  1. Kool Kat - I can only talk about what i see and many peoples marriage are not perfect. Some are. but many are living in a marriage that is dead and the fear of divorce is too great to separate. hope that helps eedo.

  3. yeah thats true oz_girl. i am willing to try at least, but only after a introduction. kool Kat, because many realise what their partners promised come to a crashing halt. its all lies in the end.
  4. How do you feel about it. are they the cure to the rotten institution that is Somali marriages. cos all those who find their own love are disappointed in the end. there is something about the unknown that is exciting and stabilising. Its like Forest Grump said. life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what your gonna get. I wouldnt mind a nice BIG purple one. There is a young charming pretender who is my mums friend son and I fancy him. I wouldn't mind him at all ruunti. He is hot. , word is that he is into arranged marriages and has asked his mum to find him a suitable wifey.
  5. Went to Tarweeh on Saturday and was very disappointed with the behaviour of some of the somali people in the masjid. They were making alot of noise. Why do they have to embarrass us all the time. the masjid should limit the number of somalis.
  6. I have been trying a simple diet during ramadan. I usually eat fruit salad, porridge, 2 sambuus (vegetable), 1 cup of orange juice. And either humous or lentils with Turkish bread for dinner.
  7. I'm a little worried that I might be gaining weight and developing bingo wings five days after Ramadan started. I use to work out but with Ramadan, it has been difficult with preparing all the food for the family and going to Taraweeh prayer. Any tips. I drink Turkish weight loss tea but this isn't not good especially with Ramadan and having an empty stomach for the most part of the day.
  8. Salam sisters and brothers in Islam. Yesterday, I went to Taraweeh Prayer and fortunately didn't spot any shenanigans with the somali children. Mashallah. this is good so far.

  13. The young girls tell their parents that they are going to mosque, some even come with their mothers and fathers but skip out while their parents are doing the prayer. The mosque is located in a busy area. I have seen some people linking.
  14. Salaam sisters and brothers in Islam, Hope you all having a splendid ramadan. May Allah make our sawn beneficial and accept our prayers inshallah. Yesterday I witnessed something that deeply shocked me. I was in the women section of the local mosque doing the Taraweeh prayer, when the iman made an anonouncement about the behaviour of the children praying at the mosque, the iman was very specific and said that somali children especially somali girls need to behave themselve. I was very embrassed as you can imagined and this is not nice especially when there are not many somali women praying at the mosque. After I prayed the first 8 as ever, I made my way to the bus stop then realised that the somali girls were walking in a gang of 10-15 all aged 11-17ish or the like. They were walking in the back alleys presumably linking the somali boys in the area. I was heartbroken and shocked deeply that our children have become so bad. At first the iman use to complain about somali boys but now its somali girls. Subah-Allah.

  18. The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful Stop me and steal my breath And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky Never revealing their depth And tell me that we belong together Dress it up with the trappings of love I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above And I'll be your cryin' shoulder I'll be love suicide And I'll be better when I'm older I'll be the greatest fan of your life And rain falls angry on the tin roof As we lie awake in my bed And you're my survival, you're my living proof My love is alive, and not dead And tell me that we belong together Dress it up with the trappings of love. I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above And I'll be your cryin' shoulder I`ll be love suicide And I'll be better when I'm older I'll be the greatest fan of your life And I dropped out, I burned up, I fought my way back from the dead, I tuned in, I turned on, remembered the thing that you said. And I'll be your cryin' shoulder I'll be love suicide And I'll be better when I'm older I'll be the greatest fan of your life
