  1. I was reffereing to the Hadith Quoted by Khayr. I didnt know the issue was in question. I remmber listening to one of Sheikh Boqol soon's tapes a couple of years ago and if I remember correctly, IT was permissible. Whatever the case, it aint worth all the hoolaha about this because I doubt that sheikhs are knocking on these family homes reinforcing suckling.
  2. Why does she f-ing care? I hate sensationalism! It is not her country, her religion, her body, and her issue. I doubt that anyone is forcing these women to suckle grown men. Should they choose to, it is permissible and the guideline must be followed.
  3. I think the original intention was honorable. Stop biting the girl's head off. She merely replicating the platform for today's dacwa. "women should do thism," women should not do that," etc. This is the precise reason why I skip most of the muxaadarooyin. It starts nice and heartwarming, you start to recognize your failure as a Muslim and as a human being, your are reflecting on your shortcomings, and then BAM! accusations start flying and some wadaad is angry as hell now, lumping all women folk into one and he is on a roll now: dumarka sidan, dumarka sidaa.
  4. Morning all. Juxa, I thought you had a nice break from school, no? I decided to stay within the States. Seatle is my destination IA.
  5. Al-Hebels of the world: People should shower twice a day. Being clean sunaday ku soo aroortey. Somali people: Ahem..We couldnt get out of the house for two days now. Dead bodies are pilling outside. Al-Hebels: What? Why would women go outside? Without Muhram and full jalbaab and niqaab, they cant! If they are caught they shall suffer worst consequences. Somali people: There are no jobs. We havent eaten full meals for days now. Al-Hebels: Shirkiga iyo qabuuro worshipping is punishable my death.(reads daliil). If we find you, we shall be off with your heads. Somali people: There is no clean water. Al-Hebels: Any women who isnt fully jalbaabt shall be lashed. Fitna ayey wadaan dumarka. Somali people: The hospitals arent staffed. There are no medical equipments. People are bleeding outside. Al-Hebels: Zina is punishable by death. Somali people: WTF? Where is the goverment? The goverment: Al-hebels dont rule the country we do! Somali people: we are homeless. We need shelters and food. Al-Hebels. Football? Footbal mala daawan karo! (goes to find daliil). Somali people: cuntada UN soo dirto nama soo gaarto. Shalay oo kaliya 100s baa dhintey. Al-Hebels: Hadaad garka xiirtaan iska jira! Somali Shacab: PLEASE HELPS US! IT IS BEEN 20 GOD_AWFUL YEARS. Al-Hebels: In sha'llah dagaalkan ma joogsanayo. We will attack America and all the kufaar countries next! Somali-Shacab: WTF? WTF? WTF?
  6. LOL@ Garowe Gal. I hate Dirac. I dont wear it unless it is a family wedding and I am required to wear it. I hate the whole see-through, could fit 3 people, hot and sticky the minute you move in it, could trip-anytime feeling it gives me. But whateva rocks your boat. Guntiino is worse. I hate it for the precise reason you love it. LOL! It is like painting a clear picture for the world. Speaking of showing off curves. Have you tried hip-huggin, curves shaping, waist trimming summer dresses? If you want to make people stare in disbelief, try that!
  7. KK, use a primer. I only use primers in the summer time because it holds everything in place and prevents that oily, runny look. Before I was introduced to primers, I used suffer from that same problem. Wajiga inaa ka gubtaa u maleeyn jirtay, EWWW!
  8. LOL@bilan. If you want to know his opinions read "Polygamy realistic option for 30 year old" or crap like that.
  9. I liked the stories. Specially the last one. She loved the religion BEFORE she met her fiancee.
  10. OMG! Hello my lovely sisters *Cyber Hugz*! LOL@ Malika, "congelese musicians"? Waxba kuma dhaafin. Hadaba eye shop and enjoy. Ibti, Are you becoming a softie nowdays? Too many people are abusing you? Sidee wax u jiraan? Juxa, how are you enjoying your break?
  11. hypothetically speaking men should not watch half naked men either. it may awaken any supressed laga-roonanimo tendencies quraacdaan ku saxday(sp?). What makes them think Muslim women dont know this already? What I hate the most about these Fatwas and other verdicts is that MEN treat women like they treat little kids. No choice! They are always dictating what they CAN and CANNOT do. @Val, I felt the same way when Italy was playing My goodness! Never seen such perfection at one place! And there is more to come.
  12. I dont think they're "Copying" us per se but rather we have similar culture because of the religion. And I dont think they want to take over anything. Oromos are cool people. Garowegal, I second your hatred for anything baati or dirac at home. I hate it with passion. And I hate it even more when married women wear it.
  13. LOL@xaax. We have the same taste ma is tiri. Thats exactly what I thought. Tuujiye, Waxaan dhan xaasidnimo lee miyaa? Nimankan waa Xaax times infinity soo iska dhaaf xaasidnimada ee soo gado suit and a shoulder bag. I know you have the body for it since you've been hitting the gym constantly.
  14. LOl@"million looks to get over him." There is something to be said about fine creatures. Mashallah!
  15. I fail to see how this is a SIGN from Allah. These sort of things happen.
  16. I used Mac primer and then Studio Fix powder. It very smooth and it stays on for a long time. It gives me that polished look when I wear make up. Bobby Brown also has nice foundations that are a bit more expensive. But when it comes to make up, you should be spendy. It is about quality. I tried the mineral ones like Sheer Cover and Bare Minerals. For some reason they dont work for me. I look like inaan ciid soo marsaday. Besides, they have a hard time matching my skin. Maalin the Asian one bay ii mariyeen, LOL! I looked crazy.
  17. Mac Studio Fix. It goes on smooth and blends nicely. Just go to any Mac store and have them try it on you. They'll tell you which one exactly matches your skin.
  18. LOL! Ha ka cabsan taas. As long as they dont come over and say hello, I glue myself to the machines.
  19. Entique http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owTmJrtD7g8&feature=related Drake, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQIeQ-JJyyA&feature=fvw
  20. lol! I agree with you Adam. I signed up with a gym. And I'm at my third location because in the afternoons(when I take group classes) the gym is packed with wiilal Somali ah. At any given time, you'll see 10+ of them lifting and another 5+ playing basketball. And they're all freaking ripped, like they're about shoot an Ad or something.
  21. Hello folks, Waaw! who knew Somali girls watch sports? All my friends are locked up in their houses(when not working)glued to the t.v. and internet. They're driking so much coffee, and so hyped up that I fear wall punching might insue next. So much testestrone! Aniga I will start caring when finals roll around.
  22. Juxa, Top pic, third one to the right. For some reason, nin waji shuban leh qurux ma u aqaani. Square Jaw and ruggedness is the way to go. I can even ignore his colorful man-purse. About nin qurux badan, I guess I'm shallow. I just love beautiful things(creatures) and hadii quruxda i melt gareeynin we have a problem! Azizah, baxar ha i galinin. I never had the courage or the interest to chat up a man. I admire them from a far dee. I then spread the joyful news and move on. lol!
  23. OMG! Eye-candy indeed! The third one, in the first pic is simply delicious. Speaking of gorgeous men, today I saw the most handsome Somali man alive at my gym. I dont remember what I did after his "asc abaayo Somali maa tahay?" greeting. I had to get out of there fast!
