one thing i know is; the conflict that exists between extreme faith and extreme reasoning needs people with great wit in the differentiation of the two. I don't think it is complicated at all , neither do i think otherwise!

Should people talk of solutions to a problem that is difficult to farthom? I find the notion of saying NFD Somalis must, and should, by any means secede from Kenyan rule abit shallow and less thought of. For God's sake, how can one seek independence from one rule to no rule? Let Somalia get back on its feet, and only then would the talk of self-determination or total independence make sense.

Faith and Reason Hmmmm! conflicting! this is where philosophers come in.
