  1. ^LOool, Culosoow wuxuu iska dhigaayaa sidii wiilkii taagtay ee the old junta Barre kkkk he's too maskiin and clueless compared to Barre even though Barre himself lost at the end of long iron fist rule because all Somalis are armed and will fight. Culusow thought his clansmen from Galgaduud could silence the resolve of reer Shabeelaha hoose, but they are fighting back. Every Somali is armed today and is willing to use his arms for his liberty. After all, Patric Henry once said, Liberty or death!
  2. The local people of Shabeelaha Hoose are fighting against the nominations of officials from Mogadishu. The war and the casualties either dead or those losing limb as a result of this conflict and injustice should be purely the responsibility of Hassan Culusow and his government.

  4. SFG always gets it wrong and in everywhere, why can't they seem to learn a lesson from these failures that most of them led to bloody conflict. Grave mistakes and illegality. Why can't they let the local people to own the process of choosing their leaders.

  7. Baashi;931777 wrote: The era of issuing a presidential decree from Villa Somalia is over. Good riddance. I don't know the details of this particular event and I won't pretend I know anything about dynamics with that region. What I do know is that political settlement called for local ownership for all things related to local affairs. How does having locals choose their local leaders a threat to central authority? It beats me!! The issue goes deeper than personal squabbles between politicians from that neck of the wood. At issue is the direction the country is embarking on going forward. Indeed man. Some of the MPs may be doing this for political point scoring as suggested but the medium they are using is legitimate and that that their call of 'appointing regional officials from Mogadishu' as unconstitutional is right.
  8. Lool@Mooge is in Kismaayo, waryaa what are you doing there, get the heck out of there no fadhi kudirir needed but real politics and setting up administration.
  9. NN, what are you talking about, this is not America or Sweden. Lool @ Supreme court. Its in a pocket waryaa, mideeda kale waxaa kahoraysa ayaa dagaysanayaa Madaxwaynahay iyo RW ayaaba ladhageesaneed iyagana sharciga kutumanaayaan. This is the the wild wild east of Mogadishu - that's why the MP's from are making themselves heard. Basically Jawari ayaa deal lalagalay to run the show in Bay and Bakool, that's why the MP's are angry about the whole thing.
  10. ^Its the other way around. Its the current system that promotes clan domination and clan superiority. Go listen to Professor Ahmed Ismail's latest lecture regarding Somali politics. He's saying only two clans rule Somalia, I agree with him and the best way to stop this is to at least minimize the power of the centre and let every region decide its own matters.
  11. Xx, that's nothing to do with the federal state but the number of states and boundaries. And most of these are self explanatory or explained in other sectioned on the constitution such as the boundaries. It said the boundaries will be that of the old 18 regions. All in all, this is not needed now nor can it half or delay an administration that's in the process to be set up or making progress.
  12. Xiin, Its very difficult to predict how Somalia would look like in 6 months or one year's time. The whole situation is up in the air, we hoped for a better Somalia and expected things to improve dramatically but now the situation looks like its going deep down and perhaps could revive the old clanish rivalries that once existed in south Somalia. The President of Somalia lacks charisma, his personality weak, and had been losing credibility for all the reasons you listed in your first post. He was rumored to be controlled by few interest groups, whether be it HAG or Damjadiid its no secret that he's not an independent thinking man. If I talk about his cabinet, I don't much of a substance there its full of personas non grata and th PM don't even get me started. You talked about the issue of SL, I think its better that they refused to talk and or take part in May conference. There is nothing this SFG could do or can change so its better they talk with the next government. To sum up, someone said before that its a waste of 4 years, that's if they did not add blood and injury to the Somali politics.
  13. The PM's from are right, the government has no power to nominate local and regional officials. This is power abuse, dictatorial, illegal and unconstitutional. “As you all know, a decree dated 4 February 2013 issued from the highest government offices in Somalia appointed a new governor of Bay region and this appointment violates Article 46 and Article 51, of the Somali Federal Constitution,” read a written statement issued by the MPs. Baidoa was making progress and had done a lot of avert the dangers of insecurity and Alshabaab, however the government's rush, ill considered and unconstitutional move made the situation worse. A lot of the progress made now had started to regress and people are scared because of the insecurity and the Ethiopian forces aren't sure to be staying there, it's a mess what this SFG has done.
  14. Xaaji Xunjuf;931726 wrote: According to the constitution the legal set up and formation of the state should be approved by the parliament. That is a lie, where in the constitution does it say that? Please post that section. People confuse a lot of things. This government has nothing to stand on in therms of legality that's why thy are rushing to nominating people for the regions without proper explanations and deliberations.
  15. Che, I don't want him to do what I want. I want him to think out of the box and do away with the spelling of a list. My point is simple Che, when you are going to talks neither you nor the other side knows the outcome but you all have expectations. Now how can you call that talks if you have a list of the outcome with you written down for you from Mogadishu? Saaxid this is not what I'm making up, the list that he had with him were written on all the websites, days before he even went there and same list ayuu lasoo baxay. Isn't that a disgrace. For me my understanding of 'talks' is totally, you talk to the opponent and then see how that develops and make judgement based on that do you arrive at the list. Markaas ayaa ladhahaa, waa list-gi kasoo baxay wadahadalka. I hope you understand what I mean.
  16. ^That is just nothing bu a lip service. Take my word duqa, there is no decision this guy can take. He went there with a per-prepared list. WTF. What the hell is wrong with this PM, I Knew he was weak but had no idea to this point. One must be able to make a decision based on the talks you have with the other side and depending on how the outcome pans out. Hadii kale oo waxa Culusow kuusoo qoray aad rabtid kaliya Kaas wadahal lama dhaho waa wax lagu shubte. Wadahadal micnihisa waa laba qof in midkasta waxa uu haystay jeebka gashado ee lawada markaas wax la isla gaaro balse Saacid markasta warqad ayuu lasoo baxaayay for three days discussion sidii uu gu akhrin lahaa. That's disgrace.
  17. This is good and the President must lead the way otherwise it be hard to tame Mogadishu. Hadii uu madaxdi dhaanteeyo ama is indha tiro, what will you expect from the masses. Mogadishu needs a lot more to clean i and take it back the way it was pre-civil war but this is a small, I mean too small of a start, a lot of issues need to be tackled top of it is security, proper reconciliation, administration distribution and looted properties. Mogadishu is a nightmare of a city and should be given priority right before any other Somali city.
  18. What kind of unconstitutional demands is this clueless minister talking about? What's wrong with this government and why can't they just be blunt and say we don't want a federal setup and will not accept federalism, period. Culosow cannot fool the masses. The people of Jubbaland want their federal state, its a simple as that. Showing up in Kismayo with arrogance and without acknowledging the efforts and the struggle that blood, limb and money lost to getting to this stage, disrespecting the hunderds of elders of the region gathered; and dictating matters throwing lists on the table such as setting up 6-month admin from Mogadishu, that does not sound so constitutional now, is it? This government is doomed to fail right before it even began to crawl. This is not a litmus test but the result of that litmus test.
  19. Very nice placard and I like it but what I don't understand is when ayay Xornimada qaateen yaase gumeeysan jiray oo xornimada laga qaatay?
  20. Oodka I don't think my eyes are deceiving me. Culosow will not win this through legal or even politics to some stretch. What he can do best is what Mogadishu has always done; revive another Dooxada Jubba and cause trouble in Jubbooyinka. However, this time there are no Hiiraale or Jees. The likes of Prof Gaandhi and Aw-libaax are principled men who wish to build a strong Jubbaland, fix their respected constituents then move on the top government positions and question the status of the capital. Men who see the bigger picture and not dwell on Kismayo alone. Both of them have actually talked about that. In an interview aired by VOA Aw-libaax mentioned Mogadisho's status and questioned its situation. Also Gandhi talked about fixing Mogadishu in different interviews recently and that they will raise to discuss issues surrounding Banadir after they finish the Jubbbaland project.
  21. LOoool, that's good idea waryaa, anigaaba adiga ku afduuban lahaa balse too bad, qaad kaliya ayaan kahelayaa
  22. ^Indeed these men are heavy weights. The problem is that Culusow and his damjadiid who are new to the game and ametours, while using Saacid, want to outmaneuver and win against an idea, of which heavy weights are behind it. Men with local knowledge, political experience of every level and with regional and international links. Soon Culusow will learn that he has to up his game and play harder ball or wali ma uusan baranee wuu iska nasan.
  23. Abdiqasim was living in a hotel in Mogadish claiming presidency for a year or so until he was told to forget the hallucinations and was summoned to attend the Somali conference in Nairobi in 2002. Jacphar, you are right, the secessionist see opportunity in the bloodshed of their brothers in the south. Very sad thinking.
  24. What most people are forgetting is that although Gedo folks have a say in this they are not the only stake holders in Jubbaland. The PM will accept what the people of Jubbaland want or he will leave Kismayo with a failed mission. The only lifeline left with him will be to orchestrate a conflict and bloodshed in Jubbaland from Mogadishu. With that said, the reality on the ground in Kismayo is that this is Jubbaland Vs Somali Government, and reer Gedo are on the Jubbaland side. Only Saacid has become Culosow's shadow which matters less.
  25. ^We hoped it will change or at least something will change but if it continues to take the same course as that of Abdiqasim then Somalia will remain to be a mess and another wasted 4 years. Sadly you think that favours the secessionists.
