  1. ^^^^Growing up there was this fellow whom everyone called Pele bilaa nigis and the reason he was called that was his flashy soccer kit that was no match for his skills or in this case lack of on the playing field.I suppose If you fail constantly at what people think you know best there's no harm in trying something different.....
  2. ^^^The humor in this piece seems to have eluded most after Somaliland was spotted in the story. I have this feeling that the author employs a very similar style of writing to someone in SOL....Any ideas NG

Gedid. War wuxu dhaqan xumaa ma qoti baa? Dadkaan qodaalka laga keeney and brought to america and has been let loose; war wuxu wuxuu ku hadley dhugo? Gediid, you must give xaal for this offensive and disgusting insult against a sister. How dare you utter such a filth? mise gabdhaha D-block sida ragooda aad uga baqdo ayaad iyagana ula dhaqantaa? Back to the topic. Sayidka; like it or loathe him; his position in the history of our nation is clear (read if you will, what you are masters had written gediidow about this lagend of a man; Mad Mullah of Somali-Lands by Douglas Jardine). Gaal raac waligiis waa lagu yiqiin waxaanoo kale. I am nor surprised by the pure hediousness of Gediid & Co they are just putting qabiil before the nation and this has continued to their sad situation 2007!. Alaha yarxamuhu LOOOOOOOOOOOL This is a classic case of why I am strongly in favor of a caste system among Somalis. Xiin I am not reer Gediid saaxiib as you would like to blv but the name when I picked it waxaan ula jeedey NEW from the Arabic word Jadiid but with an Egyptian twist.Dad farabadan oo maanta SOL ka mid ah ayaa taas ceedeyn kara.
  4. ^^^^^^Jealousy kulahaa hunno what ever brings a smile to you I doubt in aan jealous ka noqon doono Ilaahey farasna ha ka dhige..... Che Your whole argument revolves around end justify the means but in this particular case have you ever asked yourself what his actions brought to the Somalis. What did he achieve.Did he liberate any Somali territory from the colonizers even for a short period. The answer to all those questions are NO.As a Somali I doubt I could even recite any of his poems in public and hope to gain the admiration of my fellow Somalis.Markaas how can you truly say he was the father of the Somali nation????? PS Try answering the questions without trying to analyse me.
  5. It seems like the Africans now can bargain from a position of strength. With a growing China hungury for raw materials Europe and America are now longer the only destination for African raw materials.
  6. ^^^^I thought your grandfathers were running from his sword but now you make wonder if it was something else they were running from..... I suppose his famous words "markaan wab ka siiyaan waabku iga dulaa haddi la sii wado it would end like this Markaas bey raggu qaar sida haween u lafyoodaan...... Dude you are confused. You think since ninkan aad qabiil ku raacdey anyone against him qabiil bey ku diideen.Runta haddi leysku sheego maaha qabiil baan ku diidey its his actions that I think was wrong,I think highly of his oratory skills and his leadership skills but what he did is what I'm against. He killed innocent nomads not because they were against him but for their camels and its well documented. This same man killed one of his lietuntants and his young son becuase he feared he was becoming too popular among the soldiers, when asked why he killed the son too he said so beri kan yari ma kori doono and try to avenge his fathers death.War wax kale iska daa ninkii gabayaddiisa xifdi jirey ayuu waran ka taagey marku ku soo celiyey gabay cusub oo uu markaa sameyeey. Now ask yourself was that the actions of a great man or that of a mad bandit...? PS Meeshaan reer ahaan dagno weli Sayidku maba u soo dhawaan just to satisfy you and your tribal argument.

  8. Xiin Intuu Ilaahey magac bini adan sameyey Ina Abdulla faraskiisi ayaad isku bixisey.Of all things to name yourself after you chose an animal  Che I hate to disappoint but Aw Mohammed Abdille Hassan did not kill my grandfathers or get anywhere near them.If you were alive back then when the the Aw Abdille was chasing your grandfathers around with their tail between their legs, what would you have done?Sorry you can disregard that we all know why you here.... PS: Hitler,Stalin,Pol Pot and their likes all believed they were doing the right thing and strangely enough till today you have ****** who beleieve what they did was right.Aw Muxumed is no exception.
  9. Originally posted by General Duke: you have all the secessionist of SOL looking for Duke so they could get more info to satisfy their new habit. 10. This thread should be renamed "A Nation in search of a hero..... Since when has a maruading bandit become the father of the nation.I guess he has Aabo Siad to thank that for and I wouldnt be surprised if not so far in the future Siad is eleveted to some sort of a position similar to this one.
  11. Talking about Bir jabtey Suldaanow my car broke down today waxey igu noqotey wadna qabad.I suppose the same must be the case for odeyga taageerayashisa....
  12. Libreville Gabon from the corniche is beautiful.

  14. Gediid

    C'mon!!!

How does one forget Somali living with parents who both only speak Somali???????
  15. Baashi its the dirt under those nails that tell the truth of what plate you eat from sxb secondly Goobta weligey waan wada qaxweyn jirney ee ina gumeed meesha ka dhex buuqa aan la wayin.... As far as your facts go I believe you and I are on the same page but unfortunately our priorities are slightly different and I doubt if tonight is the appropriate night for me to try to explain as I have a lovely date waiting. Farax What truth are you alluding to saaxiib. Is it the truth that says Somaliweyn waa MUQADAS mise ta leh Somali kala guurtey ee nin kasto taada ka tasho.....
  16. The truth is never rude, its hiding the truth that is rude and annoying. You see xiin what you and several folks in here are doing is looking for fish to fry and apparently the small fish is where you pour all your scorn on when as a principle you are supposed to pick on the bigger ones, like Abdillahi Yusuf and his likes who have given Ato Meles and his cohorts a free hand in Somali affairs.Somaliland is one of a few areas where Somalinimo weli sharaf ku leedayahay and instead of celebrating that you are quick to bash that with all your might.Somaliland isnt the problem, never has been and I doubt it will ever be but with all your mixed priorities you have made it your priority and that is what I was trying to highlight for you.
  17. Farax I am not supporting what Riyaale does matter of fact I abhore his actions and the actions of his administration but what I cant stand is Somalis attitude of pointing fingers while their own house is in a worse mess. Xiin Iam not trying to counter anyone's "factsheet" but simply pointing out the inconsistencies which I am sure you also share with Signor Baashi.
  18. ^^^^^ You remind me of the ostrich when attacked sticks its head in the sand while its dernierre sticks up for all to see
  19. Two idiiots if you ask me but kuwaas waaxa ka daran kuwa quote gareyey....
  20. FACT +ALL SOMALIS ARE IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER SURROGATES OF ETHIOPIAN HEGEMONY IN EAST AFRICA.
  21. Facts +Ethiopian petroluem products arrive through Djibouti rather than Berbera(Berbera is ill equiped to handle that) + Adeer Abdillahi and his war machine in the form of Ethiopian troops killed more Somalis in Mogadisho than Riyaale has in a lifetime + Riyaale has never come out publicly about Ethiopian presence in Xamar but opposition politicians have and called it a genocide + On the one hand you have the ONLF fighting Ethiopians in region 5 while on the other hand you have Ogadaan foot soldiers in the EThiopian army killing their brethern in remote villages in region 5(a fact Baashi will never mention) + ONLF fighters are known to kill and loot innocent Somalis from Hargeisa and Burco simply because they feel the admin in Hargeisa did them wrong without distinguishing government from civilians. + Its ok for Baashi to jot down a few "facts" that suit his argument in the hope that he will score a few minor but useless points against Somaliland and turn a blind eye to the realities on the ground..... Its about time like you said to call a spade for what it really is so your cover as an intelligent but well meaning/neutral Somali does not get blown
  22. Originally posted by Libaax-Sankataabte: Promise that you would understand this senario and get the most out of it. We nomads are always here to help. Love is governed by three forces. 1. PASSION (that sexual attraction that makes you wanna say....uuuuh. You see him walk by and you shake....that force is called passion.) 2. Intimacy (The close bond between you two partners. Things like sharing secrets, stories, understanding, clicking with each other, having jokes, being around each other, having sex, kissing each other, you know...) 3. Commitment (Commitment is very important in any relationship. Without it, nothing will ever work for you....I mean...if you still have the Somali values....Every nomad queen wants commitment. FOR BETTER or FOR WORSE....Arooskeena aaamiiin....arooskeena aaamiin.) Now, think of what is important to you. Which combination of these three forces is acceptable to you? you can have (assuming that if one force is low in power, it is completly missing) (passion, commitment) ... being married to a good looking guy that you don't click with. You guys don't undestand each other at all. The habit of arguing with each other all the time. (passion, intimacy) ... Going out with a good looking guy that you understand very well, but somehow he doesn't want to get married or something. The commitment that you Somali queen want is missing. This is bad according to our culture. Naa orodoo ninka guurso meelaha ha la warwareegine. (commitment, intimacy) ... this is the case for many Somali families specially the traditional nomads. Convenience marriages. It works most of the time. You raise kids very well and life is good. It is sometimes called the Controlled-Hormones marriage. Hooyooyinkeen and Aaboyaasheen probably went through this back home. (passion, intimacy, commitment) ... this is true love. It is very rare. Don't fool yourself. It is hard to have the three together in marriages. (passion only) ... well, just having sex with a daamn looking guy. (intimacy only) ...Best senario is friendship. He is your best friend. (commitment only) ... Best senario is being married to an old geezer your dad hooked you up with. You don't understand him and you are not attaracted to him. Now, think of what you want out of life. Be realistic and set goal that you can only achieve. You don't want to be dissapointed later. I gotta pick up my little sister from Dugsi quraan. Hope this helps. 5 years ago Libaax was the go to guy in matters of the heart, what ever happened to that side of LST?
  23. Teams I supported Liverpool back in the days of Ian Rush,Souness,Dalglish,Aldridge,Beardsley,Barnes and Grobbelaar my fav goalie. Arsenal when they had Charlie Nicholas,O'Leary,Seaman Adams etc. Spurs when they had Ardilles and Archibald.Waddle,Hoddle,Klinsman and of course Gazza. The team I always hated till today Man United.Hated them when Bryan Robson was captain and Bobby was manager.I also hated Nottingham Forest when Clough sr was was coach and Clough jr was captain. Of all the teams I liked Arsenal are still my team for the style they bring to the game day in day out.
