  1. This thread is going to turn into a copyright battle . Yaa alifay heesta, 'nin inaga ah' maya 'mid inaga ah buu ahaa'. War maya labadiinuba waad khaldan tihiin 'mid reer kale ayuu ahaa' . Anyway, heestu waa ay macaan tahay, anna intaa ayaanba ku jecladeey heesta. Macnaha waa illaa uu mid reerkayaga ah hees inoo alifo . Lol@Kool. You first noticed the gender equality and then the emotional qualities of the song. Right on girl - stay sharp and focus on equal opportunity .

  3. Must be a serious damage of his hope. Posts like these can be seen in many categories! I am too about your in the hope you lost in Somalis. Not that I can claim to have much hope in Somalis anyway..but my displeasure has been hitherto unpronounced. Hope you find the hope you lost, redka, 'cos this is a serious issue.

  8. Beautiful tradition that should be kept alive and protected. The world is fighting to impose uniformity on all these different, yet fascinating traditions, and make them abide by the laws of exhibitionism . I don't think it's the wife's fault to seek divorce for the single fact that the husband has subscribed to the preservation of this tradition, and had done so for the last 30 years. If he thought he'd be overcome by temptation then he shouldn't have entered into the marriage in the first place. She has a right to ask for divorce and also inheritance of halve of his wealth.

Umu Zakaria, I think you should give it a try, the medical field I mean. If you have the necessary will and courage to see it through, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't pursued it as a carier. As for the mid-wifery option, if you can stand doing it as a job for many years to come, then you are the right person for it. Go for it,Umum.
  10. ^^LST, noticed the speed difference and have appreciated it. So it means the sudden clitches are likely to have been smoothened out? Thanks man.
  11. Cara, lol . You are good at this I must say. Would love to pick your brain some day . Xiinfaniin, ina adeer, I like to consider myself a believer and I happen to believe in the existance of those creatures. That they are jotting down all that we say, do and think there cannot be a doubt. But I hope believing in dreams isn't such a big sin as to nullify whatever good that might have gone towards my records. I am sorry, brother. I cannot forget about them, I mean dreams for now because I am mindful of the now-after. The other problem is, what you say might be previous of what has been, is, and to come, is not how I see them. I saw them as the state of the now.
  12. ^^I was never such a great believer of time but rather in dreams. Time never had any significance for me as I believed 'life' itself to be something more different than as we know it. I did not live as long as 250 in the era of Blake, but in 2004 I said about life: To this question I answered: we cannot remember dreams that we have well for the basic fact that the now-ness of life is powerfully reflective in all capacities of our mind . We truly belong in dreams but because life is a test to the future goodness for our dreams, our minds develop adoptation to life and we become very focused and determined to pass the test that is present. When that test (life) – is over, meaning when death marks the end of the test, we may shift back to sleep and dreams. From: Dreams or Life So Mr. Legend, we belong in dreams

  19. Bravo Hirda Walle. They are doing a rewarding job runtii, maasha-Allah. I hope the organisation finds it earlier to increase its capacity and reach, in order to undertake similar wonderful work in many parts of the country's schools. Bright future, so glad some kids are attending school after all these years. Thanks Hirda. And thank you Horn for posting the link.
  20. ^Considering the percentage of youth currently in unemployment, and without any source of income, I believe sex-tourists are bound to find willing victims. This is adding the fact that these youngsters do not necessarily considering such sexual exchanges exploitative. If anything, sleeping with these white women (as old as they may be), is considered prestigious to the young man's reputation as a man. 'Nime lala na mwamke mzungu' or 'I have slept with a white woman' could simply become a bragging phrase, to which many others might aspire to. On the aspects of the sex-tourist's exploitation upon local girls/women, one may not be surprised in, for example Mombasa or Malindi, well kept houses of pleasure catering to every of the white male tourist. To be quite honest, this trade has somehow become synonimous with all coastal paradises where unemployment is at high percentages. This is a problem Kenyans unfortunately share with many poor communities in South-east Asia to the Caribean islands. Everywhere there is sun, sand and sea such trades are mostly to be prospering. Shame but true.
