  1. No its not about somalis girl putting on a weave. Its a description of the type of hair and yes hablaha somaliyeed Ilaahey timo siiyey(most not all)..
  2. Che You know I got only pure love for Puntland Just setting the record straight for all the Ali welfare ku kore type we seem to have plenty of in SOL ee magacaagu halqabsi ayuu ahaa ee xaal qaado
  3. Che Contrary to beliefs that you might have the land of Punt is not present day Puntland and contrary to Somali beliefs the land of Punt and its people were not Somalis. They were the original inhabitants of what we Somalis today call Somalia.
  4. A blind man by some miracle had his eyesight for only a few seconds. The first thing he saw was a rat.Intaas marku arkey ayuu hadana idhiihii dam noqdeen.Maalintaas wixii ka dambeysey wax kasta oo loo sheego wuxuu odhan jirey is it bigger or smaller than a rat.... Somalinimada la sheegayo meeshey ka timid waxaa fiicnaan laheyd qof kasta in uu marka hore barto. The history of Somalis from the very mention of that word till today kuwa kor u qaada iyo kuwa xaarka ku masaxo barta.History of Somalis meeshey ka timid iyo meeshii lagu tilmaayey marki horena barta.Ha noqon the blind man wax kasta jiirka ku tiilmaamyey.Ignorance is a bliss baan maqli jirey but for some folks waa lifelong bliss bey ila tahay.
  5. Waar kan Nayruus la yidhaa anaa gartey.Waa kuwii sida haweenka ragga xagooda dambe ka mashaxaradi jirey markey rag is galaana gogoraddaha haweenka xidhan jirey haweenka isku dhex qarin jirey....Iga walee kani hadalkiiso jawaab malee women section u diraa xagaa tampoonskii ugu dambeyeey haweenka ha u sheegee....
  6. Aar kuwaanaa Nuur cade waa ka dareen. This is a total waste of time.Another thing I noticed whenever Riyaale leaves the country why does he take his wife with him?
  7. Arrintan waxey la mid tahay "Dhashi hooyadii umusha barey"....
  8. ^^^^Just like the way you believe in Yey but then again that is like the mastercard commercial priceless....
  9. Is it me or is the prime minister being welcomed like he is a visiting foreign leader.Baydhabo ka duuley Mogdisho aadey why all the fuzz.
  10. FYI...The author of that article has since then become the Speaker of the Somaliland parliament a post he has held for over 7 years. He currently lives in Hargeisa and is one of the Somaliland elders......
  11. If at all this is going t help I think the current meetings in DC fall in line with earleir Pentagon department statements to engage Somaliland. Its no longer a matter of if but rather when now. The Somaliland leader also had Washington meetings this week with officials from White House National Security Council, the Defense Department, and the U.S. Agency for International Development.
  12. ^^^This reminds me of that age old Somali joke of kii reer xamarka ahaa ee marki xaaskissu ku dhahtey Aweys tuug aa guriga soo galey kolba siduu ulahaa car ha soo dhaafo markii uu qolka ugu soo galey ku dhahey xaaskiisa dhib ma jirto beri le suuqa ka soo gadaa wax kasta u xado.... Theres no war and I sincerely doubt if there will be war.The only war mongering going on now is in qurbe and a few high on western welfare checks who are pushing for it.I even heard of a guy who cashed his food stamps to pay for a few bullets but ultimately dadka wadanka ku nool know and understand that war is not a viable option. They are fed up.
  13. I wonder why the usual suspects are not writing in this post......As far as the menu went it was bariis iyo dheylo. And there was a little shaah with xawash at the end.Topics discussed included how the wild somali azz running wild in the South can be domesticated if at all that is a possibility.Riyaale was quoted as saying naa hedhe hunno kuwaas ilaah bey leeyihin ee anaga maxaad noo heysaa. And with that the lunch was over.Maxaan ilaabey bal soo daaya basbaskana ka ilaaliya hadalkiina..... PS Looking through the pictures of the reception/meeting with the Washington DC community I couldnt help but notice a very large and prominent contingent of the Sool community.I even had a friend who by day was protesting infront of the State department along with a few others and by night was standing up to receieve Riyaale at the DoubleTree.Makes me wonder what type of drama ayaa dadkan loo dhigayaa. PPS As far as the drama infront of the State Department went the Sool folks were under the impression it was an all inclusive event bringing together reer Puntland oo dhan but at the end of the day it only came down to a very small number of reer Sool(hal jilib to be specific) intii kale cited the exteremely cold winter weather for their no show but at the Riyaale reception cid kasta wey timid even the no show folks at the State department.
  14. ^^^^LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL signs of a true optimist
  15. Ragga hooyoyinkaas soo saarey oo yidhi dhaxanta kalaya oo ku mudaharaada walee in sheekh loo geeyo la meheriyo weeye....Mamoyinka karamada ha ka qaadina oo kamarad ha u dhigina dhaxanta dhaceysa oo la og yahay.
  16. Ngonge Sources in Washington DC tell me that Riyaale is so saddened by the snub.He is however not deterred and will go on a tour of the White House and have his moment there but only as a ordinary tourist....
  17. True LST,if she loses NH,the gloves are off...No more Miss Nice....
  18. Whatever he is saying he seems to be winning in NH as well, this according to the news agencies.....Double digit lead ayey leeyihiin but one thing is for certain more turnout than the last primaryb 2004....Good sign that he might take this state as well but Hilarys camp still far from calling quits, says the race is far from over.Super Tuesday will ultimately decide who will represent the Democrats in my opinion but I have this lingering doubt whether he can beat the republican candidate haddu soo baxo.....Rumorville ayaa leh republicans ayaa macal dooranyaa Obama makes him a much easier candidate than Clinton and if that is correct it explains the large registeration of independent voters.Republicans waa ciyaal suqiin waxiid
  19. This is one such place where you could potentially become a teacher not only in English but if qualified for other subjects.....Proud to call this one of the best schools one could teach at...Sandford International School
  20. LST Sounds more like a former NSS officer was running your dugsi quran..... As far as I remember Dugsi macalin dalabey in Hodan wasnt fair to me either...Luckily we moved when I was six but I remember washamsi, uul miri miri iyo the occassional slap when I got the recitation wrong...Imagine the horror oo adoo carablow ah oo af carabi lagu yidhi akhri....Waar Somaligi baa dirqi nagu ahaa mise mid kale. One day I got the royal beat down and I remember telling my cousins from Waqooyi who were studying in the Uni and macalin dalabey ayaa la raadshey and he was given a lesson he would never forget.Sidetan sabaxadood kadib he swore he would never touch me....Payback is a biitch baan maqli jirey....
  21. North One of my college buddies...Masters in Soil Mechanics and a bachelor in Civil Engineering but the pay is all that matters because he works currently for the Dept of Transportation of one the states here and they pay very well but he wouldnt mind moving for the right price....somewhere in the high 90's is what he is looking for..
